- 越南單親媽媽Thuy是一名律師，她和12歲的女兒，組成一個溫馨的兩口之家。2018年，她在只有5x20m的狹小地塊內，造了兩個相互獨立的公寓。一套留給自己和女兒住，另一套租出去作為民宿。來住過的租客遍布世界各地。而Thuy把房租的收入都用來做公益律師，幫助有困難的家庭。
Thuy is a single mom from Vietnam who lives with her 12-year-old daughter. In 2018, she built 2 independent apartments in an area of only 5x20m, one for her and her daughter, and the other as a guesthouse for visitors all over the world. Thuy spends the rent helping underprivileged families as a pro-bono lawyer.

My brother is an architect, specialised in budget friendly functional (amazingly beautiful imo) houses in a poor country, and people still manage to spend crazy amounts of money in the most disastrous designs as long as they fit the "huge house" standard. Drives me nuts.
This house is twice bigger than that of middle income families in Vietnam. Only the few rich can afford this large land. And there’s only 2 people living in this house.
She’s exactly what i dream to become in the future. Hardworking, financially independent, loving and caring.
What a beautiful, confident, strong, and thoughtful mother! Her daughter is fortunate to have her as a mom :)

She inspires me, am Vietnamese and I only thought of having my own small house when I earn enough money but now I think I want a house kinda like this when I get rich
One of the best uses of a small living space that I’ve seen. I’m just wondering if the exposure to the elements makes it hard to clean, especially when there are torrential rains.
Baby Tips i think the slide window is good solution for raining days.
However, let rains gets in to the house from that oepening and just lie on sofar and watching it is an absolutely amazing. :))

Maybe the skylight is enclosed with glass? Idk. It would not be good to have torrential rain pouring straight into your kitchen.
It doesn't matter if one comes from a double-parent or single-parent household or is an orphan. What matters is if love and happiness are present. Since you have opened part of your home to be a BnB, we would love to stay and marvel at your place when we visit Vietnam next. 😃

I like this house. And I really admire the owner's philosophy of life & her philosophy of design. Simplicity is joy. Love fosters life. Helping the poor brings happiness.
What an inspiring woman. Her work as a lawyer for the poor and this house are a credit to her. I love that she hopes for her daughter to enjoy a slow life, to be in touch with nature. Lovely.

It’s not about the design or the architect who build beautiful homes, it’s about how the people in the society live. For example: It doesn’t matter how many beautiful skyscrapers or homes the Vietnamese people can build, the lack of consideration for others, the environment and the disorganized, disorderly, disobedient for the rule of law, the Vietnamese society will go no where but remains the third world slum for generations to come. The disorderly of traffic and throwing garbage everywhere are the proof Vietnam is a third world slum.

Oh sista, 5x20m is considered good space. Here in indonesia, the standard housing is 60m2. Usually 6x10m or 5x12m. So your property is good.

Da Nang city is one of the best city to live in Vietnam. There are many airbnbs with good design there, if you've got a chance I hope you'd visit this city someday. It's really beautiful.
