So are correct, when learning like I am, I watch so many videos and it seems like everyone uses different recipes and products so it's so hard to know what works. Beautiful art today.
I appreciate this video because i kind of stepped back from fluid art pours became overwhelmed trying to figure out ratios and methods. Plus i wasn't getting the results others were being displayed.
What I really need is a recipe to conjure my favorite artist to magically appear in my pool... 😍 you are a wonderful teacher, but a better Baby Sister and I miss you terribly 🤗😘
I've been wanting to do this for about 5 years. I just couldn't justify spending the money just to make a mess. I'm binging your videos and making a list of supplies and ordering it tonight. Will print out the consistency paper as well. Thank you for giving me the confidence to do this!
Absolutely! However it has been my experience that the cells and lacing pattern aren't exactly the same but it does work and does look nice just a bit different ❤
Different is Always better. I love your videos and your tutorials. Keep creating and inspiring ppl like me who also suffer from health issues. Good luck at your shows.
HI tammy, I love all your pours and also how you are teaching alternate ways of saving money I always give you the thumbs up as are worth it. My pours are still not working my poor husband washes and scrubs all my ugly pours but hopefully eventually I'll get there but 'll l enjoy to continue to you watch you.thanks Lynette
Hi Tammy! I am making some tile coasters. Would you mind sharing with me what you back them with. A picture would be very helpful! I have been following you for a very long time. I have seen you bloom & grow! I believe you are the BEST teacher on RUclips! You are so kind, non- judgemental, encouraging, super generous, dedicated & positive!++ Just want you to know these truths as you deserve to hear them! Thank you Tammy...Jenelle
Yes love. I can't share a picture here but I can share a link that you can click on to see. I use these but I add e6000 glue to the back of the coaster first because I don't feel the adhesive on these are strong enough amzn.to/3PfvAbK
Fantastic job of breaking down this technique‼ I think sometimes people don't realize house paint is acrylic paint with slightly different binders. So artist acrylic paint and house paint like each other! ❣❣
Hi Tammy, thank you so much for this video, I was watching literally hundreds of videos and became so confused at the many different products etc. Now I can't wait to get started again, and feel more confident after watching this video
Tammy, you’re an inspiration! I’ve just bought all my wood tiles and sticky-backed cork tiles with which to make sets of coasters for Christmas for family and friends. So many options to make! Thank you 😃🙌
MS. Tammy I have learned so much from you. Maybe kindred spirits but can't tell you enough how pleased I am having you as the leader, teacher, councler in this journey and adventure I'm on! Thank You, truly. Carol D
Listen to Tammy!! Great advice. I was just at a day long street art fest with hundreds of artist and several thousand people. Every year the artist that bring medium to large size canvas always takes them back home. They are too big to walk through huge crowds of people and way to expensive. Tammy those coasters turned out amazing.
You just saved me a ton of money & I’m on a very small fixed income but love acrylic pouring. Thank you soooo much! Instant fan & I definitely hit subscribe!
Thank you Tammy I am new to paint pouring and you have clear up something I had been trying to find info on and that was the use of fluid paint pigments. I was given a box of 26 for a gift. ❤❤
I LOVE THIS RECIPE!!!!! Thank you for sharing. I used it today and tried a bloom by adding a CA and the bloom turned out absolutely beautiful. Thank you for doing all the educational videos that you do. ❤
I love the idea of 1 recipe for most things. I am going to take your suggestion of mixing a batch medium. So the bloom works without using house paint base?
Absolutely works! I actually did a few videos about it a while back called no pillow paint blooms❤ People use the White House paint because thats how shelly art taught the technique and you get a big gallon of it for 20 bucks, and it cuts down mixing up your own white so It's just easier, but if you don't wanna have to buy that product and just use your pouring medium this absolutely works 1000%.❤
Hi Tammy, I am a beginner, with art. You make all these projects look simple. I really love watching and learning from you. I know I could do this but time is not on my side. Your art is very amazing and I truly want to start. I know I sound confusing mostly why is that I work full time on graveyard shift. I will take any helpful advice from you and others.
Hello, I was so happy when I saw this, I just got done buying some house pant and some flowtrol (spelling arg). Now I know to get the varnish wahoo:) also some colors.
These pieces are all stunning! I have a few questions. For a bloom do we still need a pillow of straight house paint? Also, most pouring mediums dry clear. Will this affect the colors of your paints?
Ty my friend. So you do not need a straight white house paint. In this video I mixed my white and black with that one pouring medium I made. Also the colors dry normal as this stuff also drys clear.
Thank you Tammy for the new recipe. I just want to know what color Ovation paint should I use.? There are so many whites I don't know what to choose. Also, I was told by the Sherwin Williams store that this Sherwin Williams Ovation Plus Base C is an exclusive product of Lowes.
I like the idea of using just those 2 ingredients rather than all the other stuff I have on my shelves. Tammy I couldn’t find the recipe in the description so I went back to the video and didn’t see ratios either. When you have a chance, could you please add it to the description? Thanks ❤.
Thank you Tammy. I think I will use up the various mediums that I have purchased but find myself so confused by what is out there. This recipe seems straightforward. I know that you have it somewhere in your tutorial list. I just need to figure out the formula that gives a guideline for how much product per size of canvas (or coasters). Your channel is so informative.
Hi Tammy and AMAZING Teacher! This tutorial is so fun and relaxing to watch. I hope your artfair goes fabulous. I have not tried the untinted house paint at all, but this seems like so much fun to play with. I read the comments and someone had asked about the glow in the dark pigments vs. the paints. Could you pour your Amsterdam, Artist Loft or whatever paint you use and let it dry, then in your first coat of resin add some of the glow powders, let that coat dry and then do a second coat of resin? I have the glow powders and not the glow paints. The reason for asking is I noticed you said you felt the glow powders worked best with resin. Curious??? 🥰
These are beautiful and this video is so very helpful. I just poured my first few skins 2-3 day ago so I can incorporate them into resin jewelry. What do you use to adhere to bezels and how long before they can be resined after? Also, what do you do/use to prepare your tiles and how long before you can pour on them?
So Interference Colors look like they are white but when applied on top of a color they look like a metallic color that shimmers that you see when looking at the painting from different views. You can also add them to a paint color . For example if you have blue and you add some Interference green to it, when you look at that painting you will see blue from one direction and then metallic green from another direction. They are really cool. Colourarte sells them and they are called Bling It Interference pigments
Watching you create the coasters was mesmerizing! I don't understand why the white paint in the pouring medium doesn't lighten the color of the paints. Am I misunderstanding something? Thanks for this video.I
Hello beautiful. So there is no white paint in the pouring medium. The first two products I combined were a clear untainted base and the varnish. I then used that to make all of my colors. I did make white as one of my colors so maybe thats where you got confused but the actual pouring medium itself has no color in it❤
Just want to let you know I have been using your teachings and haven’t steered me wrong yet. I must try this recipe. ❤. Only question I have is can we mix the micas with this too?
Tammy, thank you so much for all of the support you provide day in and day out. 400 coaster?!? You’re a machine lol. May I ask how much you sell a set of 4 coasters for? If that’s personal, I apologize.
Typically for a normal set of Coasters I charge $30. If they are some fancy hand painted Coasters that I put alot of time into then I would charge more but it would depend on how much work I put into them. Just pouring paint however $30 for 4 pack. ❤
Yay! I love those powders. For this video I only tested the glow paint and not the powders. I'll have to experiment to find out that answer. I typically don't use the powders in acrylic pouring unless it's to enhance the painting after it's dry or I sprinkle them in areas on top of the wet paint. I feel those are best used in resin. The glow paints however work for acrylic pouring so if it's the liquid paint you bought and now the powder form then yes it will work❤
Thank you so much for these videos!!!! I do have a question regarding ceramic tiles. Wouldn’t you need to lightly sand the top so the paint doesn’t peel off?
Ty love. Yes sometimes that happens on the first coat. The sides are so thin and we touch them with our bare skin so I'm sure the oil from our skin affects the resin as well but I always do 2 coats so it fixes itself when I do that.
I’m considering selling items soon and was wondering how you know how to price your items? This is one thing that seems to stop me from selling. Great video! And 400 coasters! 😱😬👏🏼👏🏼
Then you will have to stick to whatever your currently working with. This only works if you use these 3 products. You can try to experiment and mix it with a different pouring medium or whatever you have but the effect won't look like they did in here. You never know you may stumble onto the next great recipe by experimenting.❤
I'm so sorry Tammy, So I don't need the Aussie Flo? Just if I want cells correct? The 3rd ing. is paint? I'm so sorry. Thank you so very much Tammy. I'm very tired and have been at it all day and It's late and I've had a few tasty bevs.. Thank you again.. I love you and what you do!!!

Absolutely! However it has been my experience that the cells and lacing pattern aren't exactly the same but it does work and does look nice just a bit different ❤
Wow...yes. that different style of Dutch Pour is gorgeous!
I just love ALL YOUR COASTERS SHOWN HERE THOUGH. 🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍

I'm addicted. I don't want rehab. Lol ❤
Tammy what are interference paints? I'm watching you in preparation of the day I try acrylic pour painting and really learning a lot.

No love❤ I tape off the backs first.😊

Do you have to use Australian flotel
No, you don't have to use it, but if you use American, the look maybe slightly different.❤
Make sure you update us regarding how well the craft fair went! ❤
Omg. All so beautiful! Where do you purchase your tiles?
Ty love ❤ home depot. I buy a case for 20 bucks. They are just average 4x4 ceramic tiles.
Thank you so much for these videos!!!! I do have a question regarding ceramic tiles. Wouldn’t you need to lightly sand the top so the paint doesn’t peel off?
Good luck next week! I’m at a festival too. Do you have trouble with the resin not staying on the sides of your coasters? I’ve had that trouble.
Tammy, how do you finish the backs of your coasters?
Hi Tammy how about if we cannot get Australian floetrol and Jo Sonja
Then you will have to stick to whatever your currently working with. This only works if you use these 3 products. You can try to experiment and mix it with a different pouring medium or whatever you have but the effect won't look like they did in here. Tammy. Can you use poly acrylic in place of Josonja?
How long do you leave the tiles to dry before you put a varnish or resin before you can sell them?
What do you do to your coasters after the paint to seal them and get ready to use?
Is cell activator something else besides the flotrol or is that the same thing?
