Backpacking Across Santa Cruz Island

In February of 2024, we jumped straight from the deserts of Joshua Tree to the coast of Channel Islands National Park. We had big goals to try to finish the island of Santa Cruz and with 45 miles under our belts, we did! We backpacked from Prisoners Harbor to Scorpion Ranch, did loops around the Navy Road, and did side trips to Chinese Harbor, China Pines, Smugglers Cove, and Yellowbanks. It was a ton of mileage with a ton of climbing, but also endless views and memories. Next up, we've got to figure out Santa Rosa and San Miguel islands.
