Schwarzenegger teams up with Belushi for your standard hero/buddy cop flick with a twist.. Belushi is your snarky bad cop from Chicago, while Schwarzenegger is a tough as nails Russian from Russia! That's about it, other than that the plot's pretty standard to be honest.

I bet you 100 bucks that Arnie’s role was originally given to Dolph Lundgren. The man was the go to Russian for 80’s action movies and he’s Swedish!
They should do a deep fake video of that
Yeah, but Arnie is more fun in this and he has a great chemistry with Belushi
"COCAINUM!!!"
yea i this line is pretty much the only thing i rember from the movie
"You did not make it Victorrrrr"
we were robbed !
Red Heat is a classic. Rush Hour of the 80's.
It just struck me, why the hell didn't they have Arnold play an East-german rather than a Russian? Still would have been a communist officer and he would have been able to speak in his native language rather than that terrible "Russian".
A good idea but Russia wouldn't necessarily make 'East-Germans' international or even regular level cops like that, they'd want to keep it their own people. Plus Russian dedicated to Communism and is serious as opposed to some German possibly being in denial comes off as funnier
There was apparently a scene that mentioned in-passing that Arnold had been raised in East Berlin, but it got cut for whatever reason.
Would have looked silly when they did the reverse R thing in the titles
Because Rocky 4 was released two years earlier, had a huge Russian focus and made the most out of any Rocky movie so... Arnold is Russian because of capitalism.
But the only problem would be that he forgot how to speak German without American accent. 😂
True btw
Victor's tiny gun is a Derringer, Decker, which usually holds only two shots and you're right, the suppressor is crazy.
That guy saying "I robbed a bank" was the coolest thing in the entire movie, hands down
Danish translation of "Red Heat" = "A Russian cleans up in Chicago"!
Hungarian translation is "Red Cop", which is a bit more down to Earth.
Danskjävle
You should call this Schwarzgiving.
13:39 You’re right both movies soundtracks were composed by the late James Horner.
Shouldn't this be the fall of Arnold Schwarzenegger by now?
Don't question it and just let him say it, man.
To be specific, it'd now be the Summer has become Winter of Arnold Schwarzneger, cause like Decker said, it's November now. Best to just let him have his title. Not his fault a couple of hurricanes fucked things up a couple of months back.
Wasn't the last 20 minutes of Terminator the fall of Arnold Schwarzenegger?
David Brown Fall is the new summer.
yeah can't wait for decker's review on Total Recall (Arnold Schwarzenegger one)
Been asking Decker to review the “Maniac Cop” franchise for ages
Hey Decker just wanted to say that I have subbed to you since 2 thousand subscribers and i am still watching/loving your vids. keep up the great work and funny videos!
Shado is hilarious
Did you just realize this?
Herpy Depth Well, depends. Nostalgia Critic beats his audience 1,000,000 to 1
@@Official_Rockandrolla_98 yeah but Nostalgia critic is a hack with really bad jokes. ._.
@@spoodlydoodler3552 Indeed
@@Official_Rockandrolla_98 Nostalgia Critic stopped being funny long before this comment
So glad i found your channel a couple of weeks ago. Been binge watching your reviews. They are amazing and you are very entertaining!
This is a regular Friday late night, post pub, movie on ITV 4 here in the UK.
19:18 I like that he keeps showing off his 410 any time he wants to let everyone know he lives in Texas
7:41 LOL The look on Jim's face is priceless.
it's good to see Decker Shado back on movie reviews!!!
Fun thing about this movie - it comes off as being rather preachy in favor of Soviet Communism and against US Capitalism.
On the one hand, as a staunch anti-Communist I do find it a little strange that they don't bother to at least have some comebacks to the Soviet propagandized view of American life, it definitely feels like it's leaning that way. On the other, it's kind of refreshing to see Soviet citizens portrayed as human beings instead of just cartoon villains in a production from the 80s. That said, I'm the sort of guy who's willing to admit that good people do good things in bad countries, so I don't have many people that like me politically.
If I remember right the only reason they were actually allowed to film in Russia was because of this.
Maniac Cop trilogy please do the Maniac Cop Trilogy review!!😎😎
Loving all the uploads. Awesome job!
Arnold's always been my idol lol my favorite actor ever just fun as hell to watch wish he made more movies back then.......... i was born a little late i love the 80s
I hear you
Please do the RoboCop franchise!!
Awesome
I'd buy that for a dollar!
Do the Dirty Harry franchise, go ahead, make our day
Your wish has been granted
@Ben Polishak that would be a series worth watching him review
the lil' in november" was great
The guy he beats at 1:55 must be a real friend of Achnold because he seems to be in almost every film of his.
I love how you had a handy dandy revolver to explain silencers lol
i wonder how many ppl thought that Iron Man statement was a Joke, instead of a FACT?
Love your videos bro, keep them coming !
i'm glad to see you are doing fine now, Decker Shado
I hope you stay safe Shado, love you man!
The word play with the foundry worker stuff is that the KGB (or some shit like that) office in St Petersburg was located on the Liteynyi prospect, which translates as "metal foundry prospect" Now, there's the headquaters of the Federal Security Service of Russia, which is the new name for KGB
If you can get passed the terrible use of Russian and the bastardized Austrian-Russian accent of Arnold, this is actually a really badass movie.
Yay! I'm glad you are finally reviewing this movie. I wait for so long.
19:20
Decker with a gun: 2
"The deckining"
best credit music yet. Shado is the man
Decker finally an other video from the "SUMMER OF ARNOLD SHWARZENEGGER" 😁

Do solomon kane, even though it's not Arnie, just do it soon!!!!!
Hey, it's Weird Al's little brother!!
I really hope we can get a kidnegarden cop repute
That movie is just terrible i watched it a few months ago i was a kid when it came out & i liked it then
One of greatest movies all time . First American movie filmed in Soviet Union. Captain Danco
Hey Decker, I was wondering if you would ever consider reviewing more modern horror movies, I know you mainly stick to the classics, but Sinister is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I would really like to see you review it, specifically the soundtrack. Thanks!
Got the perfect movie for you to review Decker! Split Second with Rutger Hauer.
decker which revolver manufacturer do you think is better colt or smith and wesson
Great review! May I ask a question? I agree that Rosta shooting Salim was a dumb idea, but what exactly happens when he does the drop with Lupo? As in, what is Rosta's end game? Throughout the movie, it appears that he's going to flood the Soviet Union with drugs, but all I see is Lupo's men taking two cases, one I assume to be the drugs and the other is the cash, and put them on a bus. We next see a bus driving away, which I assume is the bus with the drugs and money, and Viktor is just standing there, empty-handed. I had assumed he was trying to get the money to buy the drugs that he'd then take back to his country to sell. What exactly was his plan? Really scratching my head on this one.
Please review Mars attacks after this event, many people on your comment section are asking for it!
Hey Decker you should totally do the Phantasm series.
Lmao at how Decker casually pulled out a revolver to educate us.
There are also revolvers that have the whole cylinder sealed that can be fitted with silencers. They are safer since gases cannot escape the sides where a beginner might place his hands.
To me the soundtrack sounded more like 48 hours then Commando
Same composer
I can't wait for there to be snow on the ground and Decker is still doing these...
In The "Shado-World", a month can last as long as Decker wants it to!
Weird that Victor smacked apart the Lamp to get the key? How did it not go erradic away lost somehow within the room instead of falling down only?
"You did not make it Victorrrr"
How long until we get a Halloween franchise review? You've done Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th. (Granted to prepare for the Jason Vs Freddy movie) Give the Halloween series a turn when you're able.
Damn, this is the longest summer ever.
We missed a great chance to see Peter Boyle sing putting on the Ritz to relieve stress. Then he could get all crazy when it goes wrong.
I think the reason for the music sound like commando is same music composer? may want to check that
"With nothing to do, spare , admire a gun when you have nothing to shoot at..."
or, you know, familiarize himself with a firearm he's possibly never even seen the same model as. Make sure he knows where the safety is ( safeties are?), slide stop, magazine release, check the action and trigger pull. Stuff you may want to do if you may end up relying on your knowledge of the firearm for your life.
this is so good, i hope you never stop. um, unless you want to... uh. yeah
1:46 I’ve always thought that Arnold was in a random documentary of human evolution.
So you basically thought they were cavemen.
@@kademcarthur5362 Yeah, lmao. Until I found this and watched the review. Turns out it’s not caveman speak, but Arnold’s try at speaking Russian. It fits, but eh.
I like how to prevent issues with actual gangs they made the gang skinheads, but of a different color. Creative.
The SUMMER OF 60's ROMANTIC DRAMAS!!!!!!
that is a beautiful revolver Decker
Interesting. Arnold’s Russian accent sounds a lot like his Austrian one. Also, like in True Lies, the bad guy in this looks like a henchman.
Please review taxes chainsaw massacre
Please do thankskilling 3 for your thanksgiving. Please!
You are awesome I love your videos
That was a beautiful 210 shotgun round revolver 😈
I've seen all his videos and he is the best RUclipsr ever
Decker, are you going to do dinocember. If you are, could you review dinocroc
9:09
Actually, "diplomatic immunity" is carte blanche for doing whatever the fuck you want as long as it doesn't directly endanger anyone. This is how embassy security are allowed to get weapons and munitions through customs when they travel without any beurucratic run arounds.
People with diplomatic immunity and their bodyguards (also having diplomatic immunity) are allowed to carry weapons for personal defence, no questions asked.
Why do these people get it and not you?
Because people that get diplomatic visas are generally trustworthy and "important", that's why.
no lube...again, I have to clean my screen...damn you Decker! :)
Decker has guns!!! yesss!!!
Reason Cat was in the hospital was because the previous scene had her get into the car and the driver was the one who dressed up as the nurse that gave the air bubble to the other Russian ("Soviet").
Hey Decker Can you review Crimson Tide? It's severely underated with one of the best acting I've seen in a long time .
Wait, "shoot each other. The winner go's home with me?" That's exactly what the siren said to Dean and Sam Winchester in supernatural.
Best hair indeed. still my favorite review channel besides the nostalgia critic
Dude, my name is Dorin, I'm from Romania, and you're "no diner, no lube" joke suprised me so much that I almost dropped my drink. You scared me man, I have not laughed so hard since July. "Dorin" is a common name in my country, how many other romanians did you startle with this review?
But black female ironman is tony's apprentice not tony himself.
"Jim Belushi is pretty funny" words that have never been uttered before.
I thought he was this movie
i applaud you, your the first person on youtube to pronounce brion james the right way. most people call him brian.
I guess even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Solomon!!!!!
oh you're gonna love Hershel and his shotgun. It's so good, you don't even need to reload.
For the first time Arnold and Belushi together in a buddy cop movie. Red Heat.
2:45 made me cry hahahaha
seriously man, the winter is coming.
One of my favourite films!!
@ 12:10 that's the girl from the Steven seagal hard to kill movie right !?!
*Uploaded 40 seconds ago* Mother of god... That is without a doubt the earliest i have ever been
I really hope you review The Last Action Hero.
Ok. It was a revolver so, some of that doesn't apply, but, the general idea still stands. Familiarization with firearm that may keep one from dying.
decker, can you please review "race the sun"? its a feel good movie about solar cars, kids in high school, and the battle to see how hard one can try if others believe in them....... pleeeeeease???
I remember that movie, it was a pretty good if somewhat forgettable movie. I liked it, but i forgot about it completely until you mentioned it.
Ive never heard of this movie before. Arnold, in 80s Chicago with Jim Belushi, bad Russian accents...COME ON!
Nice revolver Shado.
As a child I always found it weird that Arnold never got shot the way he stood toe to toe. I thought he shoot their bullets out of the air too.
Decker, just wondering, do you like Rammstein, love to know, also great hair and great video
so, are you gonna do Total Recall ? I mean I know you thought of it I'm just curious. Probably u r.
Shadow is probably my favorite viking
