  • Al Spoler visits JJ Bison in Northern Baltimore County for The Local Buy. Al talks to Gene Maddox, the owner of JJ Bison, to learn more about the historic and iconic buffalo. The herd at this farm is free-range and on a hormone free diet. The herd is rotated through seven paddocks over 26 acres, so they have plenty of grass to feed on. Al helps Gene feed the buffalo. Then Al heads to Cafe Mezzanotte, a restaurant that JJ Bison supplies with bison rib-eye. Al then tries one of these delicious bison rib-eyes.

Does anyone know if bison have the same problem as cows when it comes to emitting methane?
