I know it costs a lot but if you are looking for the ultimate navigation solution, certainly this is one of them.
I was looking for such a solution for a long time, sold my previous Garmin devices (Tread & Montana 610), struggle a little with the decision because of the price, but hey, if not now then when :)?

Hello, thanks for the video. I didn't understand exactly where you are getting power from on the 790. Is there a dedicated available plug behind the headlight?
    Thanks

In 790 Adventure R there are two power cables behind the head lamp and two power cables under the seat in the back. Thay are valled ACC1 and ACC2 one of them is behind engitiin one straighr form battery. I have mine connected to one behind egnition, same as Terrain Controler

@@DaxMoto Thanks for the super fast response. Do the cables provided plug directly or I also need to find an adapter? Thanks for such a quick answer.

@Luca Passone I'm not sure. I think you need a wider plug.

Cześć. Mam problem z Osmand na Carpe itter. Nawigacja nie chce wczytać trasy. Ustawienia rower, preferowane drogi nieutwardzone. Zgłasza jakiś błąd że nie może załadować mapy. Wszystkie mapy mam pobrane do pamięci wewnętrznej. Może ma ktoś podobne problemy. Jak to rozwiązać. A może tablet jest po prostu za mało wydajny pod moje ustawienia?

Niestety nie pomogę, nie używam osmand"a. Na Carpe Iter używam Locus Maps.

Thank you for the video. I have the Iter tablet on my bmw. But I wont it on my ktm as well. How did you mount it on top of the dashboard? Is it sturdy? Do you use the neck braces for the headlight assembly?

    • @DaxMoto

I have changed whole head lamp and dashboard support for Rade Garage Rally Kit made from carbon and supported by steel, it has its own neck brace. Love it and it was tested on Bosnia Rally by the makers. OEM mount will fail to carry such weight of Carpe Iter.

    Hello,
The fact of having the Terrain Command on the right and on the left is penalizing ?
Is it as convenient as having it on one side ?
    Thanks.

Well, it depends on which motorcycle toy installing the controler. I would like to have it on one side (left), but it will move away horn and indicator switch to far away, and as using bike not only off-road, I had to split.

Nice vid. Any long term review? Still like it? I'm about to start an 890 build and this looks what I want. Been running a Garmin Zumo xt, but would like something better.

Thanks, no long term use review yet. But with every Rally I like it more and more. Both the nav tower and Carpe Iter tablet with Terrain Controler. I also bought "chiper" version for my Girlfriend (tab active2 with ram mount holder) for Honta CRF 300 Rally just to compare those two setups. And it is nothing to compare really. For ADV riders samsung will be enough but if you want something relailable and rugged - Carpe iter is the way, especially if you navigate by roadbook.

@@raseboRO yes it was to heavy for the stock mount, and also by having rally tower it is in site of view while standing.
