Not playing at this level now but I don't think there will be a better DJ to grace the decks.
Eddie was a legend back in the day, Knew him pereonally but the guy never quite made it!

Maybe because he didn't produce if you are looking at it that way comparing him to Armin or pvd. but as actual DJ nobody was in his league at all the guy is an absolute legend.

Saw Eddie a couple of times, not as often as I would have liked. Back in the day nobody got a crowd going like Eddie did, crowd had mad love for him. Don't make djs like this anymore

I remember i played bosh cd for a dj friemd who can kinda scratch, he said theres no way eddie is scratching on actual turntables. While true he uses cdjs a lot, he can defininitely scrach on vinyl.
As a professional turntablist i will say he isnt all that cuts wise i know dudes who make him look slow 😜 and what he is doing is pretty basic its just chirps and baby scratches BUT for the genre he owned it and house beats aint the best genre for scratching too

Never seen the point in scratching but it is a skill
Dude at this level its just cuts but scratching is deep i have albums where its full tunes made completely from scratching it can be every instrument from a drums to vocals basslines leads . Check out albums by Qbert or D Styles , also this type of music is incredibly psychedelic when your tripping
