My name is Autumn and I absolutely love it when people say Autumn instead of Fall. it made me smile every time you said it! It felt like you were recommending all the books specifically for me. which are all amazing books :)🧡
I can tell you are going to fuel my fall addiction perfectly hehe I love everything fall, even tho Halloween isn't actually a thing here in Denmark i still kinda love the spooky aspect of Halloween, and because Denmark is in the southern part of northern Europe (Southern part of Scandinavia) we get a lot of "spooky weather" this time of year, with the fog and the rain and thunder and all that good stuff, and I love it! :P
@@alexandraroselyn I sure do hehe awww thank you for saying that I appreciate it ^.^ it's not very danish to be proud, but I kinda am proud of my country 😅🧡 but the best thing is that we feel the change in seasons ^.^
Oooh i love that kind of spooky weather. Where im from (Philippines) we dont get that kind of weather. All we have is pure sunshine, if not, pure rain. Nothing in between.
@@marianangelie hehe my sister in law is from the Philippines and she usually has a bit of a hard time handling the cold weather here hehe and she is always asking me why I'm not cold when I am wearing a light jacket while she is wrapped up from head to toe 😁 and then she dreams of going back to the Philippines where it's nice and warm hehe they were actually just there for 3 months at the beginning of the year, and it looks so beautiful! ^.^
Mexican Gothic is on my fall TBR list in my TBR cart. I'm excited, I wasn't expecting to hear that it was gross/gory. The Ocean At The End Of The Lane is hauntingly beautiful. I've gotta find that illustrated edition!!
Rules for Vanishing is why I subscribed to your channel. I loved your aesthetic and how you described the book. I still haven’t read it yet, but I’m going to soon! 😄
I just finished A pinch of Magic and I agree with it being on your recommendations. I love how the sisters come together but most of all how Betty refuses to give up.
First Frost by Sarah Addison Allen!! 🍂🍁🍎 I just started reading this and it is the MOST PERFECT FALL read!! I am absolutely loving it so far. The descriptions are amazing👏
Have you read If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio. If you liked The Secret History you may like that. Definitely one of my favorite mysteries. A bit of dark academia and a toxic friend group.
Rules for Vanishing is life! I read it last year after you kept talking about it 😂 I will just randomly think about that world and that story. Same with Neverworld Wake. I read it after you recommended it. I loved it, too!
I saw a book in the children's section at B&N yesterday. I bought the Nook version. I love it already. It is called Pumpkin Spice Up Your Life by Suzanne Nelson. It is more a YA. Pretty fun and very fall vibes!
I have been wanting to read Neil Gaiman, I will have to check out the Graveyard Book for sure! I have the Wicked Deep on my shelf now and will have to add it to my October TBR!
Yesterday I read Coraline for the first tima and I couldn't put it down! I loved it, read it in one sitting. I really liked The Graveyard Book too. I have to re-read it soon! :)

Caraval and The Wicked Deep are such perfect autumn reads! I need to check out the rest of your recommendations 😊
Yeah the red wool series is one of my favorite books to read for cozy feels because every time the creatures of red wall have a feast or lunch or whatever they describe all the food and atmosphere it’s nice
I just read Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Season of the Witch by Sarah Rees Brennan. It was surprisingly very good. It is great for fall. It is charming, fun, magical, spooky, atmospheric, introspective, and sweet, and with many quotable pieces. Brennan is a good writer. Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman is good also.
I'm reading Jane Eyre atm. and it is perfect for fall tbh :) i am loving it a lot ^.^ ... Potkin and stubbs is also really great for this time of year having sort of a detective noir, but with ghosts vibes hehe
@@alexandraroselyn I can only recommend it, I really don't know of a story like it really :) the writing is beautiful and the story is both sweet, sad and creepy at the same time 🤧
Love your graphics! Thanks for all the wonderful recommendations. I love The Ocean at the End of the Lane. Im surprised The Night Circus isn’t on your list. It is the most atmospheric book I’ve ever written, and all that talk of caramel popcorn and hot cocoa and cinnamon donuts. Yum! Jane Eyre is another wonderfully atmospheric fall read with some spooky vibes, and it’s a super easy classic to read.
Everyone keeps recommending Caraval and it keeps calling to me, I haven't read it yet. I absolutely loved The Wicked Deep, Lock Everydoor, and Home Before Dark. I just finished The Sundown Motel by Simone St. James, an adult book, and it's very spooky, very creepy, and now one of my all time favorite books. 📚🧡🍂
Watching this way late because I am ready for fall vibes now! The Ocean at the End of Lane is definitely one of the most unique, wonderful books I have ever read. It definitely gives me some chills every time I read it! I actually just read Lock Every Door and... I did NOT like it, lol. I thought the first half of the book could have honestly been totally cut. It took so long. The second half was ok but I wasn't into the twist. I would have actually liked a straightforward serial killer type of thing more.
I don’t like thrillers or scary anything but I was born on the 24th of Halloween and I love the atmosphere and aesthetic of autumn! I love when Halloween is kinda cutesy and not just scary! I do like mystery books though!
WOW that intro! Forreal forreal tho will you ever do a video on how you do that graphics and make the intros in your videos? cuz DAMN I LOVE THEM SO MUCH ALWAYS and I'm SO CURIOUS!!!
I have read all three your middle grade recommendations. I can add two more spooky books to recommendations: Coraline by Neil Gaiman and City of ghost by Victoria Schwab. It's kind of funny that I love spooky middle grade and YA books but I don't like adult horror books 👻
If you want to hear food described very well any more cozy vibes with a bit of adventure as swashbuckling you should read the Redwall series by Brian Jacques, cause I know you like middle grade and this is middle grade or YA
Most Terry Pratchett books are atmospheric but the wee free men is so whimsical and beautiful and nonsensical and also so matter of fact and so so atmospheric. 10/10 would recomend. Also the Magnus archives is a podcast that is so spooky and creepy and scary and also very atmospheric.
I’m saving these recommendations for next year bc I’m Australian and we are about to go into summer now lol, but I’m reading the secret history at the moment and I love it
omg I'm so sorry lol but! On the bright side you live in Australia which might just be the coolest place in the whole world- I want love to travel there!!

Love all your recomendations♡♡♡ You have to read "The thief of Always" by Clive Barker. It was written for children but for me it is for any age. Is the perfect read for Halloween if you like magic.

Alexandra Roselyn ahhh omg thank you 🥺 you’re too sweet for this world.
I think saying “fall” for the season is so weird. Like... named a season FALL because the leaves are falling ?
Autumn is a beautiful word.
Meddling kids and supernatural enhancements both by edgar cantero. They're the fun kind of spooky and I love them both! 👻🎃
