- Whole Foods Market today launches the first in-store color-coded sustainability rating program for wild-caught seafood and commits to phasing out all red-rated species by Earth Day 2013.
Partnering with Blue Ocean Institute and Monterey Bay Aquarium, Whole Foods Market is the first national grocer to provide a comprehensive, science-based sustainability rating system for wild-caught seafood. The system's green, yellow and red ratings make it easy for shoppers to make informed choices at the seafood case

I don't pay much attention to their signs. I but what I want when I want it.
there is no red seafood at whole foods anymore. watch for 1 day sales, super good deals (like 40% off). best seafood you can buy if you cant catch it yourself or live near a bay!
and they didnt sell chilean sea bass for a long time, they are just now carrying it and they dont make any money off of it

Why are they even carrying the red? And I don't buy the Patagonian Tooth Fish (AKA Chilean Sea Bass) line. A certified, responsible fishery? That fishes something close to extinction which has a very long growth cycle? C'mon...

Tou can expect to pay 90 dollars a medium lobster where i am and 30 dollars for 12 oysters.

I'm from Louisiana which has a major USA percentage with the seafood industry. sadly the USA wants the farm and agricultural way of life to go away. so we must be dependent on China and the Apple company police department. the apple company would rather have someone commit suicide than to break up and go on a new relationship with an android. it's 2017 Russian mafia is taking over the USA for a highway and genocide must happen with the USA. so saharia law can take effect with the federal government. we're almost at a point in life where's it's more legal to commit with a identity theft ponzi scam than keep your loyalty and dignity with an apple iPhone
warning!!!!!! at 2:55 , the salmon is raised from the farms, you can tell is orange color and more fatness lines.... while the original salmon from wild rivers and sea looks red and has no fatness. ..

While I 'm sure fish lovers regale in your fish choices can't you PLEASE vent your fish sections where the whole stores don't stink like fish? To some people the smell is as offensive as as cigarette smoke or water treatment areas. I have to fight the urge to toss each time I enter. Where is your marketing research savy? Offensive odors make you LOSE money.
