    Question:
So the absorption of Vit D is 100% thru the receptor?
    What about IR?
Does IR affect the receptor for Vit D?
Can Vit D be absorbed thru the door being open by insulin?
What is the definition of absorption of Vitamins or Minerals?
Can Vit D be absorbed topically thru the skin without connecting to the receptor?
    Thanks!

    • @AlbertKingboss
      @AlbertKingboss 4 года назад +3

      Hi Chad,
Vitamin D absorption is never 100% but there's a lot you can do to increase it.
As far as I know, IR doesn't affect vitamin D3 absorption.
Vitamin/mineral absorption = what amount of the nutrient you consume can be utilized by your body
I don't understand the last question but when sunshine hits your skin, your body will create vitamin D3.

Dominic Montez ...make sure it’s d3 and good reliable brand. Never take at night bc d affects melatonin production. Always take with Mk7/ K2
Both D3 and Mk7 in softgel ( processed with fat) and take with fat to make sure it’s absorbed. Check bloodwork and repeat in 6 mos. keep higher than 50 and if u stop supplements u will drop numbers quickly. Readjust after u retest (oh25 d active form of d). You should find ur maintenance dose. It improved my asthma unless I have severe allergy exposure but still better. Hope u get better. Ur dr might do genetic testing if it doesn’t stop...digestive issues prevent absorption too but genetic snp can cause issues.

I myself had(maybe still have, but all symptoms are gone and docs said that my results today look like I never had it.. but who knows..) Hashimoto. I also know many people with hashimoto who had great results with filling up their d3. I myself did it slowly with 20k daily, but I also know many who went for the hardcore method. Just heard positive things. But well, these are anecdotes. I quickly searched for d3s impact on parathyroid glands. Yes it does have an impact but I can't find any negative ones.
So again, what are you afraid of? You know, you do not have to start with insane amounts. You can start slowly and see how it makes you feel. You can increase as you feel or even better get it tested from time to time.
Also... if your doc keeps telling you something which seems weird, get second or third oppinions. And if they tell you something make them explain it to you.

Shelley Henry drs are taught that deficiency is below 30. Most just want u above and not over the toxicity level. Higher risks for cancers below 50 and when supplements stop you will lose ur level very fast. Sun is best but ppl who can’t sun supplement. Mk7/K2 100 mcg per 10k IUs. Mk7 will keep calcium deposits out of arteries and joints. So to answer both are right but staying higher is best. Bloodwork every 6 mos to adjust and find maintenance dose. Also softgels are best absorbed with fat. Also morning as d can affect melatonin production. Red heads beware they can make their own D👏 google it it’s interesting!

Lilly Pod drs typically use D2 it’s useless! D3 is best and easier to absorb. Make sure you use a really reliable brand. Mk7 form of k2. SOFTGELS are processed with fats. Taken in the morning as vitamin D can affect melatonin production***
A 100mcg of Mk7 per 10k of d3. Mk7 makes D more bioavailable and is vital to keep calcium deposits out of arteries and joints. After much research for my family we’ve had a lot of success raising our. Don’t be too alarmed I’ve known many who went over toxicity level and never had symptoms. Could be many reasons long term deficiency ? Glad he uses the sun it’s truly best! Supplements can raise u too high but the sun doesn’t. Together it obviously is still helping. We have set a schedule of testing every 6 mos. I think active is OH 25 D test??? Way to go tho! I’ve had family and friends struggle for yrs with low D

Mk-4 for bones and blood vessel calcification...

    • @seasands3486

Both MK4 and MK7 are promoted for bone health. So which is better for bone health? The most important risk with osteoporosis is breaking a bone. Most people seem to focus on their bone density test results, but a bone density scan only predicts 44% of women who will fracture and only 21% of men. The most important thing in evaluating which nutrient in an osteoporosis supplement is better is to ask the question, “Which nutrient has been shown in clinical trials to reduce fracture?
For reducing fractures, the research overwhelming supports the MK4 form of vitamin K2 in the dose of 45 mg/day. Only MK4 has demonstrated the ability to decrease fractures, the most relevant end point in randomized, controlled clinical trials. MK7 has never been shown in any studies to reduce fractures. The US National Library of Medicine’s Pubmed database, the definitive clinical research database in the country, only lists 5 clinical trials that studied the effect of MK7 on bone health in people with osteoporosis, and none of those studies evaluated MK7’s ability to reduce fractures as a study outcome.
In contrast, the benefits of MK4 for bone health in people with osteoporosis have been studied in 28 human clinical trials with more than 7,000 people. Not only have researchers repeatedly concluded that MK4 improves bone laboratory markers and bone density, but seven clinical trials specifically evaluated MK4’s ability to reduce fractures.
MK4 (45 mg/day) has been so well researched that since 1995 it’s been approved by the Japanese Ministry of Health for the treatment of osteoporosis and bone pain caused by osteoporosis. In the US, MK4 has not been approved as a medication to treat or cure disease, and is instead available as a dietary supplement to naturally promote your health.
Multiple clinical trials using 45 mg per day of MK4 show that this amount, and only this amount, of MK4 taken daily may decrease fractures more than 80%. MK4 has also been cited as a potential strategy for drug-induced bone loss. In clinical trials MK4 (45 mg daily) prevented bone loss and/or fractures caused by:
      Article at-a-glance:
Bone fracture is the most painful and dangerous risk for people with osteoporosis.
MK4 and MK7 are both forms of natural vitamin K2.
MK4 stops and reverse bone loss, grows stronger bones and reduces fractures more than 80%.
MK7 has never been shown to reduce fractures.
The use of MK4 is supported by more than 28 clinical trials with over 7000 volunteers.
This is from Nbi Health. You can google full article and studies on Google. I have done extensive research because of bone vertebral fractures from rolling over in bed. For me the CLINICAL TRIALS spoke volumes. Furthermore, not all Mk7 and Mk4 are created equally. Innovix Labs has created a combination of both Mk 4 having more mcg than the Mk 7. They did extensive research to provide the highest quality of both. In one month I can feel a huge difference. Emotionally and physically. For 90 gel caps it was $20 shipping is free. I hope this helps.

Informed me of this remedy to heal my knees and sore hips! He my brother only said if I get any diarrhea then come off one of the flax seed capsules... Which I did get the diarrhea... But adjusted the flax seed accordingly.. I had taken 1 teaspoon of Carlson Norwegian Cod Liver oil in the morning! Then 3 Flax Seed Capsule 3 X a day.. Morning , Noon, after Nite! Only purchased Flax Seed that have been stored in a cold refrig at the vitamin stores. Or it will be no good it will become fermented ( no good).
Arthritis can not live in a body, that has good amount of fish oil and flax seed oil in it! I came out of those uncomfortable leg braces in 2 weeks time and have never gone back! Pain free movement free! Thank You brother !

This is decent info, buuuuut... maybe start first with common mistakes like...
do you actually absorb the d3?!
Seen many people who just randomly take the drops or pills on empty stomach in the morning. Often heavily diluted by morning drinks. They took up to 20k daily and after months their d3 level still didn't increase.. just because they didn't take it with the correct conditions.
Another reason would be lacking something else whats workimg with the d3. This was the case for me. Sure, I did feel significant effects before but once I started focussing on magnesium I suddenly got all the other effects from d3.
Once you definitly have excluded the most common mistakes you can start thinking about additional tests.

Is vitamin D toxic at high levels?- I read the upper daily limit is 4000IU

    • @j11994466s
      @j11994466s 4 года назад +4

Vitamin D toxity is dependent on the levels in your blood. The units of measurements are nano-grams per Milli-liter (ng/ml). While the medical community says that 20-50 is a good level to have, alternate health professionals say that 80 is an optimum level. 250 is considered to be a toxic level. I personally have maintained a level of about 150 by taking 30,000 IU daily to remain completely free off viral infections. At this level, I also take 800 mg of Mg, 100 g of potassium, 50 mg of Zn and 10 mcg of vitamin K2-MK7.

Exercise and enough protein and calories. 18-year-old men who go to boot camp often come home an inch or even two inches taller after just 6 weeks in the army. Not enough exercise or stringent dieting, or a bad diet, keeps both men and women from achieving their optimal height. The Dutch are now the tallest people in the world; their average height has increased several inches in the last couple of decades. Their diet is very healthy and they get lots of exercise.
