Nice to see someone covering this book. Sub-Mariner is one of my top favorite characters and it was largely due to this volume and this run for him becoming a favorite. In many ways this entire volume was a series of different takes on Namor, Byrne providing a different story than had been told with the character and Jae Lee showcasing the character artistically like Namor had never appeared before. Underrated indeed, Marvel at least seems to know the quality of this book as they printed a few trades of it and then this omnibus. Great stuff in my opinion. If only current Marvel could write a decent story with him today...
I agree, this book and run in general seems to go under the radar for a lot of people but it's a lot of fun overall and I'd say a great starting point for anyone interested in reading any Namor comics
@@TheComicBookTrove Personally, I feel Namor is one of Marvel's best characters and he should be as he was their first major character. I wish Marvel would treat him better nowadays. I'm currently going through and reading Namor's volume from the 60s and 70s (I'm on issue #64 at the moment) and am really enjoying it!
Great video. I couldn't get the Omnibus when it was realased, so I look other options and it was from Panini Spain, where I got a nice "limited edition" for the parte draw by John Byrne that really worked for me, fue the art of Jae Lee was not good for me, but now, whith your review I am considering un getting the second part. Thank You. Regards.
@@TheComicBookTrove Yes. It is a Hard Cover but it runs only up to #18 (I look for it yesterday). But it is already released a second volume with the continuation of the story. Best Regards.

Can’t wait to see you blow up! You deserve at least 1M!
I'm just happy doing what I'm doing, I don't expect I'll become a 'big' channel but I really appreciate the support!
Enjoyed your review, thanks for posting. This is a beautiful book indeed, glad you shared this great art with the rest of us.

It's cool you were able to get the Byrne part of the run, is the Panini edition a hardcover?

Out of curiosity, what tripod/mount do you use to film your videos?
It's an AIXPI ring light tripod, nothing fancy!
Gotcha, appreciate it. And thanks for all the overviews, they’ve been instrumental in quite a few of my purchasing decisions 😋
I'm glad I've been able to help!
