  • Where Do We Go From Here? It's a question I've been asking myself - we all have - since this outbreak breakdown began. Take out the question mark, and it's also the title of an EP I've been playing repeatedly by the band Michigander since it came out last year. Michigander is the music project by Kalamazoo singer/songwriter Jason Singer and since he and his band dropped their debut single "Nineties" in 2016 and a 2018 Midland debut EP, they've been praised by just about everyone (perhaps even your grandmother) for their authentic rock vibes and deeply-felt lyrics. "Misery," in particular," off of the WDWGFH EP received and is still receiving considerable play on alt-rock stations and streaming services.
Earlier this month, I caught up with Singer and asked him how he's been doing during lockdown, what he's been up to, and when we can expect new music from him and and his band - luckily it's soon. I also discussed how it felt for him to play with his band for the first time - albeit remotely - since the world went on crazy pills with the charity-single release of "Reds (Live From Home)." He played that track on A-Sides as well. Watch it now you will.
