This property is so crazy to see from the water too. We have a house in Amagansett (not even remotely close to something like this) but when id take the boat out I would pass it almost everyday. Really unimaginable property. This video doesn’t even show the true scale of how impossibly massive it is
its not the real price at all plus the man who built it robbed the pensions of the people who worked for him. They almost took it once, give it time it will happen.
they don't offer Flood Insurance for homes near the Ocean or other areas prone to flooding. So it's basically a ripoff, like a lot of other insurance policies.
That first house is Fair Field, in the Hamptons. Its hardly the largest or most expensive house in the United States. Size-wise, it is ranked 19th. Biltmore, in Asheville, NC, comes in at no. 1 and is almost three times the size of Fair Field.
"Where's your bathroom? I'm about to burst" " 2 miles down, 1 mile to the left, last door on the right, then 3 miles right. You know what lemme just google maps it to you"
I'm pretty sure the Biltmore Estate is the largest privately owned home in the US. completed in like 1903 it has 760,000 sqf of living space. This so called 'Mansion' is probably smaller than the Garden house at Biltmore.
It's unlikely that the $500 million property would actually sell for that, it'll be lucky if it sells for half of that. The most expensive listing in California ($250 million) just sold for around $90 million.
is it just me? I get depressed when I see such clinically sterile empty homes. Although very tastefully and beautifully furnished, can we at least see some semblance of life in those rooms? Like put a half open book here, or half drank glass of drink there, children and dogs running at the poolside, someone getting out of bed, or lounging on a chaise lounge reading a book, or someone busy in the kitchen or enjoying a movie ...
Although it's been made on a very large acre of land but still I liked the simplicity of this house. It's not like others who house have a lot and lot of fancy lights.
Yes it’s gorgeous but I truly don’t understand, I mean seriously how much space does an owner need? I’m not hating, it’s stunning and incredible but it seems preposterous really
This is really nice. However I don't believe it's as large nor worth as much as Biltmore Estate in Asheville North Carolina. Biltmore constructed between 1888 & completed in 1895 with its art & museum furnishings is in the Billion's of dollars range. Many furnishings and art pieces are priceless beyond dollar value. Biltmore is 175,000 sq. ft. over 4 acres of floorspace. William Morris Hunt was the Architect (creator of New York & Rhode Islands famous Gilded Age Mansions) and Frederick Law Olmsted was the Landscape Architect (creator of the New York Central Park) together designed Biltmore Estate under the carefull eye of owner George Washington Vanderbilt heir of the Vandebilt Railroad fotune. The estate was built on 125,000 acres.
