Yeah in 2013 he constantly stay on the top win rate too. Even though his skill set then are dogshit compared to now.
Dark Seer is a Medusa counter not because he's a lane bully but because of the wall. It's like we can't kill Medusa so we gonna get our own Medusa to kill her. It's quite good since now illus also have mana shield.
Grimstroke aghanim upgrade also viable but he need to farm his aghs first which is wont happened if he playing pos 4 or 5
@@TheRoadrunn Yes reason why Grimstroke isn't practical is because you have to farm an item as a support while Dark Seer has it in his kit and it's also such a great teamfight spell.

Had a feeling that uncounterable shield passive got an issue... Never thought this even fucks up the pro scene.

Video is old news, Dusa is not that much of a problem anymore (be it in pro, or in high elo pubs). She was not broken only because of her new "kit" but because her stats were a bit too high. But it's always gonna be the case with such a major patch, some heroes are gonna be overtuned, some are gonna be weak. But at least it's getting fixed pretty quickly.
Also he says her passive is the only one that cant be broken, but it's 100% false, there are at least 15+ hero passives (and i'm not even counting the 30+ neutral and summons passives, even tho they can be used or stolen by a few heroes), that cant be stopped by break or anything else.
I made a quick list off the top of my head in another comment.
@@JetFiiire nope, Medusa still the highest WR in the past week rn, the next pos2/pos1 style hero at placed 5th and 6th are meepo and Arc warden which is pub stomp smurf data. Heros still broken asf.

You forgot to mention the balance changes she received in 7.33c. Her shield was ultimately weakened, but the shield works on Illusions now. Her win rate went down about 3% but still floats over 55, which is problematic still.
I think the passive being unbreakable is fine because tiny is in a similar position with grow but I think it is stupid that armour reduction / magic reduction play no part in the damage dealt.
Nerfing the damage per mana numbers reasonably hard along with allowing armour and magic resistance to be a factor will help her stay unique and more situational because her list of counters would be bigger than just am/ds and be different to most other heroes list of counters.
Can't really judge medusa off tiny, even though tiny gets allot more health he losses attack speed and he kinda needs that, but dusa doesn't really lose anything
Wk passive is also unbreakable( U). Funny enough the solution to deal with him is also mana burn until he gets shard

Negative armor is still not great way to deal with agi heroes and negative mr is hardly ever achieved, even eblade alone doesn't bring it below 0, it just goes closer to 0. armor and mr not affecting barrier is mostly a downside to medusa rather than upside.

Can stun
Can support
Can tank
Can end
which makes sense cause universal hero

@@emptycode1782 If she is lvl 25 and has Skadi,manta, a deadlus, and BKB, and walks into teamfight with ult on she can easily get a triple kill-rampage. Hence the nuke.

Old dusa you cant spam snake to only 1 target, its loss mana
About 4:00 , there are A LOOOOOT of passives you can't break, few exemples here:
- panda's drunken brawler
- dark seer's normal punch
- old and new bad juju
- ogre magi's dumb luck (and old multicast)
- pudge's flesh heap
- sk's passive epicenter procs with shard
- SF's necromastery damages
- tiny's grow
- treant's nature's guise
- undying's death tombstone and reincarnation
- wk's reincarnation
- visage's soul assumption
- zeus's lightning hands
etc etc
So yeah while new dusa is super broken, her passive not being broken by break is not the reason and is not an exception.
those are ultimates and shard upgrades tho. the reason ppl build break against pa and bristle as such is bcs of their E and for bristle to not gain charge from ulti, same goes for sf dmg. while broken sf cant gain soul rather just uses the dmg already he had.
pudge's flesh heap is an active ability with a stacked passive

Worth noting tho is that it works in both directions. Armour and magic resistance does nothing either.
Honestly the -Armour argument seems pretty weak unless you are against a super heavy -Armour team. Dusa has a lot of agility, and it would only be a damage buff if you got her below 0 armour.

u can actually make her sleep with Titan's stomp. and keep hitting her, she will not wake up because she didn't lose health to wake up

We've been doing that in SEA server since 2015
Medusa + Kotl + IO is literally free mmr giving her constant supply of mana covering Medusa's main weakness which is the laning phase. New Medusa is shitty and her only weakness is preventing her from farming, but with how big the map is the task of preventing her from farming is a lot harder.

AFK farms for 50 minutes then wins. It's not a fun game, it's just slow, nothing interesting happens, then we all die.

In warcraft base game, they had a skill called Mana burn where you point and click, both taking mana away as well as doing damage based on how much mana got taken away. Why have they never added that to dota 2? It would point and click her to death.
Nix used to have a spell like that, many mana burns were remove from the game sadly

I think tiny should stay strength...i know he's an all-rounder hero that can be played in any role but strength makes sense for his character design...and making him universal might make him even more efficient and remove the shortcomings he had this making him op

Me and my friend have gained more than 700 mmr by just banning AM- Nyx and picking Dusa-KoTL every single game.

got 100% winrate against dusa using darkseer as the only counter the thing is you use your illu to kill her teammates then take him down last can easily kite out dusa got no mobility and never buys mobility item. with aura items and shard you can reduce so much of her damage then slow her with shard while saving your allies with move speed when you get so much kill with hero illu you cna get an ags thats basically 2 unkillable stronger dusa if you cant still finish buy refresher 4 dusa that deals 120% if her damage that is unkillable cause of mana shield mechanic but most of the time you can drain dusas mana just by ult and shard based on my experience
2 damage per point of mana at level 1 shield, that's like level 3 shield from old patch.
to be fair, her health is basically non existent
2 months later... MEDUSA is so nerfed in 7.33e that she is total crap yet again! HER MANA is not like regular HP. It is actually worse than having regular HP. This has reduced her to nothing!

honestly, the medusa thing is the only change in 7.33 i think is absolutely retarded. No hero should be able to just tank the entire 5man team for minutes, tank the initial burst sure but multiple ability cooldowns and still kicking strong? thats just dumb.
Nobody else gets that dumb unless were talking post-60m gameplay. She gets that dumb in like 20m and even if she didnt have a feedfest to buff her up.

I think people that think dota is imbalanced just haven't played other Mobas. It might not be perfect, but imho dota has better balance than most competitors... until Valve says fuck it and releases a massive patch and lets players figure it out. Then it's chaos for a while.
Still remember a few day ago someone pick Medusa on a turbo game with no counter and he feel so good winning the game flaming my team because i stomp their safe lane early game

I don't get why people think Medusa is broken. She is still useless in the early game especially without a good support. Buying attack speed and diffusal seems to kill her fast when playing heroes such as Juggernaut.

This hero needs some testing and tweaking for it to become balanced. The mana shield rework is quite interesting tbh and I like these kinds of uniqueness in heroes. She just chucks 1 snake into a whole team and she gains back her mana which is more important. It's not like with back then she gains health back with satanic you can disarm her. Maybe allow Break to make Mana Shield drain even more? Who knows.
about passives not being broken... It's how it's supposed to be. You can't just brake tiny or WK or meepo ult, it would be just stupid. Medusa's shield fits nicely in this list. What, just turn 4000 hp into 200 with brake? Is it balanced for you?

I like to buy phylactery on axe. Crazy slow with battle hunger=free decay and easy dunk 1-shot.
