This is just so good. We went to a winter track a few weeks ago, and that's so much fun - if you didn't try it yet, put it on your bucket list. RWD or AWD....heck, even FWD car and you will have loads of fun. Also, Hagerty production quality is just awesome. Love the widescreen format!
Had a smile on my face from start to finish. The collection of cars itself was amazing, and that they thrashed these on snow! It looked really fun. And the drone footage was spectacular. Very enjoyable.
Yeah, you can't go - you have to be invited. Your bank account must have minimum 7 zeros in it. Basically, these guys all know each other. Zwart, Leh Keen, it's all their buddies. Did you not see the dogs? Those things live better than you and I do, I promise.
I learned to drive in the early 60’s, on the ice in my dad’s 1957 Opel Rekord. We used to drive out on the Lake Mälaren, Swedens largest lake, just about all winters but sadly these days it’s rare that the ice gets thick enough to make this safe.
Wow, how I would LOVE to make it to the next F.A.T. Ice Race in Aspen, and oh, that Audi Quattro Sport!!! I loved that as a young man in the 80's, piloted by "der schwarze Vulkan" Michele Mouton- what a force of nature she was in Group B!
The Audi Quattro Sport: the worst race car in (manufacturer team) history, with the most embarrassing results ever. For a reason: the car is an absolute disgrace and contrary to *_all_* the best principles of car design. Yeah, its (heavy) engine (which is placed in exactly the *_worst possible_* place ruining the whole car) makes a pretty nice noise which makes excited children excited, but that's hardly a reason to start praising the car.
I wish they would have sold spectator tickets. I live 40 minutes away and this would have been an awesome way to spend the day, but there is a lot of gatekeeping of entertainment in this area. It sounds like Porsche and the organizers wanted a bigger event with cheaper tickets, but the government wouldn't allow it :/ We hope you come back next year and get those spectator seats!!!
@@LnDSuv The E-Ray has power and torque at street speeds, and it has roughly the gas milage of the Stingray, making it great for road trips. If I was a track hound, I'd go Z06 for sure! But I'm not...
*ASPEN* I'm talkin' about a place where the beer flows like wine, where the women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talkin' about Aspen.
where is Jason, Wanna learn how to drift go in the back roads of Quebec, on studless winter continentals.. Narower tires.. wohooooooooooooo.. Ohh and my new weapon of choice a 4 wd golf wagon.. drifting on wide tires is easy on snow, moving at speed and drifting requires narow soft rubber shoes.. sorry i repeat where is Jason..
The long explanation by Dindo is what all real drivers experience when they first sit in an Audi: "My lord this car is absolute junk, its dynamics are the worst in all of the history of car world", but he just had to say it in a more 'diplomatic' manner because he's being paid by the criminal corporation who makes their money from selling such junk cars by the millions and thus filling the world with horrible, junk cars with soul-crushing understeer and the worst possible dynamics.
Does the filming crew think super wide aspect works for youtube? Not for me that's for sure, it certainly doesn't make for good viewing. And that box in box section was even worse. Henry, get a grip!!
I dunno, all theese rare wonderful cars, and then put them on ice?... To me it seems a bit of a waste. Yeeees, I'd bet drifting a supercar on the ice is cool and all, but so is drifting virtually *any* car with rear wheel drive and decent handling. Why not put the cars somewhere where they fit better?
Catchpole just introduced a class to hagerty. It’s funny now there is this sense of respect I have for them since Henry.
I have to say: mad respect for Henry to get in cars he's never driven before and drift them on a snow course. Well done! 😎🤘

I can’t believe no one is talking about Henry’s juggling skills at 2:37 😂
Glorious. And respect to Porsche for bringing and running the Le Mans car.
More please!
Love it casually chatting to Henry while drifting about.. beautiful cars.. 😎🙏👊👍✌🇬🇧
Tuerck is the absolute GOAT! I still think about that Supra build! The Stout kicks some serious ass too though

Coming from Canada, all those amazing cars in the snow and ice makes me smile. Even I could tear up that track in any car, eh, lol.
Best automobile presenter on RUclips
Awesome to see the FAT ice race, North American debut looking like a huge success!
That was cool to see Ryan let Henry drive one of his baby's too.
Never heard of this before but now I need to go. This is wicked, awesome collection of cars there
to participate you must have a "curated car"
@matthewschiebout7384 what does that mean,lol
@matthewschiebout7384 even if u have a porsche ,? U can't just sign up ,? U have to be chosen

Vicariously living the dream through this channel that custom Toyota stout drift beast looks so cool 😎
So, so much YES to this one - easily the best footage I've found of this bucket list event, thanks!
This made me happy. So many interesting cars, including an 037 Stradale!
Looks about as much fun as you can have with your trousers on! Nice!
This looks like such a great event wauw! Great camera work and very interesting interviews in between. Props to you guys loved this video
That Race Truck 🔥🔥
This was such a great vid. Thanks Hagerty
You didn't even mention the 959 at 6:18. Now that is suited to this environment.
Look up the international ice racing association (IIRA) .... we put on events for wheel to wheel to autocross and everything inbetween on ice.
I was waiting the whole video for you to talk about Ryan's Judd Supra, it is a show stopper when the Judd V10 goes around the track.

Tickets were around $1900

Can't believe there is a f*cking 911 GT1 doing this! Nuts! 😍😍 That must have been tons of fun for everybody on the track...
Totally - about as pointless as the CGT being there. But when you've got as much FU money as Porsche does these days, why not?
Not to mention the 3 RUFs at the 5:56 mark and Henry didn't even mention the 959 in the paddock at the 6:13 mark!
Wow, that 356 is stunning!
That is a huge turnout of some amazing Porsche cars wow C4 LTW GT1 Lemans winning # 26 car
This is a big time event.
lovely that henry drove ryan tuercks stout!
Wonderful coverage!!
what a neat eclectic collection of cars
Thoroughly enjoyed this !
Henry's tall enough to do the excited youtuber jump pose without leaving the ground
I think the Toyota truck was my favorite vehicle.
Flashback to that time Ryan Tuerck taught us all to drift FWD cars on lunch trays
Were there not 6 Keen Project 911’s there too?
Go Ryan!
really hope you guys will cover some more, love the content
Drifting brings a similar pleasure to skiing.
Now that's a thumbnail that says: this isn't even my full wingspan!
Love this!
I'd love to go there and drift 😂
Haha you can see me at 6:20 looking confused as hell. I knew I recognized the host from somewhere. Good to see the finished project!
A great event! It reminds me of the Monterey Historics, where classic cars aren't there just to look pretty, they're there to be *driven*.
Love that truck.
GT7 : updates spec 2
Hagerty : And we took that personality
Those are beautiful vehicles
Hellyeah freaking awesomeness
Toyota stout! ❤
Perfection. This is now on my bucket list, alongside Goodwood 🤌🏻

If tickets weren't an eye-watering $1,911 USD, I'd have been there for sure; It's just a few hours from me in Colorado Springs. Maybe next year...
Agreed I live hour from where this was I didn’t find out about it til the Sunday after it happened but what a great turnout
Good o'l Colorado!
The ERAY is easily becoming my favorite iteration of the C8 so far
Why do you like it more than Z06?
@@LnDSuv It's more usable in real world situation such as snow with its AWD

Ooof. Thats a bummer.
Ngl, I love Henry Catchpole but the thumbnail is nightmare fuel
Ice 🧊 ⛸️ 🍧 Ice Baby ❄️☃️
Well they're definitely not drifting like this in the snow in Tokyo😏
I saw some high schoolers doing this in Minnesota. Hilarious.

Audi 90 imsa gto, was it only on display?
im guessing some of the"faster" cars needed quite a few edit cuts to hide the fact they were going about 30mph
Really wanted to go but I guess they only wanted wealthy people there at $1911 per ticket!
Name a better combo than rwd + snow tires
Odd, not a single Subaru to be seen.
Didn't know you could juggle.
How tf did hoonigan not show us this first?
Wow when jeff svort idk how it's spelt but his voice then the peggassis Flys by in the background he sounds just like Ken Block like exactly😢 43forver
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
i will buy tuerck's truck even if its 1 mill right now
Man, these rich people have some nice ideas....
nice....
Id love to see how a winged sprint car stacks up against all these other machines.
Coolest car event... we see what you did there 😄 For this sort of driving the last thing you want is a stupid not round steering wheel like the E-ray.
neat

I can’t decide….great fun or horrific abuse…🤔
Poor Henry having to drive the least cool cars out there while I'm sure salivating over so many icons.
I just think it’s neat that he was able to experience and report about it! Thanks @Henry!
