I think the issue is with the assumption that its a 'hobby' and not serious entrepreneurship. Most women, when they enter conventionally male dominated fields, often express about not taken seriously and being dismissed in big and little ways. One such way is to belittle someone's hardwork as a 'hobby'. Thats different from other types of constructive criticism and feedback.
