So glad to see Cryptmaster getting some love. It's a really weird, cool thing, and it got totally buried by Animal Well and the other deluge of indies that came out alongside it.
To be fair Animal Well is a fucking masterpiece and is also extremely time consuming if you wanna really feel out the whole extent of it. Cant believe a small team made something that expansive.
I had a surprisingly good time with this game when Waypoint did it as their first 101 (sort of a community video game book club type of thing they did for a long time). The storms were awesome, the car combat and fighting convoys was satisfying. As you said, the biggest problem was that raiding bandit bases on foot got tiresome after a while.

Mad Max was a cool game, but looting every outpost got real repetitive and I never finished it. Some real gorgeous desert landscapes, though.

Indie games just get it done. Already been enjoying Mullet MadJack and now Cryptmaster is lookin' sick.
Mad max is a top 10 of all time for me.
