straight out of studio ghibli ... I keep expecting to see the cat bus or ponyo lol I know someone has built the scene from my neighbour totoro layout but this has the same feel . this guy is a superb modeller . love it .
Looks like 350 hours with flex and four turnouts! the road bridge, very nice touch across water and out of town, pulls your eye (right to left) from the crossings to the centerpiece, very well managed :)

I love this layout more then those big ones where trains go round adr round and round........very nice and enjoyable
Kudos for putting a reversing loop on such a small layout. IMO it makes it much more interesting than just going around in circles!
