I feel like getting the T17, it seems so well made and I love the 5000K X-LED on the T19 (idk if it's gonna be the same high CRI version for the T17 but would hope it is). But there's 2 things holding me back: (i) I've tried an identical UI (T19, only different in mode spacing). It is bloody frustrating. It involves a long duration of zero light when I want to go from low to high and back to low (say, walking on low mode, want to briefly scan an area further away, then go back to low mode). If you observe a T17 user from afar, you'd notice the light keeps cutting out for long periods between bright and dim light (plus some bright flashes when you accidentally hit high while trying to hit low) is what I'm trying to say. I much prefer the way it's done on either the Nextorch TA30C (momentarily holding down the tail switch for overriding high mode and release to revert to previous mode when done) or via loosening of the head/tail. (ii) There's the "stealth" kind of dim, and then there's the useful outdoors kind of dim when it comes to adding a low mode with the intention of better suiting EDC needs. T17's low mode feels like it would be the former, I suppose it's a YMMV thing but I'd much prefer being able to control exactly how much light I need (stepless rotary with shortcut to high), or at least 50/500 in a high-low light.
So let me get this straight. It has only 2 modes to get to one of them. You gotta go through 5 steps. That sounds absolutely ridiculous in today's day and age. Tactical or not? What a waste of time
What emitter is it using????
Nobody mentions that.
Looks like it's comparable to SFT40
lookd like a great light
Hell yeah, new vid!
Can it use a protected button top 18650?

Dear Going Gear! Any discount on this light? In my cart on eBay a while already😅 ya missed Martial (wrong spelling) also😢
The rattle is so audible on this one. Such a turn off for a durable, potted light.
