He said that his researcher, some woman's name I can't recall right now, said that FSU Louisville would be the first time They played a currently ranked CFP football team. Which is categorically untrue and he had the list of the top 25 staring him in the face. If Florida State beats Louisville That makes three, currently ranked CFP ranked teams they have beaten. Now perhaps he misspoke and meant to say that Florida State would be the first team currently ranked in the CFP that Louisville has played. That is correct. Did anybody else catch that?
Bruh, Texas could get beat Saturday and Washington could remove Oregon completely from the conversation. Florida state could knock themselves out vs Louisville this week. I think the committee knows really what we all know, they just don’t wanna say it.
Feel bad for all the good teams that aren’t going to make it wished top eight made it so nobody gets left out would be amazing 1 plays 8 and go from there
People taking about strength schedule but not factoring how the team is winning. It is obvious that the committee has Oregon as the top 1 loss team because since they lost to WA, they have been consistently blowing out teams. The smallest pts dif was a 9 pt win against USC and the game was basically a sleep walk in the 2nd qt. The committee is placing high emphasis on the “eye test”.
That's what I keep trying to tell these Texas fans. They keep crying about not being above Oregon, and bringing up the Texas Tech game that happened 11 friggin weeks ago. I'm not even an Oregon fan, I just go through the comments and add my input because I love college football. A lot of these people commenting don't even watch college football, they watch their favorite teams and maybe some other teams in their conference and that's it. That's why they have such narrow minded opinions on all these teams. For example, that USC game wasn't even as close as the final score indicates. Oregon was up by 21 points in the 4th quarter, that game was never in doubt. The eye test is very important but people keep overlooking it.
@@stndpenguin Michigan's ranked #2, so it reinforces the "eye test" since they, too, dominated teams they were supposed to...we'll see just how good Oregon is this Friday night when they take on undefeated Washington who hold the nation's second longest winning streak...going to be an EPIC rematch...
no, you don;t punish a team for a injury. If they win without the starting QB that shows they are good. I don't think they can hang with Georgia or MIchigan but a one lose team shouldn't jump them
I'm sorry buddy but like you said, Florida State wouldn't hang with Georgia or Michigan and Ohio State had to play in MICHIGAN'S building and lost by only 6 points! If Florida State played in Michigan's stadium right now, the game wouldn't be close. Both Ohio State and Oregon are better than Florida State and would beat them head-to-head. There's just times where you got to realize that if you KNOW that team is better, then you got to put them ahead. If we want to put certain teams ahead just because of not losing a game, then Liberty (12-0) would be in CTP contention.
Michigan went 6-0 in games without their head coach this season. With all due respect, Georgia and Alabama wouldn’t have been able to do that. Michigan has the best win of the season. The rankings are better than the last week. I don't get Missouri at #9, though. Teams should be ranked by who you beat, not by who you lost to. PSU, Ole Miss, and OU all have better wins than Missouri. They're still a great team but they should be #13 behind LSU

I’m ok with Michigan being 2nd. If Oregon can beat Washington this weekend and FSU wins, then Michigan should they beat Iowa, will play FSU in the semifinal. Which is a more favorable matchup considering they are without Jordan Travis. Let Georgia play Oregon lol.
FSU should go to 3 in the scenario. 3 ranked wins in CFP top 25 undefeated and ACC title LSU - neutral site Louisville Neutral site for ACC title Clemson - in Death Valley
Idc who the team is, if a 1 or 2 loss team is above an undefeated team, I am done with college football. It shouldn't happen, no matter if it's Michigan, Bama, Georgia. Idc, most fans that aren't delusional think the same way. If my team had one loss and jumped an undefeated team, I wouldn't be happy about it. Sure you can make arguments based on speculation all you want, but facts are facts, undefeated until proven otherwise, is still unbeaten. You can say Bama or Texas would destroy FSU, maybe so, but until it happens, then FSU is better based on record which is how rankings go. This is college football and any team in the top 25 can beat any other team in the top 25, that's why we watch, to cheer for the under dog and to see the mighty fall in an upset. There should be clear tie breakers set, head to head, like opponents, opponents records, conference records, points differential.
There's no scenario where Ohio State gets back in. They lost their division and there would be 5 teams who won their division even if all the top 4 lose as well as Texas.
Lost their division lol. 11-1 with the best loss and #1 SOS. Only top team not playing in conference title, not because it's their fault, but because the BIG10 created stupid divisions to prevent the 2 best teams from playing.

Disclaimer: I'm a huge Oregon fan, and cannot stand either OSU or Mich. That said, OSU falling to 6 is an absolute disgrace! They nearly beat Mich on the road. If the game was at OSU, OSU would have won. Probably by 1 score. The other disgrace is FSU still at #4, now without their QB that got them there in the first place. They got lucky vs Florida. This is what the CFP rankings should be. 1. Georgia 2. Michigan 3. Washington(until they lose to Oregon Friday) 4. OSU. And this is what the final CFP rankings should be. 1. Georgia 2. Michigan 3. Oregon. 4. OSU. Oregon will play Georgia in the title game.
id find it hard to believe that alabama wouldnt get the nod if they beat georgia. i could see both bama and georgia making it in, in that situation with fsu being snubbed even if they win.
Fam we moved down 4 spots and need 3 miracles to make the CFP, relax. Mind you we lost to arguably the best team in the nation by 6 on the road, 6 is an accurate spot.
its crazy how Ohio State definitely gets the most double standards in terms of discussing how good they are. getting called soft and overrated in the first three weeks of the season, majority of people saying Notre Dame would win against them in a blowout fashion. Ohio State beats Notre Dame, everyone talking about how Ohio State "only won by 3" or "almost lost", the same people that said Ohio State would lose to Notre Dame. now seeing Notre Dame fall to 3 losses, Ohio State is being back to being called overrated, saying how Penn State's defense will shut down Ohio State's offense and that Penn State would expose the defense. Ohio State beats Penn State in dominating fashion on both sides of the ball. now everyone talks about how "Penn State is overrated," "they were never good," etc. Ohio State then loses a close game to a very complete Michigan team and now all of the sudden the wins that Ohio State got don't matter anymore. Ohio State's resume is still really good, people just don't see it because of their bias towards Ohio State. im not saying Ohio State is the best team by any means, i just feel like everyone should put more respect to their name instead of calling them overrated when in actuality they are just fine in the rankings.
I agree completely, except Ohio State should be the highest ranked 1-loss team. OREGON hasn't beaten anyone YET, and their loss is to the #3 team. Ohio State's loss is to the #2 team on the road by 6 points that came down to the last play of the game. I think Oregon will beat Washington this week though so they'll be in. If we get a FSU loss and a Washington loss the Buckeyes will be in unless Bama wins.
I think it's the same reason why everyone hates bama, they're sick of them because they have a good team every year. I keep seeing complaints about them getting in last year. Those same haters don't want to acknowledge that OSU was a shanked kick in the final seconds away from going on to play TCU and probably winning
Just wait until Saturday and watch number 1 fall to them. Bama has never lost in that stadium and Auburn also almost beat GA. It is very difficult to play in that stadium and they could be a 9 loss team and still play Bama like the Super Bowl champs.
This committee obviously doesn’t understand college football and obviously is Ohio st fans. Texas and Alabama should be ranked higher than Oregon and Ohio st. , both teams would even lose to mizzo
Im a Bama lifer, if FSU stays undefeated they deserve a spot. Idc if there entire offense is hurt! The rest of the team earned an undefeated season!! If they dont earn that spot by being undefeated in a power 5 conference then whats the point of a regular season.
The playoff selection committee has proven time and again that they’re not very creative, and are only considering the fact that 4 teams are currently undefeated, so those teams must in fact be the 4 best since they haven’t lost. A group of elementary students could derive at that same conclusion. When Clemson missed a 29 yard field goal at the end of regulation to beat FSU, it proved to be costly for any of the one loss teams that are obviously better.
The biggest question is Georgia vs Alabama. Look at what happened to Ohio State. They were #2 and lost by 6 points to #3 Michigan, and that brought them down four spots to #6. If Georgia loses to #8 Alabama, Alabama should move to #4 and Georgia would drop to #5. 1. Michigan (Wins Against Iowa) 2. Washington (Wins against Oregon) 3. FSU (Wins against Louisville) 4. Alabama (Beats #1 Georgia) 5. Georgia 6. Texas 7. Ohio State 8. Oregon
It would be a repeat of last year. Either Michigan wins a close game with Washington or Alabama blows out Washington. Either way, the committee sucks because in no way is FSU better than either Georgia or Alabama with or without their quarterback.
I think there's a bit of a wild card in Texas. The fact that Texas is still ranked ahead of Alabama means that the committee rates Texas's head-to-head over Bama. With that in mind, and the fact that Texas is playing a ranked opponent in Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship Game, a Texas win in this scenario opens some debate over that 4th spot. It would be a matter of whether Bama's win over Georgia would be enough to overcome Texas's head-to-head advantage plus a ranked win in the Big 12 champions game.
How is Ohio State ahead of Texas? If Texas win Big 12 and Florida state loses how can Ohio st possibly get that last spot in the playoff over Texas? The committee is clearly big 10 fan boys. Ohio state only beat 1 top 5 team in the past 4 years, they’re overrated

DO NOT SAY that Florida State is “taken care of”. Louisville is balanced on both sides of the ball, they’re playing great defense, and they’re playing against a backup QB. WATCH OUT FOR LOUISVILLE !!!
McCord played Michigan surprisingly well. He threw for 271, but what killed him was the 2 interceptions. The game ender was with his arm being hit as he threw, so you can’t entirely fault him for that one. Also, michigan’s one TD catch was not a completed catch, because the receiver didn’t have control of the ball clear through the catch, and OSU’s defender ripped it away at the end which SHOULD have resulted in a turn over. That would have been a different game after that point. Oh well, it is what it is now. But yeah, OSU HAS to open up the playbook! I never understood why we can’t do the quick jump passes in short yardage or goal line situations like everyone does, or flea flickers or ANYTHING creative like we did in 2014 against Bama. Our style of running jet sweeps and end-arounds to the short side of the field is absolutely pathetic play calling!

I agree. I don’t think McCord at the helm can take us to a Natty, but The Game was a 50/50 game this year because our defenses are like #1 & 2 in the country this year. I believe if The Game was in The Shoe this year, the Bucks would’ve won. TD catch was super suspect, but it is what it is. Can’t entirely blame McCord for the endgame INT because his arm was hit as he threw, but that was the difference in the game, his 2 INTs. If he doesn’t get interrupted on that throw, it’s either a dirt ball or Harrison catches it, giving OSU the first down with about 35 seconds left around Michigans 30, I think it was. He was moving the ball surprisingly efficiently on that drive until the INT. I’m not a big fan of him, but I honestly thought we would be about 8-4 this year. Hopefully next year is another great game! Best of luck Blue in the Conference game and the Playoffs! If OSU doesn’t sneak in again, WIN THE NATTY FOR OUR CONFERENCE! 🤝🏼

Texas Wins
Florida state wins

Michigan 1, Washington 2, Florida State 3… who gets that last spot ?
Texas they have to honor the head to head like they been all season
Texas.
Texas no matter what. ESPN will plea to the eye test however they want. Head to head should matter. Otherwise, no one would ever schedule the likes of Alabama as OoC opponents.
Georgia
Gotta be UT at that point.
Ha! They cut off Rece's mistake at the end of the show.
Good pick up!!!
1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. Oregon
4. Texas
All the way to 6??? They should have fallen all the way to 8!!!
To 12 bro, they haven't don't anything worth mentioning

I think so. But Georgia will have to play their best, and if they don't...
I think fsu will lose, their on their third string quarterback
That's because FSU plays a team that just lost to Kentucky lol
Bingo
FSU will lose.
Bruh, Texas could get beat Saturday and Washington could remove Oregon completely from the conversation. Florida state could knock themselves out vs Louisville this week. I think the committee knows really what we all know, they just don’t wanna say it.
If an undefeated Power 5 team doesn't make the playoff, then there isn't a Power 5.
The ACC is a JV league.
Flordia state even still played a top 15 team and won and still did not get in
Why do they make it seem Florida st is the only team that struggled
They were the only ones legitimately covered the spread this past weekend. Noles absolutely loaded with talent all over the field.
No respect by these clowns except sec.
Michigan covered against a better team. If Florida state beats Louisville they should be in.
I don't know but its so obvious
FSU just needs to win this next then there is time to better prepare Rodemaker
How is Tennessee ranked?! 🤣
They keep waiting for last year’s Tennessee to make an appearance.

Yep...Oregon has the largest margin of victory in the country.
We were told all year that Michigans games didnt matter even if they were blowouts because they were cupcakes..
Look no further than '14 Ohio State for that 👀test
no, you don;t punish a team for a injury.
@@TripleG12398 Georgia Tech certainly hung with Georgia. 🤣
Michigan went 6-0 in games without their head coach this season. With all due respect, Georgia and Alabama wouldn’t have been able to do that. Michigan has the best win of the season. its crazy how Ohio State definitely gets the most double standards in terms of discussing how good they are.
getting called soft and overrated in the first three weeks of the season, majority of people saying Notre Dame would win against them in a blowout fashion.
I don’t think they are over rated at all and I hate Ohio State. Go Blue!
It definitely shows the jealousy people have towards my Buckeyes, as a passionate fan of OSU I can relate to that.

This committee obviously doesn’t understand college football and obviously is Ohio st fans. Texas and Alabama should be ranked higher than Oregon and Ohio st. , both teams would even lose to mizzo
What are we doing keeping k state and Tennessee in the rankings this committee is horrible
Got some alternative motives
Gotta boost the SEC that has a losing record against other conferences.
How does Ohio State drop 4 spots from losing a nail-biter on the road against the 3rd best team in the country?
Im a Bama lifer, if FSU stays undefeated they deserve a spot. Idc if there entire offense is hurt! The rest of the team earned an undefeated season!! If they dont earn that spot by being undefeated in a power 5 conference then whats the point of a regular season.
Thank You. Exactly!! The young men earned it.
lol @ the dog barking in the back.

True!@@joeclaridy

They play in the ACC and do nit have their QB, its BS, this bs of welfare like TCU last year is a joke.
Oregons only given up 80 points in the second half... against much better offenses
87 isn't 70 bud and you've only beaten 1 currently ranked team this entire season...@@devotearchetype
@@dustinjack4496 80 and they were ranked before Oregon played them... also, Oregon was playing better offenses than 90% of the teams offenses FSU played..
How is 11-1 Tulane behind a 8-4 Tennessee??? C'mon man.
Agreed. Tennessee is only ranked to bolster Georgia and Alabama resume. Haven’t beaten anyone
Because of the conference they play in . . .
How is 12-0 liberty behind 11-1 Oregon??
@@mattdagodzzz3762lmao 🤣
@@mattdagodzzz3762 1 loss vs 4 losses??? C'mon now. Tennessee is only ranked to boost Georgia and Alabama's SOS. A schedule of 8 Conference games instead of 9 and North Alabama and Chattanooga in Week 11 when other schools are playing Conference opponents.
GO NOLES, lets finish strong!!
How Oregon and Ohio state is ranked higher than Texas is mind boggling
Because Ohio lost to the #2 team, and texas lost to Oklahoma.
They both lost to undefeated teams on the road in one possession games. Texas lost to a two loss Oklahoma team at a neutral site. Don't think it's mind-boggling to come to the conclusion.
Who has Texas beat besides bama? Nah like I'll wait. Oregon beat Utah, USC and Oregon state who were all good teams. Not to mention they walked over everyone except the #4 team in the country? So how is that crazy? Nah you just whack and casual
Because on the eye test, Oregon absolutely beats Texas if they play, that's how.
@@josephmanno4514 Oregon would dogwalk them folks 😂
Georgia Michigan Ohio State Washington or Oregon..... Top four teams..... It's supposed to be the best four teams not a undefeated team that is Missing their QB..... Starting a freshman...... Just so everyone knows..... Michigan and Ohio State both deserve to be in the playoffs..... Elephant in the room.... If Alabama beats Georgia..... Does Georgia not go in the playoffs??? Truth Georgia is in even if they loose Saturday..... I don't think they will loose..... Just think this is crazy..... Number two and Three play each other number two wins in a one score game..... And suddenly number three is number six.....
Ohio State won the National Championship with a 3rd string QB the first season college football went to this playoff format. If FSU wins the ACC, the committee won't and shouldn't care about which QB FSU has on the field
UGA grad here, Alabama is turning around and the team improves with every game. Milroe's dual threat QB that is going to be a problem. The 2023's SEC championship has the potential to be the real college football championship like 2022.
They must have been really bad if after 11 weeks of improving, they still need a miracle to beat a 6-5 auburn team
@dylanforester2147 They have blockers on and not ready to see that
@dylanforester2147 that's not a bad point. UGA also beat GA Tech, another 6/5 team by only 7 points. Teams with playoff hopes are resting their key players so they will be rested/recovered for the next 3 games.
Come down there buddy do you not watch college football or you such a HOMER?that you don't watch any other conference Oregon and Washington would take Alabama to the WOODSHED! I guess inbreeding down south really kills common sense and brain cells. :D
HaHa.....Nope
I'm a Michigan Fan also. But like boxing, Georgia is #1 until they get de-throned.
Michigan will be the only undefeated team in the playoffs.
Alabama isn't all that, Auburn gave them the game, Georgia will be undefeated
@@bryanb5353
Auburn could have no wins going in to the Iron Bowl and put up a fight. Its like the Super Bowl for them every season.
@@Clockwork0nions Whatever, I saw the end of that game, PURE luck.. They're not beating Georgia unless someone gets hurt
I feel like Georgia will beat Bama by 14+ this weekend.
How on this planet is Tennessee ranked?? Who have they beaten?
Same with Notre dame.Havent beat a good team.
Same with Clemson. Trash teams, but somebody’s gotta fill those spots, right? Lol
If Michigan woulda lost they woulda been outta of the top 10 show how much committee love Ohio state
ohio state has proven themselves in the playoffs. michigan consistently loses every bowl game they participate themselves in
Y’all didn’t even mention Liberty and they’re undefeated but talked about every other team
Ohio state even with one loss is better than FSU and Washington. They put too much stock into that undefeated record. OSU lost to Michigan, and it was anyone's game.
Ryan day got out coached by a dude who had only been head coach 3 times before that game definitely don't deserve to be in
How. Who did the beat?
THANK YOU! That literally what I've been trying to tell everybody for the past few days. I could argue the case that if Ohio State and Michigan played in a neutral site, they would win. I could also argue the same thing with Oregon and Washington, but the thing is unlike Ohio State and Michigan, we will get to see a neutral site game between Oregon and Washington.
@@TripleG12398😂😂😂 neutral site. We beat osu in the shoe last year lol
@@TheGoodTherapist key words...."last year" LMAO🤣🤣🤣. the rosters change every year so all the previous years' rankings have no impact towards this year's rankings. ohio state's offense is slightly less explosive, but their defense is way better this year. if the past few years would have any impact on this years' rankings, then Missouri wouldn't be ranked at all. just sayin
I am a full on Michigan alum, but Ohio dropping 6 spots? maybe 5 or 4. The game was evenly matched as they usually are... how is it they drop 6... again not an Ohio fan but give credit it's due... think they are getting the shaft. two great teams one is going to lose. its a bit much.
Because there are undefeated teams that are playing for conference championships. They should have fallen farther or should after this weekend if Texas and Bama win.
Let’s go Mizzou!!!!!!
I’m sorry but Ohio state has to be 8 if your not playing on championship weekend it’s over lol
Sorry I will not accept your asinine statement! Nope. Too stupid
Committee tryna sneak em in again 😂
It doesn’t matter if Michigan or Georgia is no 1 or not …. it just matters who they match up with in the first round (Captain Obvious speaking). Washington, Texas and FSU are desirable first round opponents. Oregon, Alabama, Georgia are not.
I’m sure Michigan thought that same with tcu💀that’s why games are played
@@Dre384 Yeah then tcu got blown out in the national championship because their win was a fluke. Mind you i'm an ohio state fan so me supporting michigan here is tough anyway but TCU clearly caught a break and was exposed the next week.
@@firelinkedadurite1128 I ain’t tryna hear it should have came more prepared they lost to the better team that day simple as that🤷🏾♂️it’s playoff football for a reason
@@firelinkedadurite1128 plus that wasn’t the point of my comment it’s to show Michigan fans be careful what you wish for thinking these teams just gone be “desirable” they thought the same thing last year🤷🏾♂️
As a bama fan they are not gonna let us in that’s why we been #8 for like 7 weeks. They’re tired of Alabama in the playoffs. That’s why Georgia still number one instead of Michigan because if we beat Georgia in the SEC championship they’re still get in just like 2021. And they will not let us just 4 spots. TCU lost the big 12 championship last year and was still in the top 4. These committees are garbage
BAMA SUCKS

Alabama backed into a lot of playoffs.
@@SportZFan4Ever FACTS
@@SportZFan4Everand then won it all proving them right to allow Bama
Alabama has done nothing. Their best game was a LOSS to Texas. They just got done having to claw against Auburn, who lost to New Mexico State. They are where they deserve to be at best.
Florida State def not top 4 team in the country.... I can see them having trouble with scrappy Missouri, Penn State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, LSU, Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, and Oregon.. NCAA College Football system has been broken forever yet it has the most potential....we can finally not have to deal with this next year. Next year it will be about underdogs and cinderellas upsetting the top ranked teams.
FSU already beat LSU 45 - 24. LSU only scored 7 in the second half, a fourth quarter final drive against our backups. Not to mention we have our DL transfer Darrell Jackson available for the post season. It's going to be harder to score on us.
Ohio State, and Oregon are the only two from this list I can see FSU having a major problem with. FSU already beat the brakes of LSU. 🤦
How is Utah not above some of these teams at the back end of the top 25? Only lost to Washington(3) Oregon(5) Arizona(15) Oregon State (20). Only played 1 non P5 team(in state). Only one game Oregon was not competitive. Utah is having a down year but still is top 25.
Like Tennessee, the bias for the SEC and Big 10 is obvious, Penn st is not a good team and Ohio st is overrated
@@Justintime-z4dbruh what? You really think Penn state is not good
Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Oregon St would beat Penn state on a neutral field, Michigan gets to play Iowa St in the big 10 championship, please that’s conference is so overrated, Michigan will get waxed in the first round no matter who plays them (except FSU)
That confuses me a lot too. Utah is a decent team and even though it may not seem like it, they actually do have a stout defense as well. I'm very surprised they're not somewhere between 25-22
Utah beat Florida with a pig farmer on his first start, tell me again how great the SEC is again?
Only thing about bama is that if they beat Georgia, you look at GA with one loss and Bama with 1 loss plus the SEC win, it’s just that easy. Bama controls their own destiny.
Maybe not. If Texas wins, then Bama may be left out. Michigan/ Washington/ FSU/ Texas in with Bama/ UGA/ out
