How you responded to watching the video is how someone acts that's gone through a lot of self-reflection and healing. You didn't make excuses and owned up to bad behaviors. Girl, that's healing at its highest level. I know it was tough to watch, but keep being kind to yourself because you do deserve it. And what you said about "you treat yourself better these days, which in turn means you will treat others better" is 1000% true. BUT, that doesn’t mean we didn’t have our share of not knowing the healthiest way of relating to our partners when we were younger. I just watched the "being mean" video and wtf?? I know nothing about what happened but more than half of what was said wasn't even mean, she was asking him to do things for her and then the other half was just funny lil things and every relationship is different. You never know what their relationship with each other was like, whether its more lovey dovey or something like teasing each other for laughs. Whoever made that video also has other hate videos up and imo anyone who makes content like that or even consumes stuff like this isn't worth paying attention to! Wow. One of the realest moments I've seen on YT. I think I found you thorugh that very same video. And while my initial impression of you wasn't great based on that video, something about you and your content drew me in. I could tell how much work you put in, how thoughtful you were about your sound, your visuals, your recipes. How talented you were and apt with actual cooking unlike so many other food content creators. And of course, you were beautiful. Idk if you’ll ever see this comment, but I have been watching your videos since that time and I was one of the people leaving nasty hateful comments. And I still remember watching the video of you explaining your life when it got to the point the whole internet was being hateful, and I remember feeling so terrible and embarrassed for ever being so cruel to someone who was hurting. And looking back, the reason why I was so mean was because I saw so much of myself in the certain ways you would express yourself and my own self hatred and anger would find some horrible outlet in commenting and participating in the hate. You being able to watch those videos and look back and not have anything to say to defend yourself is the growth!! You know that you’ve grown and the person you’ve grown from is someone you have compassion for but no excuses for. I’ve been in the same boat, looking back to those years and hating myself for who I was. Forgiving yourself is one of the hardest things to do. Because we are so quick to beat ourselves up and for extended periods of time which at a certain point only becomes more damaging than we already feel. So giving ourselves the grace, patience, and kindness to ourselves in the midst of learning from our mistakes is so important. We are human beings figuring out this life thing alone. It’s a blessing and beautiful thing to witness when you can hold yourself accountable and take moments to acknowledge everything. Both good and bad. This is something that I am still learning. Being self aware is more important to me than ever before. Sometimes I think about reaching out to my former ex in hypothetical situations. It’s been 2 going on 3 years when I left him read lol. But the part where Veronica goes “we both played a part in the relationship and as to why things happened the way they did” I felt that completely 🥺 it sucks how he ended things but I wonder if it’s too late/would be weird to see what he’s up to.

I just watched the "being mean" video and wtf?? I know nothing about what happened but more than half of what was said wasn't even mean, she was asking him to do things for her and then the other half was just funny lil things and every relationship is different. I think I found you thorugh that very same video. And while my initial impression of you wasn't great based on that video, something about you and your content drew me in. I could tell how much work you put in, how thoughtful you were about your sound, your visuals, your recipes. How talented you were and apt with actual cooking unlike so many other food content creators. And of course, you were beautiful.
Long story short it's incredibly evident that you've done a ton of growing, and as a third party, you're almost unrecognizable from what you were like before.
Now you have this air of sincerity and refreshing energy. The self work you have put in is showing, and I'm so proud of you.

Idk if you’ll ever see this comment, but I have been watching your videos since that time and I was one of the people leaving nasty hateful comments. And I still remember watching the video of you explaining your life when it got to the point the whole internet was being hateful, and I remember feeling so terrible and embarrassed for ever being so cruel to someone who was hurting. And looking back, the reason why I was so mean was because I saw so much of myself in the certain ways you would express yourself and my own self hatred and anger would find some horrible outlet in commenting and participating in the hate.
You being able to watch those videos and look back and not have anything to say to defend yourself is the growth!! You know that you’ve grown and the person you’ve grown from is someone you have compassion for but no excuses for.
I’ve been in the same boat, looking back to those years and hating myself for who I was. And being kind to our past selves is crucial, but also not making any excuses for your past self is crucial as well ❤

Forgiving yourself is one of the hardest things to do. Because we are so quick to beat ourselves up and for extended periods of time which at a certain point only becomes more damaging than we already feel. So giving ourselves the grace, patience, and kindness to ourselves in the midst of learning from our mistakes is so important. We are human beings figuring out this life thing alone. It’s a blessing and beautiful thing to witness when you can hold yourself accountable and take moments to acknowledge everything. Both good and bad. This is something that I am still learning. Being self aware is more important to me than ever before. Sometimes I think about reaching out to my former ex in hypothetical situations. It’s been 2 going on 3 years when I left him read lol. But the part where Veronica goes “we both played a part in the relationship and as to why things happened the way they did” I felt that completely 🥺 it sucks how he ended things but I wonder if it’s too late/would be weird to see what he’s up to.
