There’s something about watching this that’s terribly sad. To quote the Wicked Witch of the West as she melted near the end of The Wizard of Oz, “What a world.....what a world”.
That's so surreal. I was just at the Orlando airport last year, rode that monorail and everything, and seeing it THAT barren is more than just surreal. It's downright eerie.
My hubby and I went through there and back in early 2017 (we’re from Lynnwood, WA; went to WDW for our dream trip); we also remember how busy the place was! Seeing it like this now is so eerie!
Cleaner planes, and probably less maintenance delays for the next year when things go back to normal because airlines have tons of time to get all the time consuming yearly maintenance done on their entire fleet. The usually have lots of planes out of commission for up to a month at a time for routine maintenance, painting, checks, etc. Normally they do all that on a scheduled rotation to make sure they have enough planes operational to cover all their flights. Now they can just service and do everything they need to their whole fleet with no issues. Every plane is going to be squeaky clean, fixed up, and looking brand new once this is over.
@@benjaminburditt134 "Once this is over" That's a big assumption. Things might never get back to the way they were. The airline industry might only see a maximum of 30% of its previous customer base in the future.

They are newlyweds and it's been rough to not be together. She now has a flight booked and can be quarantined together. You've saved the day! :)
The emptiness of the terminals as you entered them reminded me of when I took a flight after 9/11 through DFW. When I traveled through it a day before 9/11 just normal airport activity. When a class I was attending was finished 2 weeks later, and the FAA opened flights again, DFW was a ghost town.
That's so eerie to see the airport and plane so empty, especially with the lights off. I love flying. It lets you see the world from a new perspective. I've seen some interesting mysterious things on the ground from the view of an airplane, especially when flying over Death Valley
Kevin Ball a lot of airlines are filling their passenger cargo bays with commercial cargo which is helping them stay afloat. Because there are so little people flying and so few pieces of luggage, many aircraft are able to take a decent amount of essential cargo like masks and respirators to various locations which not only helps cover some of the fuel cost but also helps to distribute medical supplies. Some international airlines are even filling the passenger cabins with cargo on the seats and in the overhead bins.

They're not making money, but if they don't make X number of flights from that terminal, a competitor could come along to take over. I'll have to find the wording of the airport/airline agreement, but that's the gist.
@@duzer283 yes and no. If a location is not a hub and they dont keep a certain number of flights in and put daily, with american, they can outsource the work to contractors. I work for them here in atlanta. Right now, that is null and vo9d due to the current.....situation so to speak.

They didn't lose much as a former British Airways employee passengers is 30% of their business. 70% is what the plane carries. Every plane carriers mail and cargo. That how the airlines make money. Whether is any company mail or diamonds and I've seen numerous time the airlines transport Ferrari's it's very impressive and shocking.
You could move pretty much anywhere after the cabin door is closed. I used to take Jet Blue flights to LAX, and they said please don't play musical chairs until the plane is at cruising altitude and the seat belt sign was off. (people did it anyway) Usually the plane wasn't full. The good old A320.

I've traveled for work many times and I know this sounds weird to many but I get a warm fuzzy feeling flying into los Angeles everytime. I guess its just being happy to be home. Often times I get to see Disneyland fireworks being set off as we fly bye. It's the best. Welcome home buddy!
Same . Seeing the city come into view is an awesome site
There’s something about watching this that’s terribly sad. To quote the Wicked Witch of the West as she melted near the end of The Wizard of Oz, “What a world.....what a world”.
An almost empty plane would be a treat for me, lol.
Ikr
That's so surreal. I was just at the Orlando airport last year, rode that monorail and everything, and seeing it THAT barren is more than just surreal. It's downright eerie.
Me too.went last year
My hubby and I went through there and back in early 2017 (we’re from Lynnwood, WA; went to WDW for our dream trip); we also remember how busy the place was! Seeing it like this now is so eerie!
that must be the cleanest plane ever.
If something good comes out of this, airplanes might be cleaner than ever. food for thought.
GoGoGadgetBasketballBand they need to install a HEPA system in ALL commercial flights 😏
GoGoGadgetBasketballBand , every plane now has that new car smell
It may 'look' clean. But whether or not the seats are sterilized/sanitized, etc. Is a different matter.
When Disney World opens back up, you all stay home so I can have the park to myself.
Johnny Moran dream on
@@spiker039 I think attendance will be noticibly down. I'm planning on going opening week to test my theory, and I'm sure Adam and the rest of the Disney vloggers will too..
truth... if they are open soon then buy me airline ticket to go there LOL
Can’t wait to go back to Universal ! 🙏🏽😃
They will never open again. Sorry. 😢
Stay safe, Adam! God Bless! Fla misses you!
Welcome home Adam. Good to have you back.🙏
Glad you made it back to LA safely. Thanks for taking us along. Stay Safe!
That was bold Adam I hope you are self quarantining for the next 2 weeks.
Or longer
yollam I know I’m a terrible person expecting fellow humans to be responsible.
😎 you rock so much for documenting this!
Home sweet home. Welcome back, Adam. I think that "rock" you saw was Kennecott/Rio Pinto copper mines. I live
too close to this place. If I were younger I'd get out of dodge. You know I swear I've read a book about the isolation of towns and hiding people. Desperation by Stephen King? 🤔 Any ideas, friends? Loved the flight. So glad you're back! Whew.
Great job! It's a wonderful thing to see what's going on out there. Glad your'e back.
Thanks Adam for posting this. I was able to show my son, who is in the Navy, and daughter-in-law that it was possible for her to fly to him instead of staying separated.
Nate Kornoff 1st day of flights between Canada and the US after 9/11 I flew from Toronto to Pittsburgh. There were 3 passengers on the plane.
That plane actually looked super clean!
Love that airport, been through it many times. I’ve never seen it that dead. Kinda sad in a way.
So eerie to be traveling. Surreal. Glad you made it back home safely.
Surreal. Thanks for documenting your flight, Adam!
That's so eerie to see the airport and plane so empty, especially with the lights off. I love flying. It lets you see the world from a new perspective. I've seen some interesting mysterious things on the ground from the view of an airplane, especially when flying over Death Valley
This is like watching a dead airport documentary
I don’t know how they can afford to keep the planes flying.
They don’t. They have to keep flying regardless the significant losses. “Essential industry”
Not too mention that those flights are slowly rising in prices !
Kevin Ball, the Fed deemed airlines “essential” because medical personnel are moving around
@Jesus Greenblatt Thank Geitner for that
Good video, Very strange to see the airports and flight so empty, but I am glad you made it home safely. Best place to hunker down for this is at home. I think you made the right decision. Stay safe and stay healthy, and thank you so much for keeping the interesting content coming, for all of us who are having to stay home.
Cheers from Atlanta.
Glad you made it safely. Welcome back Adam. I hope your parents are doing well.
Inside of those airports looks like they’re ready to film an apocalypse movie.
that's what it is, all the worlds a stage. the plandimic is fully operational

Martial Law coming
Doomsday...
Lockdown the United States
For the 😷 Flu...🤔🧟♀️💀
Crazy seeing the plane that empty. Stay safe adam
Thank you for being smart and promoting safe behavior. It's people like you that are going to help many skeptics in this battle learn to take this seriously. Good luck and stay safe and may the force be with you always
I Appreciate the kind words
Being smart and promoting safe behavior would have been staying where he was at and staying inside. Him doing this was anything but.
@@madmax2069 he's doing his best dude don't be critical
IM glad you made it home safe!
I absolutely love your videos! I hope to document my travel experiences in this spirit one day.
Youre channel is one of the channels ive found that has inspired me to create videos.
It was so eerie seeing the airports that empty. Ive flown to and from Orlando times and each time it was crazy busy and swimming with life. For sure a sign of the times.
Keep up the awesomeness that is you and your channel! Stay safe and cant wait to see the next adventure!
I’m glad you finally made it home, Adam. Home is a good place to be. Thanks for sharing your journey. Take care. 👍🏼🤘🏼😎
Even Santa needed to find an off season job. Crazy times.
I thought that was the dude from ZZ Top. 😊
dougconley Maybe they are one and the same. I mean have you ever seen a picture of the standing together.?
Hollyweeds - u made me lol!!!!
@@lilorbielilorbie2496 hmmmm..🤔
I would have sat in first class if nobody was sitting there.
Probably couldn’t because of weight balance
@@jacoblong3541 yeah
That is so weird to see an airport that empty, I can’t imagine them making any money off this flight
With their bailout Their going to make a lot of money
Nope.
@@rrrobeltnest7295 the money has already been made.....until September that is. TRUST ME, we are still losing money but, if this pans out by September, we should be ok. If not...THEN the furloughs and layoffs start. The money that they recieved from the bailout is just to maintain the airlines....all of the US ones anyway, so that they dont have to file for bankruptcy
Adam, as a Mom, I am glad my 3 grown kids are nearby. Shocking to see the airport situation. Take good care ❤
Thanks Adam!!! Glad your safely home. Woo the Man
So that is what Santa does on his off season time, he directs planes..
I KNOW HIM.
ZZ Top guy 😂
Omg that's what we thought! Lol!!!
Considering he drives a sleigh, I'd think this is the perfect line of work in the off-season!
Hey, I mean he's the ultimate pilot on the day it matters most.
Thank you for your service pilots, flight attendants, airport crew, nurses, doctors, grocery workers, truck drivers, anyone currently working out there during these times. Stay safe yall.
I would've gone to first class.
@Ho Ho Ho i know i did try it once. It was before 911. It was empty. I acted like i belonged there.(i dont mean i argued .. just sat down .. of course they came over told me to move. I said but its empty here and im stressed flying no move back oh well it was worth a try
My son an i just flew from Cincinnati to Savannah ga today.
They let us both sit up in first class. It was so nice to have the leg room .
Hope they let us on the way back too
Be safe in your travels. Prayers are with you and your family in your travels as well.
Being close end, and seeing you out there doing your thing feels good. Freedom should never be taken for granted. Its looks so different!! Its is different! Omg! 2020 i can see clearly now! Stay safe Adam 🥰🙋🏾♀️🌷
Wow this is nuts!
Really puts things in perspective
I was in Orlando’s airport in February and it was very crowded
Now not so much
Sweet! Something new to watch 👍🏻
May the force be with you, always
Welcome back Adam! Easter is coming and spring is in full bloom and the BEST TIME to be in So California!!!
It was nice having you in Florida gave me the inspiration for going out on walks hope you made me it back home safe
I would’ve moved up to first class tbh.
Glad you’re home safe ☺️
They didn't lose much as a former British Airways employee passengers is 30% of their business. 70% is what the plane carries. Every plane carriers mail and cargo. That how the airlines make money. Whether is any company mail or diamonds and I've seen numerous time the airlines transport Ferrari's it's very impressive and shocking.
In this virus, even when the planes may be empty, with my luck I'd STILL wind up in a bloody CENTER SEAT!!!
Kjiersten Bartlett 😂
You could move pretty much anywhere after the cabin door is closed. I used to take Jet Blue flights to LAX, and they said please don't play musical chairs
until the plane is at cruising altitude and the seat belt sign was off. (people did it anyway) Usually the plane wasn't full. The good old A320.
@@iworkout6912, I was being a bit sardonic here. I seriously my luck ... anytime I've ever flown in recent past, I
always got (stuffed (relegated) vto the center seat ... and usually with a preteen with a mean, divilish look on his face kicking my seatback and a screaming baby in front of me ;-S RILLY!! JUST MY LUCK!! ;-)
@@kjierstenbartlett4866 Also the worst is seeing a very large person coming down the aisle and hoping that they aren't sitting in the empty seat next to you.
Then when the person moves beyond your seat, you finally relax.
AYaahh. ;-)
BEST time to fly, Fare cheap and nobody on the Planes!!!
I haven't been to The Woo in a very long time! Boy am I glad I came back! Been going thru a rough time with health issues and I guess with the whole virus issue.....and Adam just made me feel SO relaxed and good! I even lol'd!! I realized, pretty quickly, that I've missed him BIG!
I’m glad your back safe at home my friend. Be careful and scrub off all those plane germs when you get home..🙏❤️🇺🇸
10:30 It’s called a static discharger.
As the aircraft accumulates static electricity, it bleeds it off.
N over accumulation of static electricity will result in radio interference.
Be careful Brother and God Bless You
Glad you made it safe back to Los Angeles it's crazy to see Los Angeles International Airport that apocalyptic empty looking
The Westfalia Chronicles seriously. I have been there during 2/3am and even then there’s still much more people walking around. This is so surreal
I really enjoyed this blog it gives us a real in-depth look about the airlines I knew there was not as much traffic but gracious I did not know it was almost none. Leave it to you Adam to do it up right I’m so glad you were on the move again I have always adored your videos.
