You remind me when I first bought my BW...took it to the keys, camped on the boat, took it solo to Bimini, 24 years later, I still have it and love it. Enjoy the boat!
My wife and I own almost the exact same boat; we opted for the live well and did not get the Bimini Top otherwise the same. Up here in the Pacific Northwest we cruise Puget Sound from our beach front cabin and also trailer to the nearby lakes. Fantastic boat when the wind and waves come up. Other boats cringe at rough water, the Montauk loves it, just ridiculously stable in challenging seas. I am now on my sixth power boat and this is the best one ever. Fast enough to get you where you want to go and built as solid as a bank vault. Boats just don't get any better than this...
Take good care of that boat. I had my Montauk 17 for 18 years and sold it for $500 less that what I paid for it new. Boat, motor and trailer garage kept. Dried inside and out every time. Looked new when I sold it.
You made a great decision on the Montauk. I have a 2018 with high railings and split rail. Need it here in Boston with the seas. You will know what a good decision you made when you go to sell it someday and get much more money than you thought you would.
Beautiful boat! Safety first though. I see you don’t have the ignition shut-off teether attached to you. Wow!, and you’re moving pretty at a pretty good clip. 😮

Total time takes about 1.5hrs for me. I have music playing and take our time making sure it’s clean throughly before moving it into the garage. About 15-20 minutes to flush the outboard. Hope this helps! 🤙
Absolutely! Super easy to trailer. Amazing on fuel and rides like a bigger boat. Pretty amazed with its ability to stay dry and take some bigger waves.
It does not like too much outward trim so as long as you trim her right, there won’t be porpoising. I’m really enjoying the 115hp. I haven’t experienced the 90hp but I rather be overpowered than under.

@@BikingWithTheBoys You just got to pick your days..a good Bermuda high and its as flat as Biscayne Bay!

Thanks!! Can’t go wrong with boats and bikes! 😎
Nice boat. Looks like you are having fun with it.
Thanks 🙏
I love my ,2013. Glad to know the ramp traffic on the weekend. Congrats
Thanks! Enjoy your boat!

Thanks so much for sharing! My wife and I are looking to buy the same boat!
Great boat! I’ve been very happy with it so far. For the wife and I it’s perfect.
Congradulations, gorgeous looking whaler, and my favorite whaler size. We have a 1992 montauk also
Thank you!! Glad to be apart of the whaler family 🤙
Love the boat Adriel Great choice!

Perfect Boat.
We have to make a video of that Boston Whaler Super Sport you have 😁
@@BikingWithTheBoys Ill follow you just like in the trails lol
Nice little boat the 17’ when you sell it to go bigger “you’ll be sorry “ you didn’t keep it 😢
Love it still and don’t plan on getting rid of it. It’s the perfect boat for us 😎
Great Boat! I just bought a custom made 2023. Coming in 3 months.
Dude, Learn how to fish. That is a perfect fishing boat.
HAVE FUN
Thanks! Congrats on your custom boat. Learning to fish is the plan :)
I’m thinking about getting one looking for a outrage have to determine size don’t know yet
Perfect day
It was!! ❤
I always wanted one, or the 15 . Just not in the cards
Do you store it in your garage? Do you have a vid of it in there?
I do store it in my garage and that was one of the huge selling points. I don’t have a video of it in the garage yet but plan to make one. 🤙
@@BikingWithTheBoys I saw you ask if it would fit on someone else’s video before you bought it. Looking forward to it. Thanks
Niiiccce! With the 115 it must really fly. If you installed the bimini, was it easy or difficult?
Thanks!! Bimini came installed 😁. With the 115 we get about 46mph at WOT. Plenty fast!!
I’ve had bigger and smaller . My 02 17’ Cape Horn will never go anywhere. Easy to pull and still goes out 5 miles 😂
When you get home, how long does it take you to clean the boat and flush the engine?

does it have a habit of proposing ? is a 90HP ideal on the 17'?

Could I ask what beautiful whaler cost
You’re looking at 50-60k depending on options.
Believe me - in my experience, they are worth every penny.
Was that a new boat or used? Looks like a nice boat for 17 ft good amount of open space and storage
New 2023 boat. Great space for a 17 footer.
How much??
About $65k
how much did this run you ? I live on the gulf side I am looking at a Carlina Skiff 17LS or Whaler 150 or 170 Montuak
Hey! Depending your options, it’s going to run you 50-60k. 🤙
I am going to get me one this is the machine to have you have convinced me
