wow, I wish I had seen this video before I bought my dsl20. The hum makes the fx loop unusable for me. But also I get this hum from the TwoNotes Revolt preamp pedal fx loop, so I guess it might be the power source type..

It also depends what pedal you plug into it. 🫣 Indeed the fx loop is the part that could be upgraded on the DSL20 but other than that it‘s a killer sounding amp imo! 🤘❤️

Such an obvious thing but I've never thought about throwing an OD in the loop. Will have to try this with my DSL and an SD-1. 🤘🏼

I got the BD-2W the other day and it sounds terrible through the front of the amp on the cleaner setting, will try this instead and see if its any better!

The BD-2W is a super cool pedal! I‘m pretty sure you‘ll find a good way to use it! 🤘

I don’t think you have this plugged in correctly. Try plugging guitar into the input of the pedal. Then the out of the pedal into the return of the effects loop. Done, this is how you use the pedal as a preamp, using only the power amp of the amp.
Nothing plugged into the front input of the amp, nothing plugged into the send of the effects loop…

Moin Karsten, hast Du es schon mal mit einer Batterie als Spannungsversorgung für das Effektgerät im Loop versucht ??? Auch ein besseres (anderes?) Netzteil könnte Abhilfe schaffen. rock on \m/

Moin! Im Blues Driver habe ich eine Batterie probiert. Das Netzteil hatte ich deswegen gar nicht in Verdacht, weil es bei der Batterie ebenfalls so war. Das könnte ich natürlich nochmal checken. Danke für die Idee mein bester! LG

An Eq pedal with a gain slider and volume works great in loop.

I'm using a GE-7 at the moment and couldn't be happier. A little bump at 400hz and 800hz plus a little volume push and my solos are in your face live. Love it! 🤘

Depends a bit on how prominent the hum is. A little bit is fine but it shouldn't distract you from playing.

Of course it would be an option David. But this makes the workaround even worse. I'll try to use a clean boost or Boss GE-7. Hope that will work without a noise gate. ✌️
