gotta love when a bluegill can bend your rod. i tried to get a couple monsters this summer /fall. got a few around that size or a little smaller but not a huge one. though if you have fishbrain app. you can look up castaic lagoon. and some chick got a serious trophy bluegill. i think it was this year. i use shorter ultralight i love to ultralight fish even a lot of my bass get caught with it. what size is your ultralight? keep at it and dont forget to go for bass also. i usually go for gills when i get bored of not getting bass but i noticed when i started going for gills also and not just grinding for that one bass catch i started not catching bass as much. i go to castaic lagoon and upper when and if i can get there. bass in so cal are hard to catch but they can be huge. i got a couple nice ones this summer but i seen some huge ones jump at like 2 am. i put a vid of one of the gills i got this summer if you want to check it. nice vid and fish cya
