At 20:23 you could check the "Refit within" option and play with various settings for the tolerance, then click Preview to see the expected shape according to your settings. An alternative solution is to go to 20:27 and use "MatchSrf" command to match the edges of the lofted surface that you just created to the ones of the vertical ellipses at either side. No matter which way you choose, that will increase the amount of control points for the lofted surface, but will also make it more accurate and with even offset from the outside shell.
At 15:52, simply click on the "XAxis" or "YAxis" option in the command prompt to make a mirrored copy, eliminating the need to type "0" followed by a manual clicking in the viewport while holding down the Shift key.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. At 13:05. I explode the shape. then I delete the 2 inner cylindrical shapes. then as I go to blend the surfaces I'm unable to. As the circular edge is incomplete. there are 2 control point that show up when I go to blend. these control points break the circle (edge). its there on all the 4 edges that I need to join to make cylindrical surface blend. and I just can't seem to fix it. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks
What a pain that you follow something like this click for click and different things happen. Is it a newer Rhino release? Particularly, _Surface from network of curves_ does not perform similarly when I do it. Now to find a tutorial on how to get through this tutorial.
i had that issue too, if you click "chainedges" and then "AutoChain=no" until it says "autochain=yes" it worked, at least for me. I'm a complete beginner so I don't know what it does at all, hope that helps

Find command merge surface edge before you use blend.

Problem with "merge surface" is "Can't merge trimmed edges of surfaces".
