- The final episode in my series. track list coming !
In my last two videos I discussed purrp’s quick rise to fame alongside asap rocky aswell as his sudden downfall after beefing with asap mob. In this video I will be exploring the next chapter of purrp’s story, discussing his hiatus period, life in atlanta, bmb crew, recent releases and return to fame.

Y ucall him a Legende
@@rotzbua69y99 he's the foundation of rap music today, everyone in the industry has bitten or fucked wit purrp at one point he's the godfather bruh
Just to add to this. Ski told Denzel he’d join the track but didn’t want to diss purrp which is why his verse isn’t direct. Also X and Purrp facetimed and were cool before X passed away
And purrp has been defending X (even if he shouldn't really) since his death. But all the XXX fans still be saying spaceghostpussy. Crazy
@@Jay-uw4bu SGP got close to crying when X passed away
About two weeks purrp was on live talking about how X didn’t to be on the diss because he knew Denzel would be cool with purrp after the dropping the track.
@@Jay-uw4bu Most XXXtentacion fans are completely stupid. For example Trippie Redd dissed X and tried to destroy his image while the media and industry were trying to destroy his career, but after he died he started acting like they were best friends and even made a tribute album to channel his fanbase, and the worst part is that it worked. Guys like 6ix9ine and Purrp had way more respect for X but his fans don't seem to care cause they were too busy replacing him with Juice Wrld and Trippie Redd
@@Jay-uw4bu They don't even know what was going on. They prolly the ones who became fans of x after he passed away. But they're really stupid and young. Talking about like 10 year olds.
Why do people trip about purrp not getting his shine, the fake get fame the real stay undergound plain and simple
Exactly, he don't even wanna blow up
I think people trip because Purrp isnt widely known for his influence like he should be.

Being in ATL during that era was lit, miss them days fr.
Real talk I'm in the D now but I was in the A when purrp hit the scene I used to love putting my niggas on him.
Since the soundcloud era, I always wondered who SGP was and why everyone in the scene hated him so much, dude had artist from coast to coast dissing him. I never realized how much this dude played a role in some major artist at one point. It seems like to me that SGP got blacked balled by the industry and and just refused to let it happen, probably why his fanbase is so loyal to him. Dude is definitely crazy, but I have respect for him just because he’s still somehow managed to come up on top
An innovator. His music defined my younger years. I’m proud to say I was able to do some small work with him, even though the song was unreleased.
skelli what was it like working with him? After watching some of his live-streams, he seems like a really negative, aggressive and sometimes ignorant ass nigga. It’s sad bc I’m actually a genuine fan of him, but he seems like such an asshole.
Are you here ? This guy has a good question 😭
@@stoneythagod7374 To me he's just the type of guy that approaches people differently based on how he feels about them. Could you do another video on Memphis scene ??
ruclips.net/video/8NMTZSA6oPY/видео.html
my homie already covered some
I need to remake it. learnt so much more from all the comments. anything u want me to talk about in particular ?
Turismo these are just ideas in general for maybe full vids or just subjects to tackle in a new Memphis video but... it would be really cool to talk about the rebirth of phonk in depth (I.e. Raider Klan, $uicideboy$). Also maybe some people who tried and failed to resurrect the genre. Or even people who are endorsed by phonk legends (I.e. Juicy J making a song with Rocky and $uicideboy$). Also people who are very true to the original formula like Baker Phonk. Lastly the new genres coming out of new school phonk like the hard-bass, and distorted lyrics that you hear pretty often on the Memphis 66.6 RUclips Radio Station.
Turismo like I said elsewhere in the comments section, HUGE fan!! Love the representation and I’d love to see more of your work in the future.
P.S. pls leave more time stamps of songs names and even beats names/ original song names when making these vids. I really liked when u did it for one of your vids.
I wanna hear about the effect of CMG & Paper Route Empire and how Memphis artists are on the rise in 20 19!
When Purrp's head is in the right place, he creates the most unique sounds and styles which cannot be duplicated by anyone else. BMB was the rebirth of Raider Klan in a sense, just not as impactful. I have been a supporter for years so I am here for the ride, regardless of what he decides to do. He does need to seek help but then again, he doesn't care about popularity.

It's unfortunate, because I started listening to hip hop when Long Live Asap came out. I only heard of SGP through hate, diss, or jokes like the Lil Shark twitter beef. I always thought he was just crazy because of his tweets. I'm glad this video cleared things up. It's a shame he'll never get the credit he deserves, I only know a few people who respect the contribution he made. I'm also glad that Bari got outed for being the lame dude he truly was.

So this isn't trap metal? Ok 👍
@Tim King what the Hell are you talking about? X made trap metal along with boom bap, traditional r&b along with alternative etc etc. He could do any genre he wanted ie trap metal hellooooooo. Besides gnarly bastard with its heavy kicking 808 and drums make it perfect. Oh and of course screaming doesn't make a track metal But this song is obviously. I've listened to many many metal bands from thrash metal to black metal and everything in-between.
X made trap metal music whether you want to accept it or not dude. He made trap metal on occasion to show his many artistic abilities
@Tim King imagine thinking imsippinteainyohood is a regular trap beat. Yeah okay sure dude.
