You don't even get this kind of access from a cruise line. It's an outstanding video. Really gets to show all the behind the scenes and what make a cruise line work. Really make you want to be part of this vacation company and enjoy this cruise
Best job I ever had was as dishwasher/KP at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA out of high school and during college summer break. It is tough work and yes chefs love, love, love using many dishes (the stainless steel pots & pans) but the kitchen crew is a hard working high functioning team. Great content/review and thanks to the crew and owner of Riverside Cruises for the access.
Honestly, I'd far rather do a river cruise like this than an ocean one. Simply beautiful scenery and far fewer people on it, so service would be far more personal. The level of access ya'll have been accorded is simply amazing! The crew are on another level. Splendid!
River cruises all go to the same places so there are crowds at each stop especially during peak season. Also lots of walking for most cities. On many everything from eating to tours is very regimented. Riverside is a vast improvement for eating at least with 24 hour room service that most do not have as well as some leeway in times. Very different than ocean cruises.
Thank you so much for taking the time to show all the workings! A ship like this is such an industrial operation, with so much logistics behind every little thing that shows up at a table or on a timetable. Thank you for making it not only informative, but also fun :)
That galley!!!!! They're not messing about. 15 chefs for 110 guests and 60+ crew. When I was in the Army, I recall one situation, we must have had 150 to 200 people in a particular location, and the number of chefs looking after us was 4 or 5 at the very most.
@@NautiStyles lol, no a la carte. I was so upset I put in a formal complaint lol. Other than maybe a vegetarian option specifically for the few that were, nope, one menu item, but, we absolutely loved it. Those chefs did a phenomenal job. How they made what they did with the little we had, was incredible.
HI GUYS! WOW! I needed a SECOND bag of popcorn! Good job! Because of this video I now know more about the Danube River, its history and its significance in European history than I ever thought I would know. 🙂 Looking forward to your next baby boat Adamas update. Be well and be happy, Duke 🙂
I really like that bridge layout and the way the captain can move his chair up and both see and reach everything from his chair. The way the entire console surrounds you is awesome and looks very comfortable for the captain.
Victoria & Rico this was an exceptional Part#2 Riverside Yacht tour. Well worth the watch and actually getting to know the jobs these people crew actually do. You asked them what was the worst part of the job and hardest job on board a cruise ship Sea/Ocean/River. I agree missing family members/ Friends and hardest job. To this answer I'd say all their jobs. It is extremely hard to keep every guest happy as there's always "THAT GUEST"! Physical work of coarse the kitchen staff mentally and physically. The hardest Mentally and stressful the Captain as he or she is responsible for the ship, crew and passengers safety overall. 10/10 for this video. cheers guys. Rico hope your Aunt enjoyed herself as only got a quick glimpse of her this video.
Thank you, yes a lot of them said what you said (my video was just too long already to include all the answers:) Jenny had a blast!! She is still talking about it
You know what would be cool? A NautiStyles sponsored cruise aboard a ship like this. Bet there'd be enough folks to fill it up. Or maybe take a survey of preferred destinations and port of departure? USA, Europe, etc? And then find a suitably sized ship and location?
@NautiStyles I'm thinking it's one of my better ideas. I follow a diving channel and they do an all inclusive meet, greet and dive once a year and it's always sold out. They book it through them, after getting a deal from the dive resort, but you pay the resort directly, so they don't have to deal with any of the money or hassles.
Thank-you so much for this amazing video, it must have taken some effort but is very much appreciated. On a cold November evening it’s a real pleasure to see you both very much in your element making such great stuff for us to watch. I think Rico might have thought Christmas had come early being allowed to sit in the captains seat and to have a go as it were. I don’t think Rico had expected it at all. Victoria always captivates us and she really excelled from start to finish. I hope you both managed a little time to switch off and enjoy the odd cocktail or a few glasses of Champagne to celebrate the occasion. Both of you selflessly make videos and give us all something special, your time and effort. This was a long video but there was a lot to include and featured some great insight into things. In the video you mention the pods to propel the ship, they are a great way to move the vessel, just as a note on QM2 they have 4 pods at the rear and some serious bow thrusters and it moves away from the dock side without any assistance which is awesome as it doesn’t seem real at the time. I wonder if you guys would ever give QM2 a go, it’s unique and very much an icon of the current age. Christmas is not far away and I sincerely hope you both have a great time wherever you spend it, your new year will be something special just like yourselves. The best is yet to come, your new boat will literally be a new chapter in your lives and you will no doubt be even more special to us all. Thank you.

Like I said last week. You two have worked so hard over the years to give all of us the best tours. This is tops. You have it on tape to remember it in the future. You deserve it. What an Awesome, Amazing Cruise Ship, Incredible Crew, Totally Dedicated, Wonderful, very accommodating in All Areas... Fantastic opportunity to see how these Cruise Ships operate... I am Very impressed with The Crew - Huge Shout Out to the Dish Washing people 💜 Thank You Victoria and Rico for such a great Service and Tour, As Always.. Paul @ Hawksberry River.
Very interesting insight into the River Cruise Ships. It seemed like there was an awful lot of food being prepared for just the 3 "VIP's" on board. I will definitely put a river cruise on my bucket list.
One thing they could do to your suite in the future is add a combo wash and dryer unit with wash powder and whatever else you would put in your laundry in case you want to launder something and that should be for those 2 sweets that you're aunt and you are staying in
A super-tour! Thoroughly enjoyed seeing that vessel. You have a good rapport with the crew, too - which gets the best out them in tours. They seem to be a great team. The Engineer in me, is a bit concerned about the large dropping windows in the suites (around 1:42? ) - if a window mechanism fails (in the open position) - One couple's cruise is ruined. No spare cabin to decant to, with a complementary bottle of champagne to compensate for the inconvenience. So - it could be an expensive 'feature'. Summary - these cruises are gaining popularity, and this is a great showcase for top-tier river cruises. Well done !
In my teens ive worked in a restaurant with 200+ seating capacity and a hotel with 1500+ sleeping capacity that was always fully booked, and both had kitchens that felt smaller than the one on this boat. The restaurant had a single dishwasher, the hotel had 3 older ladies that had to work as late as 4-5-6am till they wash all the dinner dishes.
I would love it if you could post a list of the crew members we "met" that includes their names, job title and home country. Fascinating tour of the ship! Since I am from Texas, I marvel that so many people from around the world speak English so well!
WOW! Almost 2 hours. Victoria, you get an A+ AND a Gold Star for all the hours of video editing it must have taken for these past two videos. Rico, you too. ;o)
Wow, thank you! I really really appreciate it... these 2 videos were hands down on of the the handest edits I have ever done... but you kind words make it all worth it

I apologize for last week missing the fact that there was 2 parts to this tour. I hate to admit it but I was intermittent napping. So I rewatched the end of part one before watching this one. This is an awesome boat! I like the idea of a river cruise. Thanks again for sharing your experience aboard this boat. How did you manage to get a solo cruise all to yourselves? I’m going to guess that they know how big and awesome a following that your channel has, and it was marketing/advertising? Edit: Sorry I probably fell asleep 💤, haven’t been feeling well and all I have been doing is sleep lately. I am feeling a little bit better today, so I did some exercise like the doctor ordered. So I rode my Ebike to the market to stock up for my liquid/soft food diet the doctor has me on before surgery. Lots of high protein yogurt, and meal replacement shakes. Anyway. You two are awesome! Thanks again for the great content.
@ my memory is shot haha. At least it makes all of your episodes rewatchable for me. In my defense, I haven’t been feeling well for the last month. I had to spend a week in the hospital, so now I’m waiting for surgery in December. I have been out of it staying home in bed most of the time. I’m hoping that the surgery will be the end of being sick because I am tired of it. The surgeon seems to think so. Sorry tmi. I appreciate that you take the time to respond, it’s why I keep waiting for every Saturday!
This is an amazing yacht from inside to outside; I think that they need to make you guys ambassador for their company. You'll never see any thing like that in America imo.
I'd like a river cruise. The Volga-Don or the Douro rivers. Or, maybe the St. Lawrence. New sights everyday and you don't have to repack your suitcases everyday.
The flickering is probably due to the frequency differences between the on-board network and the GoPro. The on-board network is certainly 50 Hz and Rico has set his GoPro to the American system of 60 Hz (30/60fps). If you are outside of Amiland, try setting the camera from 30 (60) fps to 25 (50) fps. This should actually prevent the flickering.
WOW this was fantastic, I was riveted to the screen for the whole video. Since I am tech guy this was one of the most amazing videos I have seen, really awesome.
crazy and interesting to get to know this slightly oversized charter yacht through you...!! are you also traveling in Germany with the boat? never mind, thank you very much for your effort and I wish you have a good time on the rivers, and with this cool crew, hehe...!!! greets from Berlin... ☠❤☠
I have been watching your videos for a long time - this is by far the video that I love - I want to take one of these river cruises one day. Superb job !! I wonder if there are any cruising vessels equivalent to this ship in the US.
You could talk to Meyer Shipyards in Papenburg, Germany. Maybe they can arrange a tour of one of their products, e.g. during a shakedown cruise. After that, you'll have serious trouble finding a bigger ship to tour. ;-) Regarding getting to drive a big ship - you still haven't beaten Dan and Kika. Kika got to steer the flagship of the British navy... ;-)
Years ago, my family took a river cruise in the early spring from Rotterdam to Basel. On our boat, there was a swimming pool on the top deck that was used quite a bit. One day it was pretty cold and raining so my sister and I decided to go swimming since there was no one else in the pool and we could have some fun without annoying anyone else. For some reason one of the French passengers decided to come up to the top deck in the rain and spotted us swimming. He couldn't believe it! He went running downstairs to the lounge and told everyone, "The crazy Canadians are swimming!!!" Half of the boat came up to see if it was really true. I guess they didn't realize that even on a sunny day, you still have to get wet to go swimming.

@@NautiStyles Im, its great 👀🤣
🤣🤪
Thanks for watching! We talk about how we got the boat to ourselves in part 1! 😉😜
Wow, thank you for sharing! Wishing you the best of luck & wishing you good health & energy to come! 🙏🏻⚓️💙

43:11 The Rooms and especially the On Suites could also be on a Super Yacht when you see the Style and the Materials.....
Exactly! You’ve got a great eye! 👀

I think the shiny turquoise dress Looks the best but both of them are excellent
How did I miss that? What time mark?
Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏻⚓️💙
Love these behind the scenes tours!
Glad you enjoyed this one!!
This was absolutely amazing!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!!
This is an amazing yacht from inside to outside; I think that they need to make you guys ambassador for their company. You'll never see any thing like that in America imo.
Thanks for sharing! We had a blast!
Unterhaltsame 102 Minuten! 😊👍
Glad to hear that! danke
Wow so that just about covers it properly thank you very much❤️⚓️❤️⚓️
Happy to help! :)))
I'd like a river cruise. The Volga-Don or the Douro rivers. Or, maybe the St. Lawrence. New sights everyday and you don't have to repack your suitcases everyday.
Definitely on the bucket list !!
Trust us, we Tried everything... this DJI is actually self adjusting, and it could not even figure it out LOL
Cool the in depth tour! Sweet!👍👍
Glad you liked it! See you next weekend!

Thank you! Yess
I have been watching your videos for a long time - this is by far the video that I love - I want to take one of these river cruises one day. Superb job !! I wonder if there are any cruising vessels equivalent to this ship in the US.
Check out American Cruise Lines.
You should! it's worth the flight
13:13 Like the Bridge of USS Voyager 🚀
🙌🙌
Great video tour of the kitchen victoria and rico. I would love couple of days on thst boat 😊
Maybe one day! Bucket list!
Now one thing would have been fun when they installed the popup bar would be put it on a giant lazy Susan so it could rotate 360°
😝🤣🤣
❤ popcorn machine will be on your yatch now, for sure❤
Sooo yummy!!!
Need a popcorn popper for the Bering.
🙈😝🤪
You could talk to Meyer Shipyards in Papenburg, Germany. Maybe they can arrange a tour of one of their products, e.g. during a shakedown cruise. After that, you'll have serious trouble finding a bigger ship to tour. ;-)
Regarding getting to drive a big ship - you still haven't beaten Dan and Kika. Kika got to steer the flagship of the British navy... ;-)
No way!!! That's pretty cool
You say that you couldn't have a real fireplace on a ship. However the RMS Titanic had a fireplace. And that ship never had a fire,
Years ago, my family took a river cruise in the early spring from Rotterdam to Basel.
I think they must of been worried about lightning strike 🤔
How fun !
We had a blast! Definitely a bucket list experience!
Fascinating.
Glad you enjoyed!! 🙏🏼
