Consider changing that Eb half diminished chord to a C minor 6 in that progression you were doing around the 3 minute mark. You may like the way it sounds better.
Cause idk I tried it out and I couldn't voice the e flat half diminished (yeah sorry I was Eb not e haha) and I couldn't get the same sound that you got out of that chord but idk I think the c-6 resolves to the G better but idk that's just me.
It's actually a Eb dim7 not Eb half dim7. You could also think of it as a Cdim7/Eb (Which is really how I think of it because it's basically like a iv chord). I totally agree that a Cmin6 would sound great too. Those two chords to me are pretty close. You either have a G or an F#. I liked the way the fully diminished chord pulls to the Gmaj. F# leads to G, Eb to the D, C to B, and A to G. But again, both chords are just as juicy. Fun fact: Cmin6 is the same chord as an A half dim7/C, just depends on how you think about it.
These are definitely some of your best videos. Please keep these going!!
yea keep these. some of my favorite videos. easy to understand and super important
God, this is so brilliant.
In sleepy tea by chon there is a sweet transition from a D6(no 3rd) to an F#9 in the intro
You should talk about secondary dominants in the next video
