I absolutely LOVE Side Effects. It's so super sexy on me.. It's also a beast in my opinion. Folks smell me wether I'm walking past or not. I am an extremely heavy sprayer though. And I also spray my clothes. Initio has some Bangers!! In addition to side effects, I own Rehab and Atomic Rose (one of Thee best rose fragrances) Absolute Aphrodisiac is nice, but my Royal Crown Sultan is very similar but better in my opinion.
I sprayed this one moderately, so that’s probably why it wasn’t “beast” to me! I actually really enjoy scents with this type of projection! I need to get my nose on some others from the brand!

I really like how you wear it for a few days and give it a real world test. Been watching fragrance reviews for a while and I haven’t seen one do that.

Great review. This is one of the most complete reviews that I’ve seen since I’ve been watching fragrance-related videos.
I really didn’t know how much I loved Side Effect until I traded it. I’ve always had a love for it but I wasn’t reaching for it much because I could never really find the right situation. After close to a year, I started feeling regret for letting it go. In fall of 2021, I started to feel like I was missing it. Finally, in October, I bought a brand new bottle for my birthday. I WILL NEVER GET RID OF THIS FRAGRANCE AGAIN!!! Lol. Again, great review. Keep up the great work. I love how you cover different categories when doing a full review. Thank you. Holla.

Hi Ayesha, I’m glad you reviewed this fragrance. I love it! I have a sample of it, but I plan to purchase a full bottle soon and rock it this Fall/Winter. I didn’t even know I really liked boozy scents until this one. This reminds me of Kilian’s Angel Share, but I like Side Effect better.
I love this series! I tried a sample of Initio and it smelled like straight rum to me; so a bit too boozy. But, I might give it another chance. Lauren Redolence here on YT absolutely loves Side Effect. Thanks again for your video. Hugs from the UK. 😀

A great fragrance. It’s in my daily rotation. It does smell a bit like “Oud For Greatness” which I enjoy as well! ✊🏾
I keep coming back to this video trying to decide if I want my next buy to be Initio Side Effect, PDM Layton, or some random 3rd option. I just know I want a fall winter banger that smells soothing/calming but not overwhelming if that makes sense.
Tried this for the first time today and couldn't get enough of the scent. I think the people who don't like it maybe just don't have a body chemistry match with it. I'm glad it worked for me! ❤
Ayesha, I love this series, as it is suspenseful leading up to your opinion on the fragrances. I literally wore this yesterday, so this review was right on time. I’m one of those who doesn’t care for cinnamon, but this one has a mild cinnamon scent. Glad you loved it🧡, it’s definitely a like for me because of the cinnamon. I agree it is an addictive fragrance.
I’m glad you gave it a chance even though you don’t like cinnamon! It is a really well done fragrance and quite addictive!
I got the pocket atomizer for my self and I'm so happy that the fragrance come with an additional mini inito free of charge.
Also I love the scent it's like a rich gum vanila and it's not to strong and very warm.
I'm so glad i bought it.
For people that want this but saw the price of $343
Thats only for the bigger bottle.
It has many sizes in OZ the pocket atomizer is $40 and as they get smaller they'll get to 6 to $4.
I have Initio Side Effect and i absolutely love it! It's a perfect Fall fragrance it's plummy and delicious smelling but not in gourmand way. To me it reminds me of Joop... a grown up more refined version of the old school cologne "Joop"...Side effect is less masculine more unisex leaning.
Don’t make me go find a bottle of Joop! 😂
@@SimplyAyesha Lol! They still sell Joop lol...It's not a dupe but both fragrances have that prominent smelling note of plum. Side Effect is Joop's cousin lol
Bought a few samples from this line and Side Effect is definitely one of my favorites. Along with Rehab

I literally just sold this bottle last night. Didn't like it as much as I thought. I LOVE absolute aphrodisiac. That's the real star of this house outside the oud fragrances.
I haven’t smelled any of their other fragrances, but I would love to!

My girlfriend wore this and I dont like it on her, or on females for that matter.. I feel like it's too heavy and dark (and the booze note fits better for men imo) fragrance and that it works better for men. I love it on me but smelling it on girl was not nice at all..

I just finished watching the video, it also reminded me of baccarat and more of our for greatness and I doubted if it has oud in it! But after watching your video I think it is saffron note, I didn't wear it yet, just sprayed it on my wrist but I think it is already a love for me! Thank you for your great video.

Definitely not a let down for me... I haven't smelt an exorbitant amount of nichè fragrances... maybe 12 in my collection and sampled 30-40.. but of everything I've come across Initio Side Effect is in my top 3

Great review as always. I keep going back and froth on this one, can't decide if I want a full bottle or not. I wish it was a bit sweeter on my skin.
Thank you! I have heard some people say it’s not sweet on them, but I’m glad I get that sweetness! Do you have samples or a decant? I definitely think this is one you have to play around with to see how it ends up working with your skin chemistry!

Great video! However, LOL! When you first took a snap of that fragrance and said you did not know what you smelled, I fell all the way out! I am not used to hearing you say that and I initially thought you would not like that fragrance at all. So I was surprised at the end of the video when you said that you loved it!

Weirdly enough, "Side Effect" reminds me a lot of "Fan Your Flames".
You are not the first person I’ve heard say that! They do have similar notes.
Does it not remind you of fan your flames by Nishane? Without the coconut note?
I can see some similarity, but I don’t think they smell alike. IMO Fan Your Flames is much heavier on the tobacco, whereas I don’t think the tobacco is prominent in Side Effect.

Initio Side Effects is the most disgusting 🤮 hot mess I’ve ever smelled. I’m hoping maceration helps me out because its expensive. BEWARE!! This is 💩
