Stumbled upon your video researching to prototype a welding helmet for industry i have my design sketched up and was wondering how to build it up in a cad program not going to lie most of what you did there I haven’t got a clue about but i will definitely be staying tuned to learn more my skill sets in another place as is yours one day i hope to have a similar knowledge as you do keep posting good video 💥

great tutorials, thanks. btw, when you're offsetting a curve without knowing how much, instead of testing different distances, you can hit T+enter for Throughpoint, and then it lets you choose the offset on screen

you're welcome. btw, you might find this offset workaround very useful for clean offset curves without a hundred redundant control points, where it matters to you. discourse.mcneel.com/t/video-offset-curve-dave-hack/18349

Can we render the models in pc without graphic card?

Hi! at minute 14, you are creating a blend with 2 surfaces. I can't seem to do that because it says my planer surface is open. It shows that 1 quarter of the plane is disconnected from the rest. Why is that?
    Thanks a lot

I had to click on Chain Edges and select all the curve sections individually. Annoying and fiddly, but it worked.

Sir can you help me? I want to make something for 3D Print out from Rhino 6 now. I have 2 Boxes for e.g. They have the same size. And i want to put them on each other. If i choose now export and safe it as an STL - i have a LINE between the boxes in STL. Even if i group them, i have a line between the boxes. Even if i stick the boxes together (same size) i have a line i can see in the slicer. Only if i boolish them togeher before i export, i have no Line between. Is there a way that i dont have to boolish them before i export, maybe in the setting when i safe as STL, to get rid of the lines? Thanks in advance for your help!

If you put two objects ar each other and try to print it it will not work. Slicer see it as a separate object because they are obviously separate if you did not boolean them. That line it is not line but enge of solid. If you want to print objects you need to print them next to each other not on top of each other

Thanks for your answer! Is there no way in Rhino like "export selected files" and then in options, make 1 object as STL, without boolish them before or to do it in the slicer? I have atm only the way to boolish it first before i print it from the slicer, and hopefully dont safe the file in Rhino, so that i can edit it later if it dont fit after printing. Do you know if there is a option maybe in the STL, to mark that it boolish it first what i want to export?

Great, thank you. Do you add your materials and render in Rhino or do you use different software?

When I draw a curve for the top profile of the helmet going from front to the back since the helmet os offset from the origin, the curve bend and attaches itself to the Z-Y axis plane unlike yours. Have been struggling at it since days please help.

@@Anto_81 yes try changing the setting at the bottom bar where the osnap is located. Try playing by turning on or off the project and planer buttons. Hope it helped

Do you know why I can’t create a surface from network of curves? I've been struggling with this option for two hours and I can’t find a solution...

    • @RHINOTUTORIALS
      @RHINOTUTORIALS  6 лет назад

Surface from network works the best whe lines are planar and are not made in too many directions. Try to keep it simple.

Dear, when I use the first step, the circle and two lines , and cut the half circle, and it comes to that, I could not make the surface to the planar curve or blender. I think there is some problem with it. Could you help me solve the problem? Thank you

??? My English is bad, therefore I wrote in Russian.
