Pro tip - have a filter that filters out containers, and keep it on at times whem you are looking for stuff in your inventory. Because you will "select all" and you will "repackage" all and that's when you'll find out that you have a lot of stuff in your containers. 😏
I forgot to mention the things you can do with the Personal Assets search tab, there's special terms you can use to search for categories of things like ships etc 😯😎
My own method is to set a "valuable items" filter for something like 250,000 isk then sell anything above that. Anything below that gets melted down into minerals!😎
I don't really like filters it's overcomplicated. Would be nice like i want to filter all my salvage i can get out of my security missions. So i do quite a few mission store them all then add the entire inventory to a filter nah gotta do it manually for each item. It's great for small things not great for big things. Probably need to make filters at some point but rather download some.
Good thing about filters is that they are retained so you only need to go through making them once. I only really use basic ones. Anything over 250k value goes into a sale box. Everything else gets melted down.

We've all done that at some point 😭
One way around that is to use Audit containers then you'll get a warning (but they barely hold any volume)
Jesus, THANK YOU, man! I've never used filters, but have so much stuff in twenty fidderent containers now, it's getting hard to fin on occasion.
