Coolness. Thanks! And thanks for the W1AW mention. Just getting started here in Oregon. Passed my technician test 9 days ago, eagerly awaiting my call sign.

Cw can be sent Through the noise and I don't need a whole lot of power to do it. CW always works

Just installed FLDIGI and picked up a signal this afternoon and, sure enough, it eventually identified a "Jim in Cedar Falls, Iowa". Wondering how you get the waterfall to go across the entire screen at the bottom?

I'm new to FLDIGI too... in the settings you can change the amount of pixels that the waterfall takes up on the screen. I had to dig around and I finally found it.

Hopefully... Sadly I can't get fldigi to connect with my IC-7300. All the tutorials are 5 or more years old - none are being made for the current 1.4 (2021) version. Guess everybody knows how to use it - so no tutorials are needed.

Go to American Radio Relay League website ( www.arrl.org/ ) and type "code practice" in the web site search box (upper right corner) and you will find links to archive files of their code practice sessions, which you can play back whenever......you will also find link to their operating schedule , times and frequencies, if you prefer to listen to actual over the air code practice broadcasts.......
