I think they just didn't know the attack hit the ketchup bottle, so from their perspective it looks like he has more than 9999999999 HP to be able to survive the attack.

@@robertoxlnubillux8964 Well, in canon, it *seems* to be that the hp of a monster is affected by their mood. Which means that someone like Sans who is (this is a fanon thing) is apparently depressed, would have very low hp. Even though Sans canonically sleeps a lot, his hp at the end of the genocide run is still just 1.
@@Paperbunny3 but we dont know how the mood could exactly affect his hp, like its like kr that slowly goes down, or it takes hp when your more sad than the usual, also hes sad but defenetly not depressed, and didnt he fought us due to desperation? Idk if that will affect his hp for good or bad tho

2:25 My personal headcanon for why Swap's words are weighing on Sans so much is because Swap is a Sans with a Papyrus personality and mindset, so Sans is seeing the parallels between Papyrus and Swap, and even if it's unconsciously he's imagining Papyrus in Swap's place. This makes Swap saying he can't believe in someone so serious because Papyrus - and by extension Swap - are known for seeing the best in everyone. Papyrus and Swap believe in you even as you kill them, so Swap saying he can't believe in X!Chara hits *really* hard.

Ok, so, or he has seen the xgaster on the video, or he appeared there just when i blinked OR (and this is what i think that happened) that sans that we always see in this channel got throught the disbelief timeline, and after dying became an spirit and saw papyrus fight, thats why blue's words "i cant believe in you" hurt him, because maybe the things after dead cant be remembered that well by sans (or he cant remember timelines OR only can remember normal resets and cant remember erases nor true resets, but he still feels it)
