Seeing the person, you have spent so much time with and confided in, over the span of years, seemingly involved in setting you up(still unclear but as I interpreted the situation). The person you believed, would be the first to jump to your defence, actually being the first to, essentially 'throw you under the bus'(as I interpreted the situation), pointing the finger at you in accusation, in a potentially dangerous situation, was traumatic. Although I felt a tug of war, in terms of emotions, for a significant period of time(a couple of years minimum), also remembering the good memories and aspects of the relationship. Considering whether or not, I should give the person a chance, in the end, I disconnected and ignored any further communications. As difficult as it was, the trust was broken, and it would not be the same, I believed, and I did not feel fully comfortable, with the idea of sharing the persons company, any longer.
