Aha! Finmere. Someone, somewhere, said HS2 was going to run in a cutting through here. I found that hard to believe so checked out the plan. To my surprise he, or she, was correct ... the old GCR embankment will become a cutting with the Buckingham Road? rerouted on an overbridge to the north. HS2 throws up many surprises. With that amount of work in hand, it's no wonder nothing much seems to happen here. RIP Finmere and thanks for posting the footage, WN. Edit: Oh righto, at 3:40 I see the new road bridge abutments.
What an amazing vision, to have designed all the steps leading to the end-game. I remember the old GCR overbridges being lifted out in 2021. By that year, they were so corroded that you could see daylight through them. But they had lasted 125 years (and the HS2 design standard is 120 years without major maintenance; build it once and build it right. Amazing to see clearly that HS2 alignment will go under the re-routed main road. Where did we move to at 8:18? Obviously another road re-route...
And this is what the folks of Buckinghamshire wanted, The Travellers will be spending more time in tunnels on the High Speed train then seeing the lovely view of their countryside, Got something to hide Buckinghamshire people??

Just had a look at the flight log, that part of the video is filmed between Mixbury and Fullwell I think.
