- For those of you who are newer to doing your nails at home - I didn't forget about you! In this video I share all that I've learned when it comes to doing my nails at home with nail polish and the steps I take to get a nice, clean & long lasting manicure. Removal tips are also covered at the end!

The shaking of the polish right before applying took me so long to figure out. The bubbles drove me crazy! Also always erring on more time between coats to dry minimizes the bubbles for sure! 🔥 great video!
Same! Specially because some brands actually tell you to shake before use so the bubbles kinda become this annoying mystery for some. And thank you!
If you put some cuticle oil on your skin around your nail before doing the soak off method, it will help keep your skin from getting dried out as much from the acetone.
I do that too sometimes! But I feel like I'm wasting it when I do that because I wash my hands right after to make sure I remove the acetone from my nails & skin 😅🤷🏻♀️ so more often than not, I do it afterwards which has worked worked well for me

Yeah! I'd never assume to have all the answers, there's so many ways to do anything and this is just what I do!
Wow! I've learned some new things I thought were impossible, like the proximal nail fold having an actual name, keeping a broken nail on, back scratching a wall... really mind blowing stuff. Oh! And +1 on broken nail rescue video. Thanks!
So, I think I should've used the term "cuticle", the proximal nail fold is right behind that but it somewhat all gets pushed back in the process, nevertheless, always use a back scratcher on your wall, never your nails!

I'm glad this was helpful and a little funny, hehe.. The info. here is geared a bit more towards beginners but I feel like I managed to slip in a few tips for more experienced nail polish users!
I have clips but always forget about them. Will be taking a Glam glitter off tonight so I might use them.
They've worked soo well for me, have not gone back to a regular cotton ball since!
@@KaetheStephanie I pretty much only use the jar that you put your finger in but heavy glitter takes some soaking and then scrubbing on the inside brush.
@@AmyLSchulte Glitter's always a pain to remove compared to other finishes but hopefully the clips give you better results! Regardless, there's always a bit of rubbing to do to get the polish 100% off but I find that it always does almost all the work for me
@@KaetheStephanie Also, thanks for reminding me about the glass file. I forget about that too.
The tip about shaking well and waiting to use the polish aren't going to work on certain polishes that have color separation. the color will start to separate again if you wait to use it.
Good to know! sounds like in that case it's a choice between a possible bubbly manicure or polish separation
For me, if I have a polish that separates in 20 minutes, I might consider letting it go
Omg how did you save that ring nail?! 😮 I am starting to get more into painting my nails, and have been waiting to do the clean up until the end. No wonder it didn’t look as easy as on videos to remove it since I waited so long lol
