I actually came because I was wanted to know more about the portrayal of Hedwig in Korea and can I just say this interview was not interesting at all. The interviewer didn't say anything worth listening to, instead she asked about their sexuality and only talked about their looks and whatever it is that she said. Hedwig is a very interesting character and story and I wish they actually talked about that. Also I don't know why they did this "light makeup look" on their posters. I get that it's the look that Koreans like but that's not the point of the musical? Hedwig is a rock singer and they just stand out a lot mostly because of the hair and makeup that tends to look kind of "drag". Might just be the promo shoot 🤷🏽♂️. I don't know everything there just seems very surface level. Would not sell me on the show.

I too came here looking for discussion on the portrayal of Hedwig and how it fits Korean theatre, but most of the questions were borderline transphobic and quite frankly useless. There is so much material to cover, it could have been so much more interesting if they just talked about the musical and the story, but its the identity and sexuality they focus more on, smh

Art ...and to hone their craft. Venturing out to challenging and unconventional roles helps an artist grow, and brings a variety in their portfolio to reflect a higher range of versatility. But then again it’s the same for all people who want to master something, artist or not, one has to branch out and explore to master a craft. An open mind helps anyone grow by leaps and bounds.😉
