BT squad from 2007 here my boi.
I remember back then I was dumb and for some reason I thought you were from Quebec Canada because you said "excuse my french" one time on Favela on MW2 I think that was around 2009/2010 maybe. But back then I was ass at the game, I've never had the best aim, even now, so many players are better than me. in 2013 I started my own pro team, in 2014 we won our first regionals, in 2015 we played in a national, in 2017 I took an entire year off living abroad. In 2018/2019 they franchised and I lost my chance at making money. In Black ops 3 we randomly matched on Combine FFA, I beat you by 3 kills trying to get diamond on my Vesper, my gamertag was Lifeline Raven, we bonded over that I became a regular in your stream we played a ton, I was in your video when you covered the Siren's song, that was my blade you picked up and it made me truly happy to be able to share that moment with you.
The reason I made it as far as I did, is because you were there, thank you BT seriously. You changed my life for the better.
The state of CoD is sad, but know that you did the community good, my friend, you truly and honestly did.

*The fact that we haven’t had a good Call Of Duty since Black Ops 3 (2015) is out of this world it’s 2023 now. Cod should be flawless, 100% complete at launch, good maps, good kill streaks, simple UI, prestige system & NO SBMM.*

Mix that with statistics that are biased and inaccurate because the results seem to always be beneficial to a few $$$. Given the symptoms of ADHD, how can someone with ADHD even manage to play a game for hours and win? It seems the stigma is the problem. It's so tiring being a gamer nowadays. I'm literally watching every single favorite game of mine being either abandoned, turning into a trash, or being made into a fortnite clone with no semblance of the personality and individuality it used to have. Some days I just sit and just stare at my steam games list and never touch any of them because I'm so burnt out from repeated disappointment to disappointment. I love games so fucking much and I'm still here to this day because of the games I played, and now I've been searching for another hobby because games no longer strike that chord with me anymore. There are a few bangers coming in the next couple years that I'm really looking forward to, but I seriously hope there's a return to form because I'm just not sure how much longer I can keep going with this. Man I 100% relate to your college experience. I've got autism and ADHD, but I did quite well at school, even giving the graduation speech for my class. However, when I went to college, both the class times and the extreme overall lack of structure killed me, plus my roommate snoring loudly kept me awake. I started ditching classes, and then after 3 months dropped out completely and lived with my parents. I tried and failed several times at community college, and throughout it all just felt a lack of purpose and fell into depression, adding another pill to what I already took for my ADHD. Ended up getting a retail job and my overall mood improved greatly, but then in 2020 my family moved out of California to a different state, and since the best minimum wage can get you in Cali is a waterproof box in a prime spot next to the McDonald's, I had to move with them. Once again I fell into depression, bouncing between jobs and either losing them or quitting them because the management were absolute cunts (constantly changing the schedule without telling anyone, ignoring days off that they agreed to give me when I was hired, etc.) Easily the darkest parts of my life. Last year though I got an advertisement for a trade school doing an Aviation Technician course, and applied. Not long after I was accepted, had a start date, and a move-in date for my dorm. My parents and especially my grandfather, who was in the Air Force in the Korean War as a navigator on a B-26 Invader, were extremely proud and my grandfather in particular was the most excited. Promised him I'd come home every weekend to tell him how things were going and what I was learning, but he unfortunately passed away on my second day of class. Had to give him an update on how things were going at his wake, and his funeral was on the test day of one of my classes. Despite this though, I've now been at this school for a full year, and have completed 2 out of the 3 courses with my lowest grades being two Bs, and am close to getting my first license. Haven't needed to take any of my meds for the same amount of time because I'm much less depressed and able to focus on the material at hand (for the most part). I may be new to this channel, and I care very little for the newer CoDs (The last one I bought was MW2019), but I'm definitely going to stick around. Best of luck to you and your youtube career, and I hope that we get a Call of Duty worth playing again soon.

I was like, alright, I’ll just use the munition box thing. Nope… not even an option during the game. No circle at the bottom right of my screen. Nothing to use LB+RB. This is RIDICULOUS. I've got more than ADHD going on, so it's not just that, but regardless, doing the normal job thing, its sucking the life out of me, and I feel almost unable to manage any of it successfully, my brain shuts off and tunes out because none of it grabs my attention no matter what I try. I don't even know how I graduated. Then, college. Then I slowly spiraled out of control having no clue what I was doing. And truly, I don't know how I am still alive. Failed all my classes. Stayed in my room 24/7 drinking myself into oblivion. It really is nice to know that someone has had a similar experience that I did. I'm also very closed off and introverted. But a friend I had hooked me up with a sales job he was doing too and turned out I could do it. It took so long to learn how to talk to people like I can do now. I still struggle sometimes, but literally as soon as I see you upload a video I watch immediately. I grew up on call of duty. They were my favorite games. They shaped my childhood. It actually makes me so sad to see what it has come to. Every night me and my best friend hop on and try to play thinking it'll be different. I had the same school experience as you did BT. Part of me doing poorly in highschool was my mom passing away when I was a sophomore, but I think it just made the problem worse. I didn't even try in math anymore and my Algebra teacher, after coming in late to take a final I originally didn't show up for and was the only one in the room with him, told me if I at least attempted the test, he'd give me a passing grade no matter what, after I straight up told him "I have no idea what I'm doing, and I can't take this test." I barely passed highschool, and did well in the classes I was interested in. English and History. Now, I'm taking college courses for a degree that will get me into a career that I think I'll like since it's an interest I've had for years. But my interests in things come and go and rarely do I stick with them like video games or for the past 10 years, D&D. This last month has been hell in terms of my desire to do anything. I just don't care about my classes anymore, and even playing games sometimes or watching a show I'm interested in just doesn't do it for me anymore. Part of it is because I'm so close to going home after being away on deployment for the past 7-8 months, but in terms of school, I just don't care anymore. I'd rather go home, get a house with my girlfriend that I plan on proposing to, and continue working my job that I had before I left.
All this to say, I've been watching your content for years and I stick around for you, no matter what you upload. I just like hearing you talk about shit, whether it's screaming about being stuck in MWIII, or talking about why CoD means so much to you. I'm sad CoD has come to this, and I can only hope it gets better. But for a long time now it's clear what Activision wants.

I have zero idea still in my second year what I want to do with my life, I haven’t really even met a single soul from my college (mostly hate attention and anything related to crowds and being the centre of attention). This is my first time in school ever where I actually dropped the ball. I have dropped a few classes because I just could not have any focus and now I gotta pay the price later by having to do it again. Anyways, I don’t take pills because I think it’s just a bandaid fix where as my friend who also has ADHD takes them and they don’t seem to work well. I am always confused on how to even fix myself and use it to my advantage to get out of my comfort zone. I almost feel like a failure in many ways even though it’s not 100% my fault.

Damn I relate heavily to that beginning. I was an honors student up until high-school. Then all of the sudden I just didn't wanna go to school. This was even before smoking any weed, and once that happened it was even worse lol. Basically the exact same thing happened with my graduation. I took an automovite class, and my teacher was THE man. RIP Dan Mcnaughton, AKA Dad Mcnaughton (dude was like a father figure to us. So we jokingly called him Dad #2).
Even with my dumb ass skipping all the time, he knew I cared about automotive. He was the sole reason I passed. I'll never forget our class trip to the Detroit auto show. Dude took us to a redwings game out of his own pocket too. He later committed the S word (can't trigger RUclips) after we graduated, and nobody could believe it.
Honestly it was teachers like him (and my parents) that kept me from fully dropping out.

Hey Anthony, been a long time fan and never knew that you struggled with ADHD. Thanks for sharing your story.
As someone that just recently graduated medical school, I completely respect and understand your decision to not be medicated and to “not take the easy fix”. However, I would advise having an open conversation with your doctor to confirm if you truly are diagnosed with ADHD and discuss the pros and cons of being medicated if you haven’t done so already. You may gain a new perspective and most patients find that the medications just allow them to perform at their true baseline. If your doctor agrees, keep in mind you can always try them out for a bit, see how they make you feel, and stop the meds at any point.
At the end of the day, everyone’s different and the final decision will always be yours so I encourage you to do whatever you think is best for you!

The direction the franchise has gone is nowhere near what I expected at all. Season 1 dropped on the 6th. Today is the 12th. I haven’t touched it cause I’m waiting for some of the bugs to get fixed and the fact that I have to do that to have somewhat of a good MP experience is wild.

I’m really glad you found a way to focus and make something you love into a job man. For me it’s music, playing guitar but I don’t know how to make it into a career lol. My favourite gun in cod4 was the M4A1 with the ACOG. It was ass but made me feel like a real soldier lol. I used to play cod and stay up all night with my buddy at his house. My mom never let me have cod at my house so even when my buddy went to sleep I’d stay up and play all night so I could get as much as possible because it was so fun lmao. On top of all of this I was fucking ASS at the game. Always went negative and was dead last on the leaderboards but I wanted to get better and eventually I did a little. Cod4 was my first cod game. I hate what cod has become. This is the first Modern Warfare game I haven’t bought. I’m with you man. We’re all with you here. I can relate to the ADHD brother, I’ve been struggling with it myself my whole life as well. Our brains are just wired differently man. And I think tbh you were one of the first call of duty RUclipsrs I was introduced too back on COD4MW, MW2+3 ( the original titles, may I add) and black ops 1+2. You’re a call of duty legend man. Too bad COD lost the legendary title awhile ago, I’ve played the original titles as of recently, and it’s by far better than the newest titles. Only thing better about these newer titles is they look “pretty” 😂. Graphics, and gunplay, and a few new mechanics introduced to the formula of the game that has been the only things that have “improved”. I haven’t bought the new MW3 either, and I literally have played every call of duty from COD4, up to the new MW2 “reboot” ( with the exception of vanguard, I absolutely refused to play that dumpster fire ), I just have no interest in any new call of duty anymore, and that’s coming from a life long call of duty fan of 20 years.. I would rather play the original titles for the “nostalgia “ and the sheer better enjoyment all the way around for the campaigns, and even MP offline. ( due too servers being absolute graveyard’s ). I digress, the original titles are still leagues better compared too these modern “throw together’s”. The original games had more thought put into them, as well as a dev team actually passionate about working on developing the game.( instead of focusing on bundles, and micro transactions) Back when the devs actually gave a shit, and listened, and didn’t have an AI do their job’s for them. Anyway BT, I wish you the best, and I hope your Xmas holiday is amazing brother!! Stay true, we all got you!!

But regardless feel you on the majority of what you said. Im currently 15 and have probably been gaming since i was like 6 or 7 and i know that definitely isnt as long as you or some other people here but it holds a special place in my heart even though im not that great. But Im going through a point in my life where i dont know what to do now or what to do in the future and it feels like ive wasted the 15 years ive been here not really doing anything productive. Ive struggled with motivation issues for a good long while as well as self confidence, image, and all that fun stuff. Never really felt depressed or doing self harm thankfully so i actually feel pretty fortunate compared to some people and i cant imagine what thats like daily. I know i probably over shared or talked and i apologize for that. But all of this is to say thank you BT for being passionate about CoD and trying to push a more fun enjoyable experience for not just you but everyone. Your commentaries are always poignant and entertaining and you have always had regular guys like me in your best interest. It’s sad to see where call of duty is these days as I’m sure like you some of the best memories we’re playing cod in the 2010s. Thank you for holding these companies and devs accountable and always fighting the good fight. I value your opinion over any other COD RUclipsr as I you have the creds to back up everything you say. I’m still playing call of duty everyday and I think I always will but I respect you for standing your ground on this one!

good vid. im the same way brother, adhd and choose to be unmedicated to deal with it and learn from it. i started on cod4 as well, my buddy had cancer and couldnt do much but we gamed every day until the day he passed around OG MW2. i took years off cod after that and i shouldnt have. i came back to cod when warzone came out and was shocked at what cod had become it was so sad. i came back to cheesy bullshit movement and insane aim assist, you dont even have to know how to aim now. and the cheaters, omg its so bad it seems like everyone has at least a cronus. ultimately i blame the big streamers and their simps who have the ear of activision, they absolutely ruined online mulitplayer games.
anyways i switched to mouse and keyboard 2 years ago because i was so bored on controller. you should try a few matches of cod on mnk, its way more satisfying imo and i shred lil controller timmies in 1.5+kd lobbies without reverse boosting, it brought a little bit of passion back to cod for me.

    Hearing your story...
I identify myself so much... I always had problems with learning in school. I'm Brazilian, so we learn portuguese from a young age. Since 6th grade, i simply couldn't read the homework anymore. it was extremely tedious and stressful trying to do it. I tried really hard, but a couple of hours later and i dropped. I got distracted, i did this, that, and usually made no progress.
It was terrible for me, even worse that i was 2 years ahead of what i should be (i skipped 1st grade, because here in Brazil it's used to teach how to read and write, and also used to teach how to do basic mathematics.)
I will say, if i wasn't what some people call "A prodigy" i would probably repeat at least 3 times in highschool.
I've clutched so many years into receiving enough points so my teachers could round up my final grades into the minimum to pass... All of that while doing 0 homework because i couldn't endure making any homework. And to this day, now i'm at University... I can't do shit. I already dropped Software engineering. Will try Chemistry. One of the few things i liked in school (With math). Grammar, while boring, was made fun by my teacher so i had ok grades in there too. If i did homework, i would probably be the best in my class, but i mean, i simply couldn't do it...
If i were to describe ADHD, i would describe as a Handicap. It literally blocks a person's potential.
    [Edit]
Also, i have a high suspicion that i have ADHD. It's always heartwarming to me to discover that people felt the same as me in school, and that it wasn't just me suffering through it. I played a lot of cod before, after BO4 i simply cant buy it anymore. Not without looking through multiple gameplays to see if i will like it.
    [Edit 2]
Apparently i've looked to one of my favorite youtubers... He went from 200~300k views to 50~70k. His only video who outperformed (120k) was one where he played every black ops...

BT…the first 3:33 mins (because that’s when I stopped to make this comment ) of this video that you took to tell us about yourself genuinely scared and amazed me. Not because you went to college or because you have ADHD no those were cool. What scared me was the fact that you describe not only yourself but ME ALSO! As far as I could remember I’ve ALWAYS hated being in crowds. So much so that I don’t even go to concerts or parties anymore like it makes me feel STUCK(joke) or rather like I’m claustrophobic even though it’s an a open space. When I had my therapist she tried to put me on pills for my ADD/ADHD and my response was no and my reasoning was similar to the one you described here. In elementary and about half of middle school I was a straight A student and then all of a sudden in my 8th grade year I just couldn’t focus. If it wasn’t interesting or the if it was something that wasn’t really “challenging”me then I could not focus on it to save my life. I didn’t necessarily hate group projects but it was obvious that I always did my best whenever I worked alone. I graduated hs with like a 3.2 GPA (advanced classes kinda f’ed the gpa so in reality it was probably like a 2.1 or something idk) and despite applying and being accepted to may colleges….I didn’t attend a single one. But hey! Here I Am in a moving truck traveling the country and improving my photography

So many people oftentimes do not understand that anger often comes from a place of passion. The anger is inspired by wanting things to be better. Way too many people these days are complacent, happy with the status quo despite things getting worse. We see this in almost everything now, gaming especially. It is better to be angry and passionate about things getting worse than it is to be happy and complacent with things not getting better.
