I just install ago on my F150 because when I was driving, I saw that my truck was sagging in the back, especially when I told my Trailer my truck went up an inch up now when I’m towing it straight 👍👍
Nice quick and clear how to. We have a 2001 Suburban 4x4 which had totally gone Nimovats (spelling?) and the replacement cost was insane. Especially in Canada. I trust the Monroe name, got them on the truck and we are amazed by the ride and handling improvement. Good stuff, truck sits better too. Thanks for posting!
Can you use the compressor that came with system to inflate tires??? Just bought a 2wd with the auto ride and want to do a prerunner/overland style build we don’t do extreme overlanding where we would need 4x4 just yet but as a starter/family rig it’s something im looking into converting
Does the truck sit level with front end once you put those shocks ,or does it sit high in rear ,I got 05 denali would it be good to put 2 inch springs to lower it ?
What up tho. I got these same shocks i put on 7yrs ago on my 03 yukon denali (thats still goin strong) The left one just blew and leaking oil so gonna swap out again with these same Monroes. Why not just jack the frame rail by the tire like youre changing a tire and do it that way? Nice video hope all is good!
@bigaparker1977 Yes, Service Ride Control still shows across the screen when I first start it, but I don't care... I just clear it out. Owned it for 12yrs now, and it runs great. Glad to help 😎
I’ve read somewhere there is a fuse that can be removed and then no more service ride control dash light. Have to look up which fuse. Probably do this upgrade soon thanks
@kenhart2516 there I s a video on YT where a guy shows how to remove the sensor/fuse...I know it's somewhere in the back by the Rear passenger side panel that you have to remove 😎

These shocks with springs in them look interesting to me. I have a stock height 2000 Chevy Tahoe regular 2wd ls no air ride in mines. But I need to replace my stock worn out shocks with new ones. I want to eventually lower my Tahoe with like a 2/4 drop and I want a stiff suspension. Would you say these make your truck ride stiff or should I go with something else. I want the stiffest ride. Which air ride shocks did you pull off? AC Delco or some cheap knock offs? I ask as my air ride shocks have lasted 19 years with 150k. Not much hauling but some with light load at about 4500lb. And are you getting suspension codes thrown at you now that you just shut off the compressor?
Yes they were some super crappy aftermarket air shocks!! I wanted to try some standard shocks and liked the reviews on this brand and just to see if I could just get rid of the air ride. So far I really like these Monroe Shocks. They ride really nice and smooth. I have read reviews about towing with these and people seem to really like them for towing also. The cornering feels like a brand new ride compared to those crappy air shocks.
