Living full-time in my rolling tiny home has been the best decision of my life. Off-Grid living offers a peace and connection to life that you just can't explain. When i first started van life i build a stealth camper van with the mindset the you had to live a stealth van life and i soon discovered that you can just live the city van life and boondock in the countryside and as long as you are respectful of the backcountry and cities you live in. i’m from mackenzie bc! it was wonderful to see someone notice our tiny town haha. i loved that campground when i was little and how big williston lake is! bijoux (bee- shoe) falls is gorgeous as well as the seven sister mountains and azouetta lake! my town is small because of the forestry industry collapsing but the views are breathtaking up on top of the mountain. i love my little town and i’m glad to see it has been noticed🤗 safe travels!

Oh how I love the rain Chrome! So Happy I found your channel last year. With the pandemic I've had to put my van search on hold. But I'm the eternal optimist. Down here the states we were on lockdown for three months. Now things were opening up. Having some new cases so some states are locking down again. We must adapt. Yes, and no reservations so if you took Friday off, you would get a choice campsite.
Chrome, you be you and we'll all still be watching. However, if it was me going on the Northern upper edge of Canada, I'd be going slow and camping at every site I could find. Your just now getting into where the real wildlife live and real life begins. If I sound jealous it's only because I am.

I also live in lower mainland. I did live up there in the mid 70's (Hudson's Hope). If you bail on going further north, you may want to see something epic while in the area. Consider going northwest from Chetwynd to see the two big dams in Hudson's Hope (WAC Bennett Dam is epic). Then you could see Site C construction, a massive construction undertaking (only realized in person) in Fort St. John (fairly big city) before heading back to Dawson Creek to come homeward bound...

New wheels really make the white van look nicer. Peace and tranquility is great, but without cellular service and hours from any kind of help might be too risky and stressful to enjoy.

I am from Mackenzie BC. You missed Morfee Mountain and Morfee lake. The mountains are spectacular, and the lake is located in town and is beyond beautiful! Did you drink the water there? Glacier fed, the best anywhere!

You've probably already made up your mind, however since you're at dawson and probably heading to Fort st John, go West the Alaska Highway, you'll see Bison and a ton of wildlife, get to Liard Hot springs the travel there is beautiful (did it a few years ago) , then head up to Whitehorse . On your way back down south go thru the Meziadan Junction, which will lead back to Highway 16 then you can go West to the Coast (Rupert) or go East back toward Prince George, Lots and lots of beautiful scenary , once you get to about "houston" and going east from there the terrain is meh typical... but from Smithers & west of is Mountains, waterfalls and tons of camping and adventures.
@@annekramer6740 it's very spotty up there I found, and free wifi is non existent until you get to Whitehorse, everything else is 'paid internet' though again last time I went up was about 2 years ago, I know in my area they've recently put in free wifi at the rest area and boosted cell service ( between smithers and terrace on Hwy 16 ).

There is a free campground north of Penticton. It is terraced down the mountain to the lake. 14 day limit. really nice.
