Another tip - if your email list is very large on Mailchimp - say, 50,000 recipients, and you run, say, a clothing business using emails, best bet to avoid the spam filters is to segment the recipients into different interests related to clothing..... Here is an example of good email list segmenting....assuming you have 50,000 recipients...... Email recipients who love dresses - 10,000 Email recipients who love skirts - 15,000 Email recipients who love lingerie - 5,000 Email recipients who love men's suits - 8,000 Email recipients who love men's blazers - 12,000 Segmenting large email lists is a way that you can send only those who like that interest topic to those recipients only and no other recipients. Why? If you fail to do so (that is, segment), you will likely mislead your customers, and they will not hesitate to spam-complain you by selecting that "!" thing against you! Hope this helps........
Great video, I really enjoyed how you showed a step-by-step of each step. It really helps, thank you for that! I also have a video on unusual tips to avoid emails going to spam. I appreciate your support!
Hi Nick, yes Mailchimp has been busy changing up their interface. I'm considering making updated content when the dust settles. Thanks for your suggesting
@@WPExplainer I use the free version. I can't see how to modify the settings as you suggest. Can you give me a start? Do I now need to upgrade to access these settings?
Yes Mailchimp has changed their menu structure which unfortunately makes some things harder to find. "List" is now "Audience" and settings are found in the "Manage audience" dropdown
@@WPExplainer A caveat - even though the menu structure had changed - Mailchimp and other 3rd party bulk email services have protections against you spamming your recips, so you need to make sure your email lists ARE CLEAN, so that Mailchimp will not ban your email privileges for being perceived as a spammer! THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT!
Hi Tyler, unfortunately you cannot authenticate a Yahoo email anymore. You can read about it here: mailchimp.com/help/verify-a-domain/ I recommend you get your own domain with your own email address and use that instead.
A new and updated version of this tutorial is now out! Watch it here: ruclips.net/video/DcAsNGzmsgo/видео.html

Hey. Nice video. Can you explain what to do at 16:21 for the new updated interface? Where can I add the first name and last name?
Hi Poojan, it should still be the same way, click "Edit recipients" and choose your FNAME under "Merge tag"
Hi Some of the settings seem to have a different location. Perhaps you could make a catchup video
