Nichole, you were so honest and witty 😊...congratulation as you continue to make Jamaica proud...🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲...thank you Xavier for bringing our people to us..
I have been living in England since I was 11 years old and I totally agree with Nichole the English are very racist they laugh with you to to your face then they call you names behind your back school was an experience not a very nice one even the teachers are racist and try to hold you back I had one teacher who said to me that I was too ambitious when I told her I wanted to be a lawyer. When I began my articles I went back to her and with much pride I told her that I had started my articles (now know as a trainee Solicitor) which was not easy to say the least to get a firm to take me on due to racism and their false sense of superiority I duly qualified as a Lawyer and worked until retired in 2022 I certainly was ambitious and proud to have been I can tell you
Congrats Xavier for such a 👍 great interview with Nichole. She is so authentic and a great ambassador for Jamaica. I will continue to follow her and wish her continued success.❤ Love
Hello fellow Westmorelite…..thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Nicole, I appreciate how candid your perspective is of England….could listen to you all day….continue to be genuine, humorous and a true Jamaican. Know you bring some warmth and sunshine to those bleak, dreary, dark days in England…Continue to shine!! ❤
27:12 " Dem slice it rough, " 😁😁😁 I like her sense of humor. But it's true , it's just different all around . Plus the atmosphere back home just add yo the niceness of the food .
She is probably one of the most honest guest on this program. Other guest try to pretty up their experience living in other countries. Everything she said I've explained or know someone who has.The people are not friendly I would never live there. They have lots of homeless people on the streets, sleeping in subway etc. Fish n chips no have no taste. I go to Brixton every time I visit. The weather is bipolar maybe tripolar. I've been inside BP, the furniture dem old... No big deal. . Big up Nicole
27:45 Absolutely. Being ethnocentric will only closed you off from learning about the richness of other cultures , and negatively impact your experience.
Ms McKintosh has a resemblance to a friend of mine who left Jamaica as a child. Maybe she would like to meet this lady sounds just like her and look the same. Same complexion and surname.
That is why parents must allow their children to pursue what they like and want to do. That is how white people treat black people all over the world, they do the same thing here in this country that I am living in. Good interview!
🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 They don't hold their bags out of fear. They do it as an insult. Not one jack inna dem bag... 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 Almost every city have a carnival. Alma mater...
Seriously? They cluctch pocket books in lots of cities in America but I did not realized until I was a young adult. I heard the American blacks stated it but it went over my head. Lord! This girl said they do that in other European countries too. Belief is a choice because it cannot be just one set of people who are talented or wealthy, come on.
Umm she lives in the UK and is talking about her experience in the UK. Just because racism exists everywhere it doesn’t mean that she shouldn’t call it out where she lives 🙄
im not a dad i never raise my kids here best place to make money but its pure existing not living we black people are not prospering were not going further were not happy anymore
When you travel around the world you meet people of all different cultures and learn from them , travel broadens your horizon. Never limit yourself.
Yes indeed...this is something I've always say.
Nichole, you were so honest and witty 😊...congratulation as you continue to make Jamaica proud...🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲...thank you Xavier for bringing our people to us..
Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
Thank you Claudia! Blessings to you 😊

Lovely to hear of my home. I’m born in London. Live in the states now. I love my Jamaican heritage. Enjoyed the discussion.
Enlightening ,honest and educating..Thanks Xavia. Nicole was pleasant and real.
Thanks for watching
❤ love this, I can relate to everything Nichole mentioned. I experienced same before moving to Wales😊
Is Wales better in that department?
There is a lot more peace in Wales. England is miserable energetically especially for the descendants of the enslaved.
Congrats Xavier for such a 👍 great interview with Nichole. She is so authentic and a great ambassador for Jamaica. I will continue to follow her and wish her continued success.❤ Love
Thank you Merlene, we have to lift each other up. 😊
Indeed she is. Thank you for watching.

Great interview very informative. Finally hearing from a student who attended Mannings High.

@@nicholemcintoshfrsa9609 Believe me, I do . Hehehe.
Another good interview Xavier.
People learn by curiosity and I love her approach to navigating the perception👍. I love that she’s honest about stereotypes too.

23:32 Like an onion , she has many layers . 😊
I like your programs bro. They are inspirational.
Nichole, a lovely interview.
Jamaicans in England goes way back to the 17 and 1800s.The presence goes back generations.
Indeed
Good to see you, Blue Blood.
One big thing I've noticed about Jamaican restaurants throughout London is the lack pork dishes available
Yes, that's true. For many small takeaways in London, where there is a sizeable muslim community, they let them know that they food is 'halal'.
27:45 Absolutely. Being ethnocentric will only closed you off from learning about the richness of other cultures , and negatively impact your experience.
23:09 I'm liking her even more . We have similar spirit.
28:39 Likkle more, Nicole . Big up yuh self ! 😁

Big up girl.

I love the Jamaican accent and have been practicing it for years.
