What a lot of people don't know about Rogan is he didn't even start boxing til he was 29. He actually had decent skills and good aggression. If he'd had an earlier start and took it a bit more serious, he actually could've gotten to world level.
The experience ain't there and shows, all the great fighters start young and the like of Joshua started at 18 years old the tools ain't there and learning at the top
That waist protector or whatever it was, was way too high on Fury.....about up to the bottom of his rib cage. Even if you got a body shot in on Fury, he would have been protected (a bit) by the padding. Don't see how they let that go on for the entire fight. Not at all saying that is the reason Tyson won......just pointing out the protector was way high on him
The commentators were distracted by the enthusiasm of the crowd and missed what was happening until they overheard the corner after the 4th... seems to happen a lot these days. Fury baited him, gave him enough rope to make him reckless. You could see Fury letting him hit his arms very clearly in the mid-4th - Tyson practically tells him to at one point haha. Rogan acknowledged as much after the fight, he actually admired Fury's clever tactics to draw him in. Also - Rogan getting up after those body shots is the definition of tough. Anyone who's ever taken one of those shots felt them with him haha.
I always remember Rogan's interview after the fight, he said ' I was supposed to be old-manning him and showing him old fashioned tricks of the game...not the other way around, he tricked me into being in the exact position he wanted me in for the final body shot" something on those lines anyway

Haye was also put down by a Cruiserweight and saved by the bell in his fight v Mormeck. Haye also forgot to say he,himself, had been put down by a 40 year old Middleweight in Carl Thompson.

Commentators had no idea what Fury was doing lol. He was holding back, and accurately landing punches while the other guy exhausted himself while missing his. You think one of them would realize what was happening.
This. He was downloading the entire first round. Threw slow and weak jabs to adjust Rogan to that pace. Put the pressure on him the second round to see if Rogan's game changed. It didn't, not much. So then Fury finally put it on him a little, used his actual speed, and immediately knocked him down. 5th round was the first time Peter told him to put it on Rogan a little, and he immediately washed him.
Fury showed rogan the first 2 rounds thst he couod do nothing and rogan wouldn't land a punch. He then showed him if he puts it on him he can hurt him easily. Watching the old fights shows he's always been good natural talent
17 stone 8lb or there about does seem the perfect weight for Fury. Its big enough to lean on when necessary and light enough to move around a lot better.
Nobody can from an heavyweight constantly that's one of the reasons why I couldn't get my head round people thinking wilder would beat him he's always got a punchers chance but to make the one shot less affective either move away from it or ride it like fury did brilliantly in the first fight but also being aggressive controlling the distance staying right in front of a puncher is also as affective as long as you keep them backing up do there off balance and haven't got any distance to throw a power shot I always thought if someone could back wilder up keeping a jab in his face and off balance then he's poor because he can't adjust molina shown the way to beat him years ago its just being clever enough knowing not to punch when he's stepping backwards onto the ropes with a wide stance or trying to back him up with single shots without any head movement or quick feet to either step back and make him miss or move off to the side so he can't set his feet I actually can't believe people thought he had a chance against fury tbh he is far too skilled and quick to just get caught with one massive right hand especially when he dosent even set it up it's as obvious as someone having a big power shot on a punch machine lok
Notice Fury talking to Rogan when they're clinching up in Round 2? Like Fury is legitimately talking to him there, not just a hey nice shot or whatever, but an actual conversation. Continues to hold him on the ropes just to get done whatever it is he wanted to say. Rogan was paid to take a dive. Looks over at his corner when there's a minute to go in Round 5 just to make sure it's time. Lets Fury tag him a couple so it looks good. Embarrassing. But to be expected from gypsies associated with guys like Kinahan.
Mad night. I was sat right beside where a group of 5 lads from the 'nomadic' Community started killing eachother. If you look at the background at the end of round 5 you can see the crowd all look over at the brawl. I got so caught up in that i missed rogan's knockdown and the fight was over!!! There were a lot of rumours tat this fight was fixed. Even chisora said it was rigged. Anybody hear that?
The commentary for the first 3 rounds was terrible rogan only landed 2 or 3 punches everything else was on the gloves fury boxed his head off commentator's ruin the fight fury schooled him left handed
See Dubois, that's a body shot. Not some illegal blow aiming for his crotch and hitting his bladder. Just a normal shot aimed and landed above the beltline
there's easier ways to take dives than getting the body punched off you, those were heavy, hard shots to an aging fighter even before the last one which was a gut buster. If he was going to dive why not just stay down on the first knockdown??

Yes. Great tosee these fights!
This is Furys best corner man ever. The advice after round 4. Flawless...

I'm amazed that Rogan got up from that liver shot. You literally heard the pat, saw his legs go limp. It was nuts. True toughness.
13:40 Knockdown
22:12 TKO

Both boxers are great professionals
this is just business were still friends gotta love the respect from fury

It's a pity Rogan started boxing so late. He had talent.

Same commentators who said “ rogan a big man at 16’.5 stone “ when he’d just been announced at 15’4”” 🙄
rogan was distracted by the crowd in the 5th , he looked away and ate a punch , looked like there was a fight in the entrance too the stadium 🤷♂️
Looks like he looked away and got the signal to dive.

Tbf i'd want out of that fight by then aswel
He was looking at his corner, those body shots were ruining him.
Clearly looking towards his corner. Can't blame his cornerman for stopping it after Rogans body language. He was look8ng for a way out at the end.
Fury showed rogan the first 2 rounds thst he couod do nothing and rogan wouldn't land a punch. He then showed him if he puts it on him he can hurt him easily. Watching the old fights shows he's always been good natural talent
Rogan was old and washed up here also wasn’t as fit and trim as when he won pf
WHY has it taken SO long to put this up??.
Defo especially with fury demanding a round of applause for him at the end

Furry 😂
The lad can fight. Both of them can.
Is he related to Joe Rogan?
Yes it is his brother. Both used to play hurling professionally until Martin decided to try boxing at 30!
Tyson is a good man. 👌
Fury who hangs around with criminals and who is a proven anti-Semite. ,
That's what you think is a good man. Weird
Once Rogan knew the fight had been stopped he got pretty brave
Agreed ... and also wobbly !
Fury looked in great shape at this time in his career
Fury wanted head gear as well as the sparring kidney pads, but they though thast was taking things a little too far.
Wooooooow king ..
😍😍😍
This Rogan is such a hard dangerous man, but his heart seems so soft haha
Hard to watch the fight worrying that tysons belt will be up to his chin.
So Glad Floyd Mayweather exposed this Terrible Commentator, Fury was toying with this Journeyman
The commentator was Al Bernstein, not Larry Merchent. Al's perfectly fine and very knowledgeable, hall of famer now.
The age difference!?

Good early fight from Fury, but what's up with the massive leather padding Fury has covering his entire abdomen?

Martin Organ?
