Finally a use for all these essential oils I have collected. Scent wise, the sky is the limit! Thanks for the tip! I think I'll try the citrus blend first...
I make my own soap, (5 gal pail, looks like shortening, lasts us 4+ years) and have been adding white vinegar to stuff for years. I did an acid test on heinz cleaning and white vinegar from sams, sams actually had a slightly higher acid value. Cleaning vinegar just isn't worth the extra $$. I add 1 cup to clothes in an xtra rinse and spin, washer doesn't have a softener addition. works fine, stuff is very soft and never smells like vinegar. Colors last and I am wearing t shirts and pants well over 10 years old.
Thank you for the amazing video.☺️ I’m assuming I can put it in the fabric softener slot instead of using the ball you use. Also can I use this on any fabric and color?
I have not tried this in a fabric softener slot however I can not imagine it being a problem. I have used it with just about every imaginable type of washable fabric and had no problems. Thank You for watching.
Finally, someone who loves to wash laundry like me. Lol! I don't like ironing, though. Great video. Thanks for posting :-) Side note: You resemble the Great Bill Withers :-)
LOL. Yes laundry is my favorite household chore I will admit it. Thank You for watching. The person who I most get compared to right now is Jeffery Wright.
It is easy but the timing is important. You need to add the vinegar after the first rinse. You could pause your washer, add the vinegar and let it finish the cycle. I hope that helps. Thank You for watching.
Hi. Nice idea and I want to try it. I have some white vinegar and lavender oil. The white vinegar has a very strong smell to it and I wonder if I should dilute it with water? I was planning to make this in the remains of an empty fabric softener container so I'm not sure how much lavender oil to add. A little scary because I don't want my washing to smell of vinegar afterwards. Great video, very well presented and you seem a cool guy.
Thank You. I have never had any problems with my clothes smelling like vinegar after. None. I most of the time just do this to scent, so I lean heavily into the lavender. Thank You for watching.
I've used it for years including the use of the fabric ball. LOL i thought I was the only one who did that. I'm happy I'm not. In either case I love my vinegar and essential oils. Sooo good for the clothes. for extra softness I know some ppl will use wool dryer balls. Thank you for posting. Look forward to more videos. :-D
I have pet rats and I discovered that I can use vinegar to clean their cage safely. I'm currently switching to a zero waste lifestyle and I'm amazed at how many different uses vinegar has!! can't wait to try this although I'll probably soak mine in a cloth and just throw that in the dryer, thank you for the video! 💕
The only thing that I would worry about is the vinegar smell. It should fade after a while. I have a fabric softener video for dryer sheets. You can check that out if you would like. ruclips.net/video/hcyTSCfQQWo/видео.html Thank You for watching.
+Vixyvi Thank you. I have a few videos coming up where I am also using vinegar for cleaning you will see in the next few weeks. Thank You again for watching.
I made some tonight using lemon oil. No time to infuse, so I just used it, hope lemon works ok. Doing my laundry now. Too busy to look for my lavender tonight.
I have never tried lemon but it should work. The scent without infusing will be very light, but the softness will be there. Let me know how it works. Thank You for watching.
Hi 😊 Thanks for making an all natural fabric softner! Just wondering how long the shelf life is, also does this soften the water and lastly, does this help take out an static that would be created by the drier?
The shelf life has to be pretty long i have kept it for over 2 months with no problems and the same scent strength. The vinegar that is used is a natural static reducer. Thank You for watching,
I am trying to make my own fabric softener sheets but I have a issues with static, it's 1 cup vinegar and 20 drops essential oils I'm using clothed squares. Do you have any ideas to keep it from static? I love your fabric softener, I am waiting for the week to use it in washer. Thanks
I do not know for certain however I have found that since I have been using dryer balls that I have not had static at all. For the dryer sheets I use just the oil on a soap bag it works really well. Thank You for watching.
That is a good question, you can try: Thyme, cinnamon, peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary and/or lemon. I hope that helps. Thank You for watching and commenting.
+Tamera Weeks It is only liquid and crystals. It just depends on what you prefer. The liquid has acid(vinegar) that helps get rid of extra detergent that is left in the clothing which in turn makes the clothes feel softer. I hope that helps. Thank You for watching.
+Tamera Weeks Oh sorry. No I was talking about the softeners. The vinegar difference is the acidity. Regular is about 5% acidity cleaning is about 6% so t will power through things.
Me too!! Their is mothing better than knowing exactly what are in your own products! Non toxic, all natural better for the environment..and so much more!
Hi. I'm going to try this. Wow. Sounds so great. Thank you.
I would love to hear what you think. Thank You for watching.
You are so adorable. I love the way you explain things. Thanks so much
LOL. Thank You.

You mention 2 fabric softeners... what's the second one?
The other fabric softener is a salt crystals that are scented. I found I like the liquid the best. Thank You for watching.
@@cmcolemanhome i must have missed it... how much and what do you add to the vinegar (besides oil)? Does this go in the softener tray in the washer?
I've used it for years including the use of the fabric ball. LOL i thought I was the only one who did that. I'm happy I'm not. In either case I love my vinegar and essential oils. Thank You. Yes I thought I was the only one for years. But I am glad to know that I am not. Thank You for watching.

Do I use the essential oil that’s for my diffuser ?
Yes essential oils are great. Thank You for watching.

I am sorry to say that I have not tried any as of right now. Sorry, Thank You for watching.

I just use regular vinegar. No smell at all left on the clothes which is what I like 🙂
Yes, you can leave the oil out for unscented, Thank You for watching.
Right now I'm using just white vinegar, seems to do ok. I don't use much cause the washer I have is a portable washer.
I also use just plain vinegar too. It works great. Thank You for watching.
Will white vinegar works?
Do you have water in the botle before adding the vinegar?
No there is no water in the bottle. Thank You for watching.

Thank You very much. You rock !!!
Can Apple vinegar be used n or rice vinegar?
I would personally would not for a few reasons but the main reason being cost. Thank You for watching.
Now I know what I did wrong. I have tried making my own. I did not know to let it set!
The scent will develop. Thank You for watching.
Thanks 😊
Thank You for watching.
I'm not catching the difference between the 2 fabric softeners. Can you help me out? :)
+Tamera Weeks It is only liquid and crystals. It just depends on what you prefer. The liquid has acid(vinegar) that helps get rid of extra detergent that is left in the clothing which in turn makes the clothes feel softer. I hope that helps. Thank You for watching.
CMColemanHome Are you describing the difference between regular vinegar and cleaning vinegar?
+Tamera Weeks Oh sorry. No I was talking about the softeners. The vinegar difference is the acidity. Regular is about 5% acidity cleaning is about 6% so t will power through things.
CMColemanHome Crazy me....I'm even more confused now. lol What is the difference between the 2 fabric softener videos. Liquid vs. Crystals?
The vinegar attacks the detergent left in the fabric from washing. The crystals scent and "soften" the fabric.
Love ur videos!! 🤗
+MB RC Thank you. I have a ton of fun making them. If you have a request let me know. Thank You for watching.
CMColemanHome
