- Change is coming to Brazil after an historic election night that ousted far right incumbent Jair Bolsonaro in favor of former leftist president, Luiz Ignácio Lula da Silva. There were celebrations in the streets, as well as a humble acceptance speech from the victor. It will be the third term in office for Lula, 77, who promised to restore Brazil’s economy and protect the Amazon rainforest. Lula won just over 50% of the vote. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

Attempts to prevent pro-Lula voters from voting prob helped narrow the margin white a bit. Fascism always goes down trying to take the world down with it.

These same judges put him free after LULA stayed 2 years in jail, cause he was convicted for corruption and laundry money, to pass 17 years in prison. The biggest corruption scandal of the Brazil History , maybe of the world ( almost 1 trillions dollars has stolen ). Bolsonaro was facing the nefarious opposition and even putting his life in danger to defend Brazil .

ALWAYS be sus when you see people in the crowd wearing new matching color t-shirts (in this case red). I was in Thailand years ago were they were attempting to stage a "color coup". It was an amazing spectacle to watch, they bussed in poor locals from remote villages, paid them a small amount of cash each day to attend the rallies/all day "demonstrations", had huge media set-ups (like a rock concert in the USA), blared propaganda music/films/speakers 24/7. When you talked to well educated locals, they knew exactly what was going on, yet when I looked at the media coverage in the USA it was a completely different narrative-WHAT A SURPRISE!

Brazilian here. People celebrating Lula weren't paid for. That fotage is in Sao Paulo, a city where 16 million people live. People went there because they wanted to, there's no matched clothes, as long it was red people wore it. Bolsonaro's cult were the ones PAYING people to attend their rallies and that's where you can see matched clothes by rich brands such as supermarkets.
