I don’t mind the lengthening of animations. It’s so cute watching Mario adjusting his hat after performing a perfect attack. It adds to the charm of the series. That’s why I don’t mind the tutorials in Dream Team. The charm of the game more than makes up for it.
You can’t tell me the train Toads from Color Splash aren’t comedy gold. “MY WIFE LEFT ME” and “LUIGI WOULDN’T DO THIS TO US” are hilarious.
20 years later this game is still a masterpiece!

I remember playing a demo of the game back until I finally got it for Christmas back in 2003.

It’s so unfunny that to me it becomes funny. I’ve laughed out loud at some of his stuff and his editor helps out with that.

Brents ability to get so many 1s during the level up bonus is honestly impressive. Great playthrough man, cant wait for the next one!
The more you add points to the same stat after each level up decreases the potency of the boost. It encourages making balanced characters instead of one stat...which no one does because PWR is just that busted of a stat.
@@ogre589 I mean defense and HP are only really important if you're bad at dodging. BP is probably the second most useful stat since Bros. Attacks are broken.
@@AtJoee230Knockback Bros Advanced is busted as hell, same with Swing Bros advanced and the elemental bro attacks

@@AtJoee230 At least in my very limited experience with the game (started playing it after seeing the thumbnail and went wiki diving at points for info on specific mechanics) I would definitely agree, specifically it goes POW > STACHE/BP > SPD > HP/DEF in my mind. The only time I really took HP/DEF was from the coffees when I had to make them to unlock the broken items, but there's some HP regen builds that might also be good idk. I liked using some speed oriented effects like mario follow (got very lucky with item drops and found some gear early) so I could see a good use case for investing in it for Mario at least. Stache is very useful in the shop or for crit builds later on, and BP is obviously great for more bros. attacks which should be spammed to unlock advances. POW is just broken. I tended to split POW and BP for Mario and STACHE and BP for Luigi, but I was looking for more variety by doing that. Sorry for the paragraph lmao
I never played these games but I definitely want to, plus it’s the prime source of sprites for SMBZ, super nostalgic

Man, that speech at the end hit hard man… I used to play (and still do sometimes) the Mario and Luigi series and phew boy. They are and still such an amazing and unique experiences! So, like Brent said… Thank you Alphadream for making such wonderful and goofy games! (Expect for Paper Jam that one should be forgotten in my opinion :|)
I like how they added rumble to the NSO port. It's a small thing that adds so much!

Edit: Just finished my playthrough, got mario at lvl 42 and luigi at lvl 41. Took about 14 hours, amazing game.

I would absolutely love to have Mario and Luigi bowsers inside story to the switch. I would genuinely play that all day every day. Such a masterpiece game and this game is a solid 2nd ☺️👍

Probably been said already, but Advance Splash Bros can be used on spiky enemies without taking damage, and deals double damage to them. It's still worse, but it does have some use!

I'm so excited for MP3 to drop. Not only was it my favorite Mario party growing up so I'll play the hell out of it, but I'll also get videos from Brent as the cherry on top
Yeah, I'm looking forward to Brent, Nick, Vern and Sophist to play MP3 as well. Too bad Waluigi Island is an unlockable board you need to get by playing the story mode, I'd love to see how the other three would react to the zany stuff on that board.

35:00 is weaker because it is suppose that you use it to enemies that have spikes in their head. With that attack you will not recieve damage.

I remembered playing this game, i LOOOOOOVED it so much, sure the final boss was SUPER Hard, not Bowsetta, Cackletta's Soul was the part that gave me trouble but even to this day, its still one of my favorites in the past, those were the days huh? 😁

Superstar saga is one of the best GBA Games in History and It will never be forgotten. And King Of Skill you should play Minish Cap also one of the best GBA Game.

You attack 2nd if your speed is below 120. You were more than fast enough to outspeed her soul. Bowletta can't be outspeed as she automatically gets the first turn.

If anyone was curious splash bros advance does double damage on spiked enemies and half on normal enemies. Its also the opposite for the remake
