Good setup if you dont mind the noise, video doesnt do it justice, its LOUD. Swapped back to fujitsubo muffler after this. Great setup if you dont have a sound limit. Shifts sound explosive, cold starts will alert your entire neighborhood.

Was my first car, had coilovers with headers and an lsd and that thing never made me frown. Got to drive a built one years after i sold mine and i legit cried a little, dont sell it you’ll regret it.
This car feels like an extension of my body, selling it was never an option. :)

There is a silencer insert for the MegaPower R that will tone it down, but they even say in their description that noise reduction was not a concern for the MegaPower R, only power. My preferred method of taming the decibel level without loosing the nice aggressive tone or impeding exhaust flow was to change out the resonator for a vibrant muffler. I ran that “custom” version of the MegaPower R with a PLM Power Driven header on my RSX-S (K20A2) and it sounded beautiful. Very racy and aggressive but not overly loud. I would imagine it would sound just as good on an A3 engine in an EP3 and might even be a hint quieter being that and A3 doesn’t scream as much as an A2.
I never even considered the silencer as an option because why buy a high-flow exhaust just to suffocate it. I only bought this system to pair the 70mm mid-pipe with my fujitsubo muffler but ran the skunk2 muffler just for fun. But it was undailyable where I live albeit it sounding like the Js maou s2000 when i bang through the gears. The tone and bearability was much improved when i paired it with the fujitsubo. I did end up getting a silencer for that combination but the built up back pressure caused my motor to knock so i ended up having to remove it. Im also running PLM headers but paired with the k20a :)

With the PLM headers on an EP3, did you have to use a type S or R exhaust in order to fit it? Cause in the PLM website they say you need to run a type S or R exhaust for the headers to fit correctly. Thanks.
Japanese guy is driving left hand drive Honda Civic Type-R. Not a common combination though.

@@meh...4966 thanks bro rlly appreciate it 🫵🙏🙏 Im currently on extend r dmp coilovers its a machperson strut design as per factory i think only the btcc racecars have been redone in doublewishbone which costs like a bajillion dollars. Pretty happy with my coilovers they punch way above their price point in my opinion they are a smaller company based in taiwan but their specs are good that they are usable for track and street. And have competed in major races i.e. macau etc. Power wise I’ve never dynod it but my butt dyno says around 230-240 whp.
