These are not Sugarbeet hoppers. They are ortner hoppers used for aggregates and such. Chris, they were going to Grayling at this point. I can't remember if they were loaded or not. I want to say that they were for some business up in Grayling. I believe they came down from Alpena to Pinconning, then were picked up here to go to Grayling, perhaps a certain person, who was with me this day, could elaborate more on this for you.
Hello Chris, these cars are going up north to a cement(?) plant in Grayling. Justin is correct in saying they came from Alpena and vicinity, they were loaded there. These stone hoppers also go to Conrad Yelvington in Flint.
Why are they taking the hoppers north?
sugar beets thats where they come from and the sugar beets is what the sugar that goes in Tea and other baked goods that you eat and drink every day
