  • I have not yet done any of the updates that I mentioned yet, I may do a video when I do those updates and just run through the full process.

    The plasma stream is an oblong oval shape torch height could be to low or to high also plasma cutters have one side that cuts straight often the right side of torch when dragging. this camber often shows on thicker metals 1/2” I know this because I just cut a bunch of 1/2” by hand and the angle was terrible adjusted torch height and made sure to use R side of torch dragging on to piece to be used not the waste. Found great vid on this Dr D Flo mastering cnc plasma cutting good luck

    Just a few comments it looks like when you compressed some of your bolts you deformed your tubing also I have seen other builds in which they cut weight reducing holes in the tubing and axis angle piece to reduce weight which might offset the sagging of your axis..other than that great build I would suggest looking at jds tips and tricks video to help with the cuts 😁

      You are absolutely right, I was just mindlessly tightening down the plates when I noticed the tube deforming... I wonder if the motor and extra pieces for the z-axis likely make the sag a bit more noticeable, and if I didn't have it if it would be ok.
      I actually watched the video they just put out, and looks like the tip I've been using is way to big for the thickness of material, and I had my amps set a bit to high. The cuts I've been making have been ok, but I think with a few more tweaks they'll be perfect.

      have you referenced the cut speed chart in the book for your cut60?
      I run mine at 2400mm/min set at 32 amps and 55 psi for 14 gauge and it cuts beautifully.

      @@nathancole8188 I had, and in fusing 360 I had setup a bunch of different material profiles. I think one of the issues I had was that I was running a 1.0 tip when cutting thinner materials. I recently swapped to a 0.8 and am seeing much better results on the thinner materials, I also have 0.6 for when doing really thin stuff.
